Overall, my experience is good. I’ve used the app for a couple of years because of one of the vendors I went to use that app exclusively for appointments and payments.

Pros

Use mostly for appointment scheduling and changing appointments and search for vendors to use in the are I need help with.

Cons

The fees for cancelation wotj the vendors and last minute changes are challenging sometimes because it is automatic the fees if you cancel even if your vendor says they won’t charge you

### "Appointment Scheduling with Vagaro"

My overall experience with Vagaro has been good. I don't really have any complaints to register at this time.

Pros

The scheduling and appointment management system keeps me organized. I especially like that it integrates with my Google calendar so I can see everything from one place. It is uses friendly and is a good value for the money. It has loads of helpful features.

Cons

I can't really say that I have any cons to list at this time. I don't use many of the features but the ones I do use work well.

### "Very disappointing."

We really expected a lot of great things from Vagaro however the biggest complaint was due to the programs speed, (line-ups at the frontdesk waiting for screens to load) and not being able to "quickly" view a "full" receipt from a single client appointment.

Pros

Originally we liked the price and the online booking module. Also the look of the calendar. Customer support was quick and the support staff always very friendly and helpful.

Cons

Online program is very slow (line ups at front desk due to waiting on software pages to load. nothing to do with computer or internet speeds). Also crashed multiple times, especially when creating new appointments and changing pricing or service times. Beware... we had to get their free card reader for salon staff to clock in and out. We only subscribed to the program for 1 month. Upon cancelling our subscription we were charged and additional $140 (free card reader fee) I was told due to an early cancellation. Funny, I thought we could quit anytime. Apparently we found out we had to be with them for 1 year before you keep the card reader. They would not accept the reader and refund the fee if we returned it. The card reader is only listed as $69 new on shopify. Also, You can't see a report with the receipt total from a clients service. It can only be viewed as individual transactions. There are so many other problems to list. We switched to Mangomint only after using Vagaro for 1 month. Previous to this we've used Daysmart for the past 13 years and would have stayed however we needed a better platform for online booking. I would advise staying away from Vagaro. Mangomint has been spectacular.

### "Great platform if it actually works for you "

My spa used vagaro for a full year and we couldn't wait to switch. While Vagaro offers many features, they up charge for everything and their software is not reliable. The constant bugs with the platform made us eventually switch to Mangomint which we have been very happy with!

Pros

We liked that it was very customizable and also liked that the business gets like a "profile" and the visible reviews were a plus. It was easy for my staff to use as well and it did have a lot of features which were helpful for the business.

Cons

I had constant issues with Vagaro glitching with certain features but the most frustrating one was online booking on the clients end. Many times clients were unable to book an appointment, the website would crash or they'd get an error message. They would send screenshots so I knew it wasn't user error. This happened frequently enough that I questioned if I was losing new business. Clients also had issues logging into their account, or their appointments not showing up on their account, and yes, we would verify that they were using the correct login. I knew other spa owners that had issues as well with both of these problems mentioned. The platform also looked outdated and the client facing software is clunky and frustrating to use. We had other issues but this was the biggest pain point which caused us to switch.

I love having vagaro and once I figured out how to find my hairdresser, it is easy to use and look at my options before securin an appointment.

Pros

It has made scheduling my hair appointment so nice and easy. I am able to see times available without having to call. I like the calendar feature.

I had a hard time at first finding my hairdresser, but now I have a login and it goes directly to my account with my hairdresser.

### "Not ideal for small businesses - look elsewere before it's too late."

Not the worst, but not the best. We have experienced consistent losses and insufficient support from their customer service. The software works if we are strictly talking about being able to book appointments, sell products and check out clients. But anything more than that is often hard to navigate. I do not recommend a small business use Vagaro if you rely on gift certificate sales and cancellation fees.

Pros

It does the bare minimum of allowing you to book appointments and allows clients to schedule online as well.

Cons

Horrible customer service that does not care about the business. All they do is give you links to articles on their customer support page and take days, sometimes even weeks to respond to you regarding ongoing issues. Customers are able to upload their DEBIT card to their payment method on file, meaning if there are insufficient funds on the card, you can't charge them a late cancellation fee. Vagaro will randomly delete client profiles, but keep their appointments, so when you go to check them out you actually have to delete the appointment altogether and re-add them to the database. This means you will lose all the client's info as well as credit card info. They have a no-refund policy, so don't count on them to be willing to compensate you for significant financial losses due to their incredibly glitchy and poorly designed software.

Not a bad experience but wasn’t ultimately the overall system I wanted. I wanted a more personal system so I could see my personal sales etc.

I liked the organization of it and if multiple providers use it easy to see each others availability. Also like the shared client lists

Not being able to make things private if you wanted to be able. I would have like to have the option to private my client list

### "Vagaro lacks Google Business Integration "

Overall, my experience with Vagaro was ok. I would not recommend it to new business owners just because of the fact that they are not integrated with Google Business and the price. When people find you on Google and want to book appointments, they get stuck if Vagaro is the appointment platform you are with. This frustrated my potential clients and lost me a lot of business, so I would not recommend it.

Pros

What I liked most about Vagaro was that I can add employees under me easily. It was easy to set up and get my business moving.

Cons

I was very disappointed that Vagaro was not integrated with my Google page. It was very difficult to switch from Square to Vagaro because of this. When clients would book appointments, it would go to my Square Appointment Setter because Vagaro would not integrate with Goodgle, which was so odd to me. Also, the monthly payments for an app that doesn’t integrate with Google Business is way too high. As a small business owner it’s very important that we cut corners every which way we can; and I think that the people who decided to charge what Vagaro charges did not have the customer in mind when deciding, just maybe their profit. In the end I had to leave Vagaro because I found a cheaper app that intergraded very well with my Google Business. I have reached out and complained to them about this but got nowhere.

### "Grea value for great price "

Its worth it for the proce you pay. If it wasnt for thr medcial charting (we are a med spa), i would keep using it. Its really made for salon or aesthetician who dont need to chart.

It is very user friendly. Easy to set up and use. Good value for what you pay. Easy to send consent forms via tests, easy to upload pictures.

Not really made for medical charting. Also cant edit client's information if they have a vagaro account.

Overall it was a good experience because I was successfully able to schedule an appointment with Vagaro and that was really the whole point of me going onto that platform. I didn’t have any hiccups throughout the process and though it’s not a software that is mind blowing or anything like that, it really doesn’t need to be. Because the reality is less is more and as long as you’ve got the basics down, which they do then you have a good product. From my experience as a customer/client I just need to go on and schedule an appointment to get a service done and I was able to do so and it’s a simple as that, especially in comparison to ones I have used that are not even as advanced, and those can be frustrating. if you think about the task at hand and the times when people usually need to schedule an appointment. They’re doing it often during quick moments they can insert into their busy life of juggling multiple things, i.e 5 minute break at work, sitting on the train ride home,or whenever they can break free from their toddler taking a nap to get that quick personal break for their own self-care or need. People are looking for scheduling their needed appointment to be easy and as quick as possible and that’s basically what it was like to use. My user experience was seamless and I would really have no reason not to recommend to a friend or colleague

It gets the job done. I used it as a client scheduling an appointment and it might have been early on in the technology so I’m not really sure how it is currently I’m sure it is more advanced, but it was simple enough to use and I was able to visually see the openings to schedule, etc.

Cons

There wasn’t too much that stood out to me necessarily, which I guess in a sense that would be what I like the least. Scheduling an appointment sometimes can be a chore and since there’s nothing really that stands out that I like the least, it would be kind of a good or bad thing. And it’s really because it was just fairly basic. Nothing that wowed me or set it apart from similar platforms.

### "Vagaro Scheduling Review! "

While working as a hairdresser/in the beauty industry part-time, I found this software to be extremely useful! It keeps me on track as well as my clients.

Pros

Easy to navigate for both myself and clients. The best feature in my opinion is the automatic updates/reminders it sends to clients to keep everyone aligned and on time as we all have busy lives.

Cons

There was not really anything I didn't like! I used this software for 3 years and never had an issue with it.

easy to use across multipe platforms and for payments processing as well as appointment scheduling too

Cons

only thing would be that the one time i needed to use customer support it was hard to get someone on the line

### "Good Service, but expensive"

I loved Vagaro the use of the calendar, the free website, how I was able to colorize my clients. It was just all simple and easy to use

Pros

I most liked the way the customer was able to login into the system and book appointments without my help

Cons

Everything was great until the prices started to go up after the free trial version. And I must admit they are expensive

### "Great Scheduling App for Service Providers"

Pros

If someone does not use my specific link, they find it difficult to get to my scheduler.
