"Good for Solo Stylists, NOT for Multi-Location Salons"

**Overall:** Vagaro may work well for independent suite renters, solo stylists, or smaller studio environments where operational demands are simpler and downtime impacts fewer people. The platform has features that can be useful in those settings. However, from a true multi-location business operations standpoint, our experience has been very different. When managing multiple teams, front desk staff, schedules, client communication, and payment processing across locations, reliability, flexibility, and offline accessibility become critical. Unfortunately, we do not feel Vagaro is currently built to support those operational demands at the level their marketing suggests.

**Pros:** User-friendly interface and can work well for independent suite renters, solo stylists, or smaller studio environments.

**Cons:** Extremely disappointed with and the lack of transparency surrounding support, hardware compatibility, and overall system reliability. We invested in the PayPro & Go system based on how it was marketed "as a seamless front desk and mobile checkout solution designed to scale with and support growing businesses." Unfortunately, our experience has been very different. After purchasing the hardware, we quickly discovered that the system is highly restrictive and essentially locked down, limiting our ability to integrate additional front desk accessories and hardware. This was not clearly communicated during the sales process and did not align with the flexibility and scalability that were presented to us. What made the situation even more frustrating was learning about the strict no-return policy only after realizing the hardware would not meet our operational needs. We were left with a costly setup that does not function the way we were led to expect. The reliability issues have been even more concerning. System status updates frequently indicate that services are operational when, in reality, there are significant disruptions. When the platform experiences outages, there is virtually no offline functionality available. Staff lose reliable access to calendars, appointment details, client notes, and payment processing. For businesses that rely heavily on scheduling software to operate efficiently throughout the day, this creates major operational challenges. As a multi-location salon business, outages like these are far more than a minor inconvenience. They can disrupt operations across multiple teams and locations for an entire day. When your business depends on software for scheduling, client management, and payments, there should be a dependable backup or offline mode available. From a true multi-location business operations standpoint, our experience has been very different. When managing multiple teams, front desk staff, schedules, client communication, and payment processing across locations, reliability, flexibility, and offline accessibility become critical. Unfortunately, we do not feel Vagaro is currently built to support those operational demands at the level their marketing suggests. Support has also been disappointing. Responses are often vague, information is inconsistent, and there seems to be very little accountability when trying to resolve ongoing issues. We expected transparency, flexibility, and dependable support from a company positioning itself as an all-in-one business solution. Instead, our experience has felt restrictive, misleading, and deeply frustrating.

"I give Vagaro a 10 out of 10"

**Overall:** My overall experience with regard has been raged. I definitely prefer it over square I was gonna use Washington but decided to go with Vagaro because I saw so many websites that I really enjoyed navigating and looking at it is a pretty seamless process. I think what I don’t like also is that I have to make a profile in order to book but anyways, actually that is a positive thing so I’m adjusting well.

**Pros:** My favorite thing about Vagaro is the customer support. I love how every time I call they always ask my information they doubled down on my security question. They always check through everything thoroughly with me and make sure I have an understanding they even offered to do things they are able to do on their side if I’m busy and then wait for me to confirm that it has been done!

**Cons:** The least thing I like about Vagaro is the fact that I cannot do deposits without having the shopping cart purchased so I pay an extra fee just to collect fees to protect my business so that is an unfortunate side of it as well as I do not like that, you cannot customize the amount of a deposit per an appointment that it has to be a set amount per service.

**Reasons for Choosing Vagaro:** I preferred Vagaro because I felt like I had an easier time navigating it and I did like the way website booked when I visited other users

**Reasons for Switching to Vagaro:** Square fees as well as making a website with them was super difficult. I had to work with multiple outside parties to create a template and then every time I wanted to edit it, I had to go back into those to make small changes and it was really hard to get them to save.
