“The least thing I like about Vagaro is the fact that I cannot do deposits without having the shopping cart purchased so I pay an extra fee just to collect fees to protect my business so that is an unfortunate side of it as well as I do not like that, you cannot customize the amount of a deposit per an appointment that it has to be a set amount per service.“

Overall, it's been a great few weeks. I am about to complete my setup for two different companies under one login, on one platform, streamlined with Vagaro's payment processing.

Pros

What I like most as a business owner is the value for money. While most other platforms charge large fees, Vagaro does not. Their customer support is amazing! While most other EMR customer support teams struggled to understand the obligations I have regarding patient care, they were more than willing to reschedule appointments. Their system's ease of use is beyond comparison. I struggled setting up my own webspace with other products, but their University and help videos, as well as other features such as their payment processing, API, and other technical items, helped save time. So, for $23.99, I get a base plan, but I can add on and delete as my company's needs change! Most of their add-ons are just $10.00. I can use the domain that I have already purchased. Their widgets and links, as well as the software's look and feel, are very professional. They have helped me to create a trusted and branded look and feel for my services and products!

Cons

Nothing. I have not encountered anything that they aren't willing to work on or help me with. I asked that they help me set up SOAP notes, and they were more than willing to walk me through "another" FREE tutorial class!

I’m so glad I chose Vagaro—it truly makes my workday easier and more efficient. My clients love the convenience of online booking, and the seamless checkout process creates a smooth, professional experience from start to finish.

Pros

Vagaro is incredibly user-friendly and keeps my day running smoothly. It helps me stay organized with my appointments and client formulas all in one place, which is a game changer. I also love that my clients can easily book online at their convenience. The automated reminders and confirmations are a huge plus—they save me time and reduce no-shows. And to top it off, the checkout process is quick and seamless.

Cons

I wish it were easier to track retail sales and product usage. It doesn’t integrate well with other programs that offer these features. It would be great if it connected directly with suppliers, allowing me to order products with the click of a button instead of having to do it manually.

### "Vagaro is a great place to start"

Overall, I've had a very positive experience with the software and would recommend it to many people. However, I don't think it is the most suitable product on the market for my company, at the moment - particularly for schedule and appointment management, inventory, and online booking.

Pros

I love that the company has sped up its features/updates release cycle. I feel like it's constantly improving. There is a lot of value for the money. I also think Vagaro has an extremely intuitive and user-friendly interface.

Cons

As a natural hair care salon, I feel like the software makes it evident that the company does not understand our workflows and how they differ (significantly) from cut/color salons. As much as I love the software, this weakness really creates pain points that can't be overlooked or ignored. Additionally, I get frustrated with the fact that Vagaro uses features (i.e. referral tracking/rewards) for its own business, that it doesn't provide to its users.

I’m happy with Vagaro over all. Once you get use to it and all they offer it is very user friendly!!

Pros

I’m still learning all the things Vagaro offers. Everything is super user friendly and it makes my business run more smoothly.

Cons

I wish it was more affordable. You charge for everything you offer. That we can’t write our own memo in the text reminder. Service glitchy at time so I need to keep a secondary credit card machine. Needs to be a better way to void and refund.

Overall, I’m happy I plan to have Vagaro for a long time. As long as they continue to support Stylist and Artist the way they do I will support them.

Pros

I like that it was not just a scheduling app, but it included marketing and CRM. It very much help support you becoming a better business because it includes those things that as a newer artist or stylist, you may not have thought of and as an older Artist and Stylist it just makes it easier so you’re able to do it even when you’re busy with clientele

Cons

I think what I like least about it is the queue. I feel like I will post a promo with a specific time but then by the time it gets put out it’s thrown off the whole time and it doesn’t allow me to edit like if I post something on Sunday to end on midnight, but it doesn’t go out until 9 PM. It’s too late. I also wish that they did more advertising or marketing around highlighting businesses to help us get more clientele. I’ve never received any clientele through the Vagaro app. Every client I’ve had has been one that I’ve pushed through myself.

### "Great features, could use more Customization options"

I love the 24/7 customer service. That feature is fantastic and I think it will lead me to increasing my overall satisfaction with Vagaro

Pros

I like the customization features although I feel there could be more. I like some of the tools like booking widgets that allow for ease of scheduling.

Cons

I feel like some of the customization upgrades should be priced at a lower price for the monthly subscriptions. Maybe packages of upgrades such as allowing for sole proprietors to customize differently than multi-location companies. So I'm not having to pay $10 for this and $10 for that a month and eventually paying over 50 or $60 a month as a sole proprietor to use functions that I have no use for whereas a package that would include things like a waitlist or automatic customer replies for someone that doesn't have a front desk person would be amazing. Just leaning into what each industry user might need at different stages and points of the business

### "I love Vagaro! "

I’ve been using vagaro for 8-9 years now and I don’t think I’ve ever had to call customer service, and had very few frustrations. That’s saying something with today’s technology!

Pros

The ease of scheduling clients, the clean and concise look of the day, week or month calendar. And that it includes SMS reminders- it’s incredibly helpful!

Cons

That you have to pay extra for so many things including soap notes. As a massage therapist, I’d love to find a scheduling app that those are just included in the base price

I really like how easy it is to use, how easy it is for clients to book online, and the automatic reminder texts.

Cons

The price and that I cannot book reoccurring clients longer than two years out. I also don’t like that holidays are not listed on the calendar.

I enjoy the customer service and I wish that Vagaro acted more quickly on adding features. Like memberships for a $ amount instead of making it specific to a service.

Pros

I like that I can add things a La carte as I need them in my business. I like being able to increase/ decrease my text plan as needed. I like the integrated forms per service to decrease liability. I like being able to be discovered by clients of other businesses that also use Vagaro.

Cons

I HATE that clients have to create an account in order to book an appointment. This is such a deterrent for new/ prospective clients.

I remember chatting with development back in 2009 after salon hours to go over updates like being able to customize service pics etc. I have loved growing with the company over the years.

Pros

I love that this software has all the necessary features for marketing emails and messages to clients. I love the drag & drop email builder to make templates for future use

Cons

I think it is overall a solid product. If anything I would grow the platform to help more with the financial side of the business.

Pros

Customer support is easy and accessible whenever I need them. Easy to use, online booking is nice and easy as well. Scheduling is easy to manage.

Cons

Wish clients could book easier, wish they did not remove the booking percentage where you can control how much booking you want to be displayed to clients. Wish when you activate forms it came with file uptown without having to pay extra for clients to send pictures through form.

I would give it a 7 out of 10— worst timing when it decides not to work or someone is working on the back end of it…

Pros

The look of it and some features. Cost is good—— popular enough so people use it for multiple businesses.

Cons

Not enough updates- not accurate when running numbers etc. just overall could be more user friendly.

My overall experience with VAGRO has been exceptional. I’ve been a loyal user for over a decade—starting with scheduling and payments and now using it for my website, marketing, forms, inventory, payroll, and analytics. VAGARO has helped me grow my business and brand by leaps and bounds.

Pros

What I love most about VAGARO is its ease and affordability for small business owners like me. It’s given me the tools and resources to both launch and scale my service-based business with confidence and professionalism.

Cons

What I like least about VAGARO is that occasionally, after a new update on the mobile app or desktop, there can be brief delays or minor glitches. However, these are usually temporary and quickly resolved.

### "Good bang for your buck "

Overall- great bang for your buck! Highly recommend using the website builder tool and utilizing the online booking and shopping. Just make sure you are double checking everything after porting over from another company.

Pros

support is great- they really try to help. I also love how easy payroll is. Another great feature is the website Builder.

Cons

It was a difficult transition from Booker to Vagaro due to our memberships. Also you cannot charge a credit card processing fee, which is legal in our state.

Overall, I love the usability of this appt. Love that it's also a mobile app for when you're on the go and need to book an appt. Love the new look.

Pros

easy to use, scheduling management is great. beautiful interface and display. Love that you can see your whole schedule for the week, month, or day.

Cons

Please set up perpetual standing appt option. Painful to advance standing appts every 2 years. Please increase font size, not enlarging appt field. We need to see the client names. BIGGER LETTER SIZES! Lastly when searching future appts for a client, we need to see the one that's next first, not the one 2 years from now. We need to scroll a lot to find the next future appt. And would also like to see the day of the week when searching a future appt, not just the date. Day of the week is important.

I like a lot of the features. Ease of use with the checkout. The systems support needs work. The people are great with support but it kicks me out of the chat when I go through different pages and I have to restart sometimes

It’s easy to navigate for checkout but the back end of stuff feels disorganized and confusing. The features like business cost is nice

The reports and settings and how things are in multiple places is difficult. Like I should be able to view all members on one page to edit the membership and not go into each individual customer

Vagaro is the first booking app I’ve used that introduced me into taking a deposit while booking an appointment for my services. Doing so makes things easier for me to have less no show clients as they are aware of my booking fees and policies. I’m grateful for Vagaro for being different than other apps I’ve used with just the overall professionalism.

Pros

I like that Vagaro is easy to use and understand. Their customer support team is always helpful and quick to respond when needed, my clients are able to schedule appointments without any hassle. Vagaro makes online booking easier for me with email,text and in app notifications so there’s no way to miss an appointment!

Cons

I honestly don’t have any complaints about Vagaro. Like I said before, the app is very easy to understand and navigate with and if you do have any questions or issues customer service is ready to help ASAP.

Overall I would give it an 8/10 for overall usefulness and performance! The glitches make it difficult at times but it is still totally worth it. We’re just hopeful they’ll continue to improve. Simplifying it for ease of use with settings would be helpful too!

Pros

The ease of client management, online booking, and a great value for our money are all factors that we love about using Vagaro!

Cons

The app is glitchy and slow at times. This makes it less helpful as a work tool and very frustrating when we cannot rely on it.

I’ve been with vagaro for over seven years and I have been pleased with them for the most of them. So I give them a GOOD JOB

Pros

From jump I loved the price of the service. You pay for what you need and can adjust it as your business grew. I also like the templates that help with email marketing, gift cards, and the vagaro community with daily deals. It helps keep new business coming in.

Cons

The main thing that I never really liked was how hard it is to change or update client information when they created the account. A lot of times the client doesn’t remember how they did it and forget passwords so they wind up creating multiple accounts. I also get complaints that the booking system is difficult for the customer. I just think it’s too many steps for them and they would like an easier process but in the end it gets the job done.

I love that clients get a text/ email when you book appt and a reminder for appointment. Something I don’t need to do

I can’t make the words bigger. They go longer which doesn’t help US border line blind people. I would like to stretch it so it all is larger words

My experience has been really great! That means alot because I’m not very computer savvy. A lot of the options I can figure out on my own because it’s self explanatory but if I had trouble customer service walked me through it

Pros

I love that you can call and talk to knowledgeable techs in the customer service department the best. I find the website very easy to navigate and it offers everything you need to operate your business

Cons

Sometimes there is glitches in the software or slow operation, I don’t use the payment processor available because it seemed deposits were slightly delayed I think because of the west coast east coast time difference

Pros

Vagaro application offers my team a great dealbof value for money. Before now, we try hard to meet up with schedules and payments but all that has now become history. Its quite easy to use Vagaro and it has consistently improved since my team started using the application

Cons

It's a bit costly but cinsidering the value Vagaro offers, we do not mind using the application. It woulf pay off having a bettet payment plan for teams that use the application heavily.

Pros

I’ve been using Vagaro for about 10 years now. It’s been great having an online booking system, being able to manage clients from my phone, no matter the updates it’s been so easy to use, great customer support with any questions I’ve had, and it’s a great price for all its features.

Cons

I think the hardest part about Vagaro is not being able to put pictures like gloss genius. And also having to set up an account instead of just being able to quickly make an appointment.

Overall we are happy with the system! Customer Service has been very helpful and the merchant services have been very reliable!

Pros

We love the price and simplicity of using the booking system and merchant services. It is nice to have a system to use as a team at an affordable price!

Cons

We are not a fan of the frequent updates and bugs associated with the updates and the frequent verification codes associated with it. We would like the ability to text receipts to customers.

### "5 years on Vagaro and counting!"

I always recommend vagaro to anyone starting out their own business or is salon or beauty based. It’s an easy way to track number and clients which I do love about the app.

Pros

I’ve been with vagaro since I started my business 5 years ago. Everyday I learn something new using vagaro and it’s easy to use tool. And it’s super easy for my clients to book online. I can block off my schedule or add service providers to my books. The system is friendly for almost anyone! It facilitates my life 90% without me having to worry about always booking or taking deposits manually.

Cons

I don’t have much I don’t like about it , sometimes I do feel like the pricing is a little high for some of the special features as a small business who’s income is based solely on booking. I do wish it had maybe features that helped get more local leads.
