Did? Is it shutting down? I love the couples and combo option to allow two practitioners to be able to book for services for two or more people at a time.

Cons

Not being able to lock notes so they can't be deleted by staff but still being able tot allow staff to add notes. not being able to use daily deal for combos and or couples massage option

Even my least tech savy staff love this app. It's like their own little business is their pocket. You can update colour themes and making the app look visually pretty and personalised is also a great feature. Overall it does what I need it to do and makes my life easier. What else could you ask for.

Pros

This system is the easiest I have used and has the most features for a decent price. Has most of the things I need and clients always comment on how super easy the online booking system is. Needless to say we get a lot of clients booking online The mobile part of the system is the easiest I have used and you can do so much from your phone

Cons

A few things need to be customisable such as the text message system especially in Australia. Probably needs text message marketing options as well. It could be a little easier to add services to existing services. You currently have to pretend to checkout the client and add the service there. It's easy to delete or alter services on an existing booking but not to add the service.

Overall my experience has been Wonderful. I seem to find more ways to expand, streamilne and save time every time I log in.

Pros

Vagaro has such wonderful functionality, its very user friendly, and the updates and offerings that were implemented to serve users during the pandemic have been absolutely outstanding. The multi use calendar has been a very valuable asset to myself and staff and the combined inventory tracking, checkout features, and marketing tools have streamlined my business. Using Vagaro has saved me time, frustration and has increased our professional presence in our community. One of the the best features is the unbeatable price. I haven't found any platform that has satisfied our needs as diverse Holistic Wellness Center with room to grow.

Cons

I wish I could print my address list to a label so I can send old fashioned b-day cards. When I create my marketing blasts the finger scroll jumps very quickly leaving the user to have to manually us the scroll to the right. Very minimal issues to even speak about.

### "Switched to Vagaro from Booker and I hate it but I’m trapped"

I would not recommend Vagaro to a company in the spa/massage industry. The program has potential but the errors listed above cost us hundreds of extra dollars a week and also put our most coveted asset, our reputation, at risk.

Pros

We went with Vagaro because it had many of the features our customers were accustomed to, such as loyalty rewards and memberships.

Cons

The customer memberships don’t roll over if the customer doesn’t use the service that month. The way the system tracks multi service prepaid packages, is confusing and nonsensical. I spend countless hours a month combing the system for these errors and it makes our company look incompetent to our customers.

We switched to save on costs and because Booker had many glitches. Booker/mindbody has great features but when the company merged they hung original Booker customers out to dry. Customers starting off as brand new were able to utilize more advance and efficient features whereas customers who had been using the program for many years didn’t sync with the new updates.

Cons

Honestly the only thing is waiting for deposits. 24 turn around would be great vs waiting for specific business days. This hasn't been an issue at all just a preference

Just about every option is incredibly customizable and easy to use, from making and editing appointments to running reports. We are gradually introducing online booking and that is going well too!

Pros

Vagaro is intuitive and user-friendly on both the desktop and app versions. The design is sleek and clients love being able to receive text and email reminders. We switched from a software that had some additional features but cost nearly twice as much. The switch was easy and Vagaro support was helpful. Vagaro fits our needs exceptionally well. Some of our favorite features include pop-up notes and being able to customize timing for each appointment. We also enjoy the pay desk, the card reader with contactless payments, and being able to clock in hourly employees with the barcode scanner.

Cons

I only have one recommendation for a feature. We'd love to be able to send a notification from the front desk to a stylist's phone when someone "shows" for the appointment. They get a notification if a client checks in from their phone, but not if they walk in and the front desk chooses the "show" option.

We considered staying with STX and switching to their cloud-based software, but the waitlist to integrate was several months long and we had already received excellent customer service from Vagaro, so we decided to go with Vagaro.

My clients and myself love the reminders. It's easy to use.

Cons

I wish we could put a person's name in to find a gift certificate. Also, wish we could have another color for personal time off besides brown. but really I guess it doesn't matter that much. the most I don't' care for is the soap notes, it needs to be more professional looking when printed out. the best soap notes program I used was win city soap notes they were very professional looking and easy to use. Printed out very nicely. unfortunate they are not in business any longer. I use clinic Sense which is ok.

Overall Vagaro is a great system that helps my small business run smoothly. And I love how easy customer service is to get a hold of.

Pros

I have been using Vagaro for almost 6 years and still love it! As a small business owner is it challenging to juggle all roles of a business; owner, service provider, secretary ,customer service, book keeper, etc. Vagaro really helps in taking a lot of the day to day operations off my shoulders. The online booking and appointment reminders are amazing and save me so much valuable time! And having access to my business data at just the click of a button is amazing.

Cons

One of my least favorite features is having to pay a swipe fee for each credit card transaction on top of my monthly fee. And paying extra to utilize other features such as online gift card purchasing. It would be nice if everything was one flat fee each month.

### "Trouble from day 1"

My advice, run FAR AWAY from this service. Its overpriced for what is actually does, you will spend so much time trying to get things to work. I have since met many owners who have had same experience. I wish I NEVER switched. Its been the WORST decision I ever made in all my years with my business.

Pros

I like the potential it could have. Being able to have schedules for different types of things and online classes.

Cons

We got a card reader that NEVER worked properly. After 2 months, 8 hrs of logged calls, and almost 40 emails, I got a manager. We finally got a new reader, and yes I had to pay to return the one that never worked. It cost me so much business. The customer service is bad. The people are not trained they have to go look up then email you if they can find it. I was told multiple times it didn't matter I had a contract since I BOUGHT the reader. Once I got hold of a manager it still took several weeks. The money they owed me I didn't get back, they gave me some but in "Vagaro bucks" then charged my card again even when I had enough "bucks" to cover. There are so many issues with this service but switching again would be a nightmare, but I'm close to just doing it anyway. Also they do deposits supposedly daily but some days you get 3 different deposits and it just makes it more complicated than necessary. The company definitely has a lot of work to do in getting their act together.

### "TERRIBLE customer service and point of sale!"

Online booking was a nice perk, although if a client didn't know how to book the first time(new online website) they would add themselves again so deleting a profile found to be quite an ordeal. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE customer service. I've been a user for the past 2 months and can't wait to find a new software company. It started great, so much easier that square appointments, online booking, the works! Wow... no. The booking service works okay, when it wants to open. I have better luck on my phone but being that I have an iPhone X I don't have a headphone jack so to swipe a card I use my iPad. It never works the first, or usually the second time so I have to pull out he reader and plug it back in. Any issues or questions I have leads to me having to wait on hold for customer service for 20+ minutes or waiting for an email response. There are a ton of hidden fees every month that we're never discussed(of course in the fine print but never but an agent) for card processing and I am beyond disgusted at how they are handeling a gift card order I purchased for my new, small business. I paid for perfect gift cards that were designed incorrectly because of me, but because I was told the wrong information by their team during the beginning stages of the ordering process. They are beyond condescending and unwilling to work with me in this issue and even went to the length the add up what both orders plus shipping would cost me if I decide to fix my issue

Cons

I was willing to get past the slower, unreliable point of sale and I can't start to explain how much time and effort went into setting this up and transitioning from another booker is so I'm so discusted to have to do it again due to in my opinion an easy fix by the company. I still can't believe how this matter was handled and how I was spoken to over a small order of gift cards.

You didn't report issues accessing any of the account functions. If you had we would have advised on how to correct any connectivity issues. The mobile CC reader which operates with the Vagaro Pro app does use a headphone jack which works with the iPhone X adapter; we have no issues w/ compatibility/connection reliability. The report of a 20-minute hold time is inaccurate. Even including high call volumes, our average time to answer is 2 mins. We are also hiring more staff as we would rather it be even less time. Rates & fees were disclosed on the merchant services signup page & you had a screen to review the application before signing, disclosing everything. You called 1x regarding merchant services and had all of your questions answered accurately. The call record was reviewed. Gift card order: design, proofing, and approval process completed. You never told the graphics team you wanted a foil inlay on gift cards and you approved the proof. Mgmt professionally told you all of this.

The thing that I really enjoy about Vagaro is that its very user friendly.It's easy to set up and navigate.The customer service is good and responds fast. It's a great software for busy people who run their businesses.The marketing and Promotion tools are very useful as businesses may be able to gain more new customers.

Cons

Vagaro's advantages outweigh the disadvantages but I have to admit that the pricing may ba a little more expensive than other options.Vagaro offers a lot of features but some of them are only available with a Premium Subscription which could be frustrating for users on a budget.I would also appreciate more if all the desktop features were available on the phone since it can be a little limiting when you manage your business on the go.

Overall, I am pleased with Vagaro. I'm looking forward to being able to upgrade to some of the other feature such as text message marketing, file storage, and the online shopping cart.

Pros

What I like most about Vagaro is the price point and that it's user friendly. I love the way you can customize your subscription to meet whatever needs you have in your space. The site and app are easy to navigate and I love all of the reports that are available to me.

Cons

The main landing page and the search function are challenging to navigate sometimes. When I walk my clients through it, they understand it quickly but the main page isnt very intuitive.

I am able to keep track of retail, inventory, back bar expenses, etc with vagaro. It has made my life easier having it all in one place. I love Vagaro and plan to continue to use it as long as I own a salon.

Everything you need for the salon is on this system. Its so easy to use and everyone has had an easy time figuring out how to book appointments or themselves online.

Cons

I wish some text marketing/communicating was included in the basic membership.

I am fully satisfied with Vagaro.

Pros

You get the biggest bang for your buck with this app. I have tried a few others in the past and paid way too much for features that Vagaro not only charges an affordable price for but the set up in easy and self explanatory that you don't really need to call into tech support. I have also tried several of different types of marketing on various platforms but Vagaro has one that I have gotten plenty of clients from. Their forms is amazing, you can do intake forms and send out surveys and given that we are going through a pandemic its an easy way to get fast feedback from you clients without being in front of them. Everything is basically customizable without being too overwhelming with their features. You can literally tailor it to your business needs without being forced to have a feature and pay for it just because it falls in a certain category. Keep up the good work Vagaro!

Sending an invoice for a future appointment. Sometimes we get booked for chair events in the future and the company hiring us requests to pay a day or two before the event.

Mindbody charges a high price to not only use the platform but to make any additions to it as well (feature, forms, emails/texts). Vagaro has an unbundled price and allows you to add these different features for a small additional fee that can add up but its still affordable in comparison. I believe Vagaro was the perfect switch for me and the only thing I miss about Mindbody was the view of the schedule. It was a bit easier on the eyes compared to the view of the schedule on Vagaro. I don't have any suggestions on how to fix it though so it isn't a complaint but just a suggestion.

What I appreciate most is the great customer service. I also appreciate that the "request for a feature" is actively monitored and new features are constantly rolled out. I appreciate that we are able to speak to the same support reps consistantly vs calling a call center where you can get different reps on each call and often need to explain your issue from the beginning. And they are super friendly.

Pros

Vagaro iseasy to use, easy to train, and offers fair pricing.

Cons

If a client has a Vagaro profile but is new to my salon I have no choice but to accept their existing profile because you can not use the same email for a new profile. That should be an option as some clients may need a new profile for these services vs other service they obtain elsewhere

Through the years, I've tried a number of other online scheduling tools, but Vagaro is far and away the finest option for companies of any size. Vagaro has considered every detail, including cost, usability, online tutorial videos, quality customer service, and a plethora of customizable features like gift card and credit card integration, as well as email and marketing tools.

Pros

Excellent service is a major selling point for me. Their instant messaging service is quick and simple to use. The program is constantly updated, making it seem better and better while improving its functionality.

Cons

I'm not sure I have many complaints because they seem to listen to their consumers and address any issues that arise. The biggest challenge has been teaching customers how to properly pronounce the name.

Pros

I really like the user friendliness of the system for both the administrator and the clients. Set up was pretty straight forward and my clients appreciated the new membership and package functions.

Cons

Some of the add ons were not quite easy to find and had some hidden costs that were not upfront. Vagara does not use square which was what my first system used.

Reason for choosing Vagaro

I really liked that they were not pushy sales people trying to sell their product. I liked the look and feel of the system and the price was on par with other booking platforms. Their payment system was either on par or cheaper then other payment systems.

Checkfront is a great tourism based booking system but not good for continuous client based users. They do not offer packages and membership options and the backend is not user friendly for the layperson.

### "Customer Service Knows Me Well!"

We've been using Vagaro since opening in Feb 2015 and we've seen many changes and updates and 99% of them have been fabulous. The development team is pretty receptive to new ideas and I see requests that we've made become a "new feature" many times so I know they are listening to the needs of their customer. Customer Service Chat knows me well... even though I wonder if they do a quick game of "Rock...Paper....Scissors" when they see me pop up on chat they're always happy to answer a question and walk us through something. :) The software itself is very user friendly and most of our clients say that the online booking features are fast and easy! I have no doubt that Vagaro will get better as they grow more customers. I'm sure for the independent service provider the core needs are 100% met. As larger salons join Vagaro the features that bigger salon/spas need and want will be added. Thanks Team Vagaro for a great booking/business software! ~Tyne & Team Zoi'A Spa & Salon

Pros

Easy to use for both Staff and Online Booking for Clients. Staff loves the App to keep an eye on booking. Marketing tools are a good business driver. Business reports are getting better with every update. Online tutorials are great for new staff learning system. Online chat option is AWESOME! Customer Service is A+

Cons

\-Cancelation/ Waiting List needs to be better- it's currently not useable for the large number of requests we have for a cancelation list. -We've had some retail snafu's but those are getting better as well. -Marketing promos could use a "retail" option. -Checkout could have some updated options like a "hold in cart" so if you have to interrupt a sale you don't lose everything you put in checkout screen.

### "Vagaro didn't work well, and it was tough to cancel the subscription, Beware"

Not real great software, and poor customer service. Its a scammy product and they make it difficult to cancel.

Pros

I wanted to use it for the scheduler and payment processing.

Cons

The credit card processor did not connect well to multiple devices, and so I cancelled it. I actually had to pay for the CC processor, but when I went to cancel Vagaro they still forced me to pay another $100 for a "free" CC processor, even though I paid for it. Very frustrating and the support was not good. DO NOT use this application. Its very scammy.

The reviews were good, but the product did not perform.
