Overall, we are happy with Vagaro and the support we receive.

Pros

Vagaro fits our needs for our spray tanning and teeth whitening business. Very user friendly and improvements are always being made. Customer service is excellent.

Cons

On a few rare occasions over the past 4 years that Vagaro has gone down during business hours, it completely disables our business. Can't see the calendar or check out clients.

Pros

I love that Vagaro offers a sleek, clean view on the app interface. I can easily locate the functions and conduct the processes in less that five minutes. The program is organized and boosts engagement with the client and myself!

Cons

I don’t like that the software forces the client to pay a fee for rescheduling an appointment a second time. At that point, there should be a notification setup within the app to connect the client and primary service provider.

Other online software competitors cannot compare to the level of Vagaro. I've used atleast 3 to 4 others through my employers or other spas and they are nothing like Vagaro.

Pros

I love how everything is in one place. Billing, scheduling, charting, inventory, marketing and so much more! I love how customizable the software is, especially the forms.

Cons

It would be great to have my renters on a restricted access log-in so that I can charge rent to them, but not give them access to my client list and only have access to theirs.

Vagaro is hands down the best!! We thought we needed to switch to Mindbody recently (because a handful of nearby studios used them), and we were back in just TWO weeks because Mindbody's software and customer service were unbelievably awful. Vagaro has superior customer service, intuitive system use, MUCH better user-interface, and overall an excellent staff and customer experience! Our clients were SO happy when we switched back to Vagaro :)

Pros

It's easy to use, customer service is always available and helpful (even if they can't solve your request right away, they get back to you), our customers LOVE the ease of the program, and it's actually affordable!

Cons

I do wish you could check people in to a class and if someone didn't show, it would register as like 7/8 in the class count after checkout so we could see the "realtime" class attendance.

It really takes a lot of weight off my shoulders as a business owner. I love Vagaro.

Pros

I love that once you set up the different features to your likeness, you can really step back and allow the system to work for you. I open my books to new clients on a monthly basis and being able to just turn on my Online Booking and allow the clients to do the booking themselves is AMAZING. They have a form to fill out, they put down their card information (in case of late cancellations), sign a liability waiver... and it's all in ONE place. Vagaro is truly amazing and I always recommend it to fellow service providers.

Cons

With the Online Shopping cart, it would be great to be able to set it up online but then have "pick up" because it would be so much easier for people who work in a salon and don't want to be bothered with shipping things!Also, writing your own cancellation policies or maybe providing templates would be great so you can really customize it on your own.

Overall the sales department was very good. I opted not to have my data transferred because I was told some things may not transfer. The experience with tech support, so far, has been the least desirable. Hoping they can get the team trained and also trained on listening skills as well.

Pros

Overall easy to use. I like the prebooking option of choosing the number of weeks for scheduling and it taking me to the exact date. I like that it has an automatic website as well as an on line store. Easy to book an appointment. Easy to move appointments on the same day. Love being able to choose several retail items on the checkout/ticket screen. I also like the save for later option on the ticket screen as well. Additionally, I can send the client an invoice and they can pay from home. I like the form option as I can get my clients to fill out consult form and send it to me before their appointment. Be aware this is an added fee though not much $10.00 more a month.

Cons

Tech support needs more training and listening skills. Though I was told a bunch of new people has just started with them so they are still in training. Referral section does not allow to keep up with where the clients are coming from. It's a type in only so no way to pull a report. Challenges with credit card machine working properly. Challenge to move appointments to a different day and actually see the schedule. Instead it shows openings which really doesnt help as I need to see the actual day. Transfer was not guaranteed so I ended up transferring everything manually.

It's been grea; however, getting on with customer service has been a problem, which is understandable. With Mindbody the tech was able to pop on my computer screen to help, which convenient and sometimes easier than trying to explain a situation to the tech they can see what or who you are looking at.

Pros

It's user friendly, for both the studio and client. Being small business owner, the cost of services is saving me so much. Wish I would have made the switch long ago. I like that we have different options for packages an d services.

Cons

Wish there was an easier way to checkout a clients for multiple days. Often times when I back to reconcile accounts, it would be nice to do one client and reconcile with a drop box check-out in one place for multiple days.

They were too expensive. I could not make the packages my small studio needed without paying extra money as if I was a large facility. There were several increases in fees. Also, the marketing that Vagaro offers us is way better and does not require us to be on a large facility rate scale to have access to the tools we need to be successful as a small business.

A few words : EXCELLENT, STREAMLINED SERVICE AND MAKES MY DAY FLOW

Pros

I love how streamlined it has become in my work/life balance. It's almost like my boss dictating when I can or cannot have the day off. It just helps in many ways with me mapping out my day and as a big plus I can link it with my Apple Watch.

Cons

Honestly I'll need a while to think about if I had any complaints in the past but for now I'm just gonna enjoy my experience.

Everything so far has been excellent! I am so happy to have this all ready to go for use and excited to use it! Thanks to all at Vagaro!

Pros

I have just finished setting up Vagaro for our Medical Imaging Division and it was so user friendly and I really like it. I am so excited for our customers to start using it! All the options are absolutely wonderful and it was pretty easy to set up- when I called for support the support staff \[sensitive content hidden\] was excellent. I highly recommend this - have not seen it in action but if it is as smooth as the set up was- I would try it!

Cons

It is very focused on Salon and Spa services which required me to make some work arounds and be creative as our company is healthcare. This is not for our patients but our clients. Vagaro helped me with all my work around questions and I simply love it so far!

Reason for choosing Vagaro

Calendi was too simple and not detailed enough for our business. I am not a wiz at these things so the tutorials and support lead me here. Square has no live support and that affected why I didnt choose them.

I pretty much like it and think it's quite easy to navigate!

Pros

It's fairly nice to look at, easy scheduling, dependable, somewhat flexible and has lots of nice bells and whistles like reports.

Cons

SOAP note function is not up to par -if you are a healthcare provider who needs to document according to industry standards, the SOAP product will not fit the bill. You would have to create manual work-arounds.

I used Vagaro in the past as a Nail Technician and my clients loved the reminders, I greatly appreciated the reminders. I used the reporting features weekly. With now being an Aesthetician I use it daily. I love how easy it is to use, I love that clients set up their own appointments also. The Credit Card processing works well for me also. Highly recommend this software to keep your business operating system simple.

Pros

Scheduling, reports, credit card processing. I eventually want to add on more features, like forms and website. All has worked very well.

Cons

If the internet is down or they are down, you can't reach any of your information.

Pros

It looks great. I switched from a different EHR because this looked like it had more options, better options.

Cons

You can't fully set up your profile until you migrate you information over. Once you do that, you cannot do it again, so if you are continuing to use your old software while to get Vagaro setup, you can't update it again later. If you cancel, they continue to charge you, even if aren't using it, or can't use it. The promise features that are still in development, so when you try to incorporate them, you're told they are not available yet. Just offer a good product and and let people leave if it doesn't work. Charging on the front end before you get set up, and charge them again when they try and leave, just so annoying!

I love how streamlined all the processes are from the back end to the clients' end.

Pros

As a Solo Esthetician, Vagaro has been a life saver! I opened my business with only a few months notice and Booking, Electronic Payments, Reports, Website Menu, etc were all the least of my worries thanks to Vagaro. My clients love how easy it is to book through social media and to access my schedule. Not to mention a great place to find local businesses for other services needed. There are so many other booking websites out there--but recently witnessing other solo estheticians switch over to Vagaro proved how efficient this software is. You literally only need the Vagaro app!

Cons

This is not really a gripe, but you do have to take the time to watch the video tutorials and read support articles to educate yourself on this app. There are SO many features so it helps to set aside the time to learn what is offered and test things out. I am still learning about all of the features one year later, which is amazing.

Clients cannot see soap notes. They are internal facing only, meaning only employees can access them.

I just wish there was a little more to Vagaro when it comes to business essentials. It is really important for owners to track their numbers without having to do extra work and I just wish there was more there. I also wish that texting was a part of the program seeing as how contactless is the way to go but to charge an arm and a leg is a bit much. I get that new ideas are coming up and the actual subscription isn't expensive, but don't up-charge us because technology changes and you see it as a way to get money from us. I also wish there was an option for split payments of more than one credit card. I wish that they did NOT charge a fee for us to accept credit card tips. A few ideas and ways to help.

Pros

This software is pretty easy to use and it allows us to check our schedules anytime

Cons

There are always pros and cons, for me sometimes it's the reliability that bothers me. Sometimes appointments will not show and clients get a confirmation which is frustrating. I also don't like the way the company handles its credit card processing especially during covid, it would be nice not to have to pay an extra free when it comes to storing cards in the system. I also didn’t like how little resources there are for reports or how little the software offers you a boost when you pay for a service to "get noticed" otherewise everything is pretty standard.

I’m pretty mad that i started. I should have not been so conservative when i opened my gym and went with my gut. I’m in the transition of getting out. ALOT of client credit cards to transfer. Not easy. Not fun. Choose wisely

The marketing service wasn’t what I was expecting at all. And not what it was made up to be. I’ll be using the calendar and payment system for a little bit longer. Till I can transition everything smoothly. If I could do it faster i would. You can’t see payments transition like other payment company’s. Every feature has some type of limitation. I don’t believe they specialize in anything. I wanted to use them cuz I thought they would be a “all in one” and save me money. But it was a terrible idea. - EVERYTHING HAS TO BE PUBLIC - TAGGING PEOPLE FOR MARKETING IS A JOKE! - They have no where to store leads. Only customers. - you don’t have ANY flexibility building the website - the way your money transfers is a pain in the butt to keep track of. - The membership system is the most inconvenient thing on the planet. You get a notificaition but there’s no feature that it will automatically recharge and try again. - The customized app there’s no flexability too... they want ya to pay out the ass to just have a place for people to schedule. - the Percentages they take is CRAZYYY high.... anything over 4000 dollars they automatically take an extra 4% or something as an add on. - terrible business choice for

Hello Jake, Vagaro is not designed to be a sales-driven application in which you store leads etc., we are business management and scheduling software. We do have marketing campaign options available through both email and text message communication, and we provide dashboard level visibility into the efficacy of these efforts. The customized app is competitively priced, based on our research into other similar companies that offer it. Financial reporting feature allows you to easily check deposits from within the software. To have your clients book online you do need a public listing on the Vagaro website, but you also have the option of hiding your listing if you prefer. The marketing tool allows you to use a number of different filters, but to customize lists would require you to use client tagging. Our merchant services rates do not increase if you process more payments, and you can always select a merchant services plan that suits your needs. Regards, Dan C.

The direction and help to get my website domain, my webpage set up and online bookings was easy and over all a really great experience.

Pros

I love that this is so intuitive. The tech helpers are there to with great feedback and direction and always make me feel like this was a good decision we are all on the same team. I definitely will be sticking to Vagaro vs other platforms.

Cons

It wasn't able to integrate my online bookings with Facebook and, i would like more options for the look of my website for more relaxation massage look. Otherwise, it is beautiful and i do really like this a lot.

Pros

Vagaro has many features that helps me run my Salon business efficiently! I appreciate the call in helpline, great customer service and available hours. I recommend this software to any small business in my field.

Cons

There are not many cons, but to be perfectly honest there are few glitches from time to time. Making sure to shut down your system at the end of the day will help it function. I mean, this is technology after all!

I have really enjoyed Vagaro. My google presence looks nice and I am easy to find.

Pros

Online booking with a website is exactly what I need for a semi-busy 1 person ran business. Vagaro helps keep phone calls to a minimum by allowing customers to get information and book online.

Cons

There are a lot of cool features for this software (it appears to be set up mostly for hair salons. I am an elective ultrasound studio and boutique. I see there are more business that use vagaro that are similar in structure to mine. It would be nice if some of these features were geared more towards the type of business I am using it for. Also, it would be nice if the inventory could be set up to deduct a portion of product when a service is used, ie, 2oz gel used for 30 minute ultrasound session.

### "Quick and Easy to Use"

When all classes went remote during COVID, I was easily able to book my online classes and get the zoom link to attend. Easy and straight forward to use.

Pros

Vagaro made it easy to see what classes were scheduled each day on different weeks and to easily add them to my cart to check out. I also love the feature of adding it directly to my iCalendar after I booked so I didn't have to do it manually or forget.

Cons

The ability to add multiple week's worth of classes to my cart never really worked for me. Not sure if that was a bug in the software or if my provider didn't allow it. Not a big deal breaker to me.
