### "Customer Service is like no other!"

Overall, we are happy with the switch and would do it again. I can reach out to support and it seems like a small team as I chat with the same people over and over again and they are SO helpful!

Pros

The customer support is fast and incredibly helpful and features that supported my salon business were appealing when switching from Square.

Cons

The booking process on our end can be somewhat complicated. It makes sense why it’s done that way but we run an à la carte menu so our guests sometimes receive multiple appointment notifications for just one scheduled visit because they are booking multiple services in that visit.

### "Great App.."

Pros

I really like how easy it is to use, how easy it is for clients to book online, and the automatic reminder texts.

Cons

The price and that I cannot book reoccurring clients longer than two years out. I also don’t like that holidays are not listed on the calendar.

Vagaro is extremely customizable and gives me a lot of control over my schedule and services. I love that I can: •Set specific services to be available only on certain days or times •Adjust availability by room or provider •Easily manage bookings, payments, and client info all in one place It’s especially helpful for a service-based business because I can fine-tune my offerings and create a schedule that actually works for how I operate day-to-day.

Cons

There are a few areas that could be improved: •The automated booking confirmation emails are pretty limited in customization — I’d love the ability to add images and create a more branded, client-friendly experience •Notification settings can be unreliable from the client side — if a client has text notifications turned off, they may not receive reminders, which can lead to missed appointments •Overall, I’d love to see more flexibility in how client communications are designed and delivered

Pros

I’ve had a really great experience using Vagaro. The platform is very user-friendly and makes booking appointments quick and simple for both me and my clients. Everything is easy to navigate, which saves a lot of time during busy days. Their pricing is also very reasonable for everything they offer. Overall, it’s been a reliable and efficient booking system that I’d definitely recommend.

Cons

I’ve had a really great experience using Vagaro overall. The platform is very user-friendly and makes booking appointments quick and simple for both me and my clients. It’s easy to navigate, which helps a lot on busy days, and the pricing is very reasonable for everything it offers. The only downside I’ve noticed is that the app can freeze at times, which means I have to close out and reopen it more often than I’d like. I also wish there was a built-in feature to easily send a follow-up text or request reviews from clients after their appointments. Other than that, it’s been a reliable and efficient booking system that I’d definitely recommend.

### "9 years Vagaro user"

Costumer support has been great. Wish we would get notified when updating. Having to redownload credit card processing when busy after an update has always been challenging and annoying when i wasnt expecting an update. Also sometimes less is more. The reports, all the stylist really need as far as inventory reports goes is backbar on hand start of year and end of year. (Products we buy to use on clients, like color) Then separate report for just Retail same report beginning of year dollar amount and end of year. We need the dollar amount end of year for taxes.

Pros

Daily/weekly tracking. And how it keeps track of my inventory. All my clients love the weekly reminder and hour.

Cons

Last update they got ride of the weekly dates on the home page. To jump ahead 1-8 weeks. I rebook my clients 2 appts ahead and getting rid of that widget has made it take longer to check out my clients, with havinf to do more clicks. Also express checkout should included past appts and products.

Overall, I am enjoying my experience with Vagaro. My clients love that it is easy to book an appointment and I love that it is easy to navigate hiring staff doing payroll, sending email marketing and running reports and connecting external things like QuickBooks and gusto.

Pros

I like I like that I can do so many things for my business in one place. In the past before Vagaro I had to use several different systems and keep all of the different systems together via Excel tracker. Now on my reports are in Vagaro that I need so I don’t need to do extra steps.

Cons

I like all the features however being that everything is à la carte it can’t get expensive. While I feel that Vagaro is more expensive than previous software that I’ve used. I also feel like it’s totally worth it to have everything all in one place..

### "Not your average booking software "

Overall I would give Vagaro a 7/10. It’s too expensive not to be able use all the features and to also not be able to use it the way you would like . I could switch but then I I’m stuck with this $700 pay station

Pros

My favorite thing about Vagaro is the customer support . I get virtual and chat one on one support to help me better navigate Vagaro . The booking to checkout and client management is seamless .

Cons

There’s a bit of a learning curve , but I’m getting there . I wish there was a way to offer specific appointments ie 10a 12p 3p . Also everything is à la cart . It’s so expensive to get the best experience .

### "I give Vagaro a 10 out of 10"

My overall experience with regard has been raged. I definitely prefer it over square I was gonna use Washington but decided to go with Vagaro because I saw so many websites that I really enjoyed navigating and looking at it is a pretty seamless process. I think what I don’t like also is that I have to make a profile in order to book but anyways, actually that is a positive thing so I’m adjusting well.

Pros

My favorite thing about Vagaro is the customer support. I love how every time I call they always ask my information they doubled down on my security question. They always check through everything thoroughly with me and make sure I have an understanding they even offered to do things they are able to do on their side if I’m busy and then wait for me to confirm that it has been done!

Cons

The least thing I like about Vagaro is the fact that I cannot do deposits without having the shopping cart purchased so I pay an extra fee just to collect fees to protect my business so that is an unfortunate side of it as well as I do not like that, you cannot customize the amount of a deposit per an appointment that it has to be a set amount per service.

Square fees as well as making a website with them was super difficult. I had to work with multiple outside parties to create a template and then every time I wanted to edit it, I had to go back into those to make small changes and it was really hard to get them to save.

The "Vagaro Pro" app is the powerhouse. It allows you to manage your entire business from a smartphone. While the dashboard is clean, the sheer volume of settings can feel overwhelming at first. However, once you’ve set your working hours and services, the day-to-day calendar management is intuitive, featuring "drag-and-drop" rescheduling.

Cons

A common and significant complaint is that the online booking interface for clients can be temperamental. Users often report the system "acting up" during the final stages of the process—sometimes timing out or failing to process the final confirmation.

### "Best booking platform I’ve used"

Vagaro is very helpful for me and my business, the customer support is top tier. The Facebook page has very useful at times.

Pros

I love how easy Vagaro makes managing my business and the à la cart options that are available to add.

Cons

I wish I could sell classes and have the option to adjust deposits per service not as a whole. Example, my service deposit is 20% across all services, I’d like to be able to change it for different services.

Pros

How many features are offered. The features are helpful to my business. Forms, Email Marketing, online booking, packages. There customer service team is amazing.

Cons

I can’t offer individual deposit requirements for specific services. I can’t send specialized email upon the booking of certain services. It can lag sometimes when trying to change timing on sevices.

It has been good. If I have a question the chat function is great. If the Ai bot can’t answer my question they transfer me over to a human.

Pros

The price, its functionality, and online booking. Before Vagaro, I was using another online platform. It was expensive and lacked all the features I needed.

Cons

It lacks a few features. I am disappointed they took away the ability to download your weekly schedule. I am able to see my schedule but I xan’t see my client’s name. That is a huge disappointment.

### "Took awhile to learn"

I'm not going to lie. I hated Vagaro for the first 6 months I used it (I used another company previously that I liked better). Since I committed to the Vagaro website I felt stuck with it. I have since adjusted to the change and I like it much better, but some of the suggestions I listed above would make life easier for us.

Pros

From a business perspective, I like that Vagaro is linked to my website making it easy for me to add/delete services, make revisions, make price adjustments, etc. It has good reporting. From a personal perspective, I have used Vagaro to book personal appointments with other businesses and from a user point of view, Vagaro works great. I'm glad it is easy for my clients to use, I just wish it was a little more intelligent to make life easier on us business owners who use it.

Cons

Vagaro needs upgrades (from a business perspective). I would love a field placed in the client profiles where I can enter a customized discount for each client. Every time I rebook a customer, I am forced to enter that it is a returning guest and Vagaro should have the intelligence to know that if I am "REBOOKING" a customer - to know that it is a repeat customer. Vagaro could be smarter than it is which would make it less tedious on our end. I would also love a field within the customer profile regarding sales tax. I have clients who are Veteran tax-exempt and it would be nice to toggle sales tax off for them so I don't have to remember to do it each time they buy product.

Great product. Couldn’t imagine using anything else. I like how you have separate pricing options for items you use instead of a large flat fee for stuff you wouldn’t use!

Pros

It is a great system for client management and scheduling as well as appointment management. You can easily keep track of clients and how many appointments they have had as well as memberships and other purchases. Online booking is completed with ease. The pricing for the product is reasonable. Customer support is also very helpful in answering questions and resolving issues.

Cons

Sometimes there are issues when Vagaro’s system goes down and you can’t access needed information but this is very rare.

### "Just ok overall service. Not great. "

It’s pretty good but it could be much better. I was one of the first Vagaro users and everything was included in the price. But now everything is an extra fee that adds up. Fast!! Not worth it.

Pros

The customer service is pretty good. However it is very time consuming. I like to use the chat option but it takes a long time.

Cons

I am very frustrated with the constant glitches with inventory. I wish there was a feature to prohibit clients from creating multiple accounts and allowing accounts without phone numbers or real emails.

My overall experience with Varo has been great! My clients are able to book their appointments at their own convenience without back-and-forth Messaging. It has saved me time and energy which I’m able to put back into my business. I have had some isolated incidents were clients have not been able to open the booking site whenever I copy the link and send it through messenger. And I’ve also had clients unable to book for various reasons, but that rarely happens. I would say that happens one in 25 bookings. The majority of my clients have been satisfied with my Booking system.

Pros

I love how easy Vagaro is to use for me and my clients. Online booking is a breeze and it takes the load of managing my schedule off of my shoulders.

Cons

At times I wish clients could book as a guest and not have to create an account. I feel as if it may deter clients from booking since it is a bit of a longer process compared to other booking systems.

I’ve been using Vagaro for about 10 years now. It’s been great having an online booking system, being able to manage clients from my phone, no matter the updates it’s been so easy to use, great customer support with any questions I’ve had, and it’s a great price for all its features.

Cons

I think the hardest part about Vagaro is not being able to put pictures like gloss genius. And also having to set up an account instead of just being able to quickly make an appointment.

I enjoy the customer service and I wish that Vagaro acted more quickly on adding features. Like memberships for a $ amount instead of making it specific to a service.

Pros

I like that I can add things a La carte as I need them in my business. I like being able to increase/ decrease my text plan as needed. I like the integrated forms per service to decrease liability. I like being able to be discovered by clients of other businesses that also use Vagaro.

Cons

I HATE that clients have to create an account in order to book an appointment. This is such a deterrent for new/ prospective clients.

I remember chatting with development back in 2009 after salon hours to go over updates like being able to customize service pics etc. I have loved growing with the company over the years.

Pros

I love that this software has all the necessary features for marketing emails and messages to clients. I love the drag & drop email builder to make templates for future use

Cons

I think it is overall a solid product. If anything I would grow the platform to help more with the financial side of the business.

overall good but has a few issues as stated above. Customer service can sometimes be awesome and other times they just dont know the answer

Pros

customer management / online booking/ scheduling and appointment management/ personalization of calendar and settings

Cons

need 15 min increments/ great value for one starts to add up as you add employees / use of reports especially with credit card processing. Should fit the page, hate having to move arrow from left to right.

It’s been a hard switch from scheduling with Schedulicity. It’s hard to schedule an appointment with a deal you created. So I am doing more work.customer support is always there. But sometimes they can do nothing for new updates , just gotta stick around to see if it’s better.

Pros

It’s a known brand. Other businesses seem to like it. It looks very professional. It has a P.O.S. System no interested which makes things easier to day an all in one. Not to expensive.

Cons

My appointments don’t show up. They changed my billing with out asking. My clients have a hard time scheduling so I schedule them most of the time. Simple tasks take a long time. Hey share client info across other businesses.

### "Most client friendly software, needs updates for non-hairdressers "

I’ve been with them 5 years and have tested other software in hopes to change but what keeps me is how easy it is for clients to book and use the system. Otherwise I would’ve left long ago.

Pros

I like that it’s client friendly for the most part. Having the option to add photos to describe the services is a plus. Clients also like the waitlist option and how it instantly notifies them of openings.

Cons

The updates they’ve done are useless for most solo business owners. There’s not enough tailoring options for non-hairstylists to use for client appointments times. Sometimes the customer service reps are a bit snarky when you’re asking for help. The price is high and their processing fees are higher than most other booking softwares. What saves them is how easy it is for clients to book.

### "Disappointed and dissatisfied "

Very frustrating. Schedulicity was so much better.I had used Schedulicity for almost 20 years, I believe, and was very happy.

Pros

The option to charge clients if they cancel within a specific time frame. Also booking recurring appointments for an entire year is very easy .

Cons

Almost everything. I was forced to switch from Schedulicity. Everything is way more complicated on my end and the clients end. The amount of clicks needed to checkout an appointment is ridiculous , it takes so much longer, they dont give you a dollar amount up front for the upcoming week, you have to dig deep to get it. I won't get my money deposited until almost noon the next day! And I cant see the amount being deposited once its in process. My clients are connstantly textimg me because something isn't working when trying to book online. It lets people book outside my hours when cleanup time is added to an appointment. There are so many things, these are just a few.

I like a lot of the features. Ease of use with the checkout. The systems support needs work. The people are great with support but it kicks me out of the chat when I go through different pages and I have to restart sometimes

Pros

It’s easy to navigate for checkout but the back end of stuff feels disorganized and confusing. The features like business cost is nice

Cons

The reports and settings and how things are in multiple places is difficult. Like I should be able to view all members on one page to edit the membership and not go into each individual customer
