My overall experience with Vagaro has been extremely positive. It has significantly streamlined my business operations and enhanced the overall efficiency of my salon. The scheduling features have made it a breeze to manage appointments, and the automated reminders have helped reduce no-shows. The point-of-sale system is robust and integrates seamlessly with my payment processors, making transactions smooth and secure. Furthermore, the marketing tools have allowed me to reach a wider audience and promote my services effectively. Vagaro has truly become an indispensable tool for my business.

Pros

Vagaro is an excellent program overall, there are a few minor areas for improvement. One aspect I found slightly lacking is the reporting and analytics section. Although it provides essential data, I would appreciate more in-depth insights and customizable reporting options. Additionally, while the customer support team is responsive, there have been a few instances where I experienced slight delays in getting a resolution to my queries.

So far, I have had a great overall experience with Vagaro. The EMR and scheduling system is very user friendly.

Pros

I like the ease of scheduling especially on the app. This allows me to schedule and manage client appointments when I am "on the go", and when I am out of the office. I also love the alerts that I get when an appointment is scheduled. This is most helpful since my med spa is "by appointment only". I like the mobile EHR. I am able to chart on clients and review their charts whenever needed and while I am not in the office which allows me to prepare for my clients in advance.

Cons

I had a difficult time in the beginning getting acclimated to Vagaro and all of the features but there are informational videos and scheduled webinars that helped me tremendously.

I love how accessible and easy this app is to use. It makes it easy to find new places and schedule my appointments all in one place.

Cons

Some salons and fitness centers are not on the app, but you can submit new places to help grow the application for the future.

I wasted a lot of time while I set up my account just to learn it is not suitable for the business.

Pros

Each client MUST create a Vagaro account to book an appointment. What a lousy approach! I just going to lose most of my potential customers.

Cons

Unfriendly booking process for potential clients. Pushy sales strategy.

They offered free trial and support, but it turns in that "every step should be paid" at the very first steps.

We are hands down, head of heels in love with Vagaro. It made a world of difference in how we run our spa business and added comfort of knowing that the technological part works great. We feel fortunate to work with a progressive, development driven and customer oriented company.

Pros

The software is intuitive and very easy to navigate. The layout and size of the font is easy on the eyes. We love how quickly we can setup new services and classes including the integration with Zoom that allows us to have live streaming sessions. The reports are amazing and provide great analytical support. And to top it all off, the customer services is outstanding. All of our questions and issues are solved quickly and effectively. One last thing, Vagaro is development oriented software, they continuously improve their product and they care about implementing new features which improve user experience.

Cons

The software does not allow to create rooms (as separate from resources ) when doing the scheduling and that poses a bit of difficulty, particularly when a room can be used for couples services and individual services.

I have no cons. I've had a great experience and love when other service providers use this app too.

Pros

I love the ease, organization and simplicity. The app lays out my schedule and automatically sends reminders to my clients so I don't have to manually do so

Cons

It is a little expensive, but it is certainly worth it.

Scheduling a single service or checking out a product is easy. Clients report having an easy time booking themselves online.

Cons

Felt like the customer service rep always tells us to refer to the webinars. Not very helpful. Don't like the complexity of the packaging. Cannot assign commissions to assist with payroll management.

The Package function was designed to group individual service types together so a discount can be given for purchasing more than one at a time. Packages can be made on-the-fly or preset for fast and easy addition to the customer's Checkout. Each Package must be applied to a customer profile. This is done so that when a customer comes in for a service, the Package counter is immediately decreased upon Checkout. I am so happy I switched to Vagaro. My last program had half the features and was twice as expensive. Vagaro is an all in one program that makes everything easy both for me the operator and my clients. Also, when COVID hit and we all closed for 12 weeks, Vagaro proactively lowered (halved) the cost for everyone in good faith, until we could reopen again. This helped us out so much. I felt this was forward thinking, very supportive and generous.

Pros

I love the ease of use; from set up, to online booking functionality, the online marketing is simple and easy to set up, the cost is extremely competitive, there are many extra features plus helpful articles, tips and advice that comes out regularly.

Cons

I just wish that I had switched to it sooner.

Firstly Mindbody doubled my monthly membership with no notice, and no explanation. They also disabled some features I already had and told me I had to pay to keep them! I started to look around and could not believe what Vagaro were offering for less than half the price of Mindbody. I switched to Vagao ASAP. They helped with the transfer of my data and made the whole thing a breeze. I wish I had switched years ago!

Pros

I recently switched back to vagaro, they added some features that I wanted and decided of all the scheduling software I’ve tried, with the updates, this is the best solution out there. Easy to use, almost every option I need or want and pricing is comparable with others.

Cons

The pos tablet is expensive and often freezes, but the software itself is great!

I have used other POS software in the past and have to say Vagaro is the best. It is so easy to use, it offers all the features you need and more, it is a great system.

Cons

The website feature needs to be better. There isn't a ton of options with that, so I use another website service.

I have always had a good experience mostly I have not switch because I do not like change but being that square is free I am thinking about it I think you should do more free giveaways like he did during the Covid time so that people don’t wanna switch to a Free software there’s too much free stuff out there

Convenience for clients and marketing options calendar for work and personal life

Cons

Cons are if your online site is not updated a client can book with all your knowledge because you don’t always get the notifications it should be an SMS notification at least that you have to confirm not an email

I have been using Vagaro for almost 2 years and have had 0 issues and 0 complaints.

Pros

This software was extremely beneficial as I started my own business. Customer support was amazing, the functions and different options Vagaro offers allowed me to tailor my business exactly the way I wanted it to run. I would highly recommend this for any massage therapist looking to go out on their own.

Cons

Honestly, nothing. Everything I have used from Vagaro has been awesome. Sometimes the software updates are a little annoying but nothing to complain about.

I had some major concerns out of the gate but after calling, and speaking with a few representatives, my issues were solved. I am enjoying my experience and happy there is a software that takes care of the basic yoga studio needs at a great price.

Pros

The software offers the functionality that I mainly need to run my business. I like how easy it is for students to sign up and purchase packages.

Cons

It would be best if the student/customer was prompted to buy a package or membership, as they booked a class. Instead, you have to give each class a price (like a drop-in class) and let them buy that single class or hope that they discover the packages/membership page before that. Also, some of the wording during the booking process for customers could be changed or deleted all together. I also feel the dashboard, on the backend, is a bit busy and could use some navigational rework to be more use case friendly.

This software appears to be more suitable for an individual, not a day spa. While the cost is probably the best out there, their system is limiting to a day spa or other multi-staffed entity that wants to operate at a higher level. I really think Vagaro has great potential and they have great ideas & features. For example, I like the fact that you don't have to have an outside company for your email lists and you can also send custom emails & newsletters within their system of templates that are included. I also love their mobile app, very easy & simple, customers love it too! They have customer service available some on weekends & evenings too. There are other customer Service managers who truly knows good customer service. I wish they were all consistently good & customer oriented. I also like that their merchant processing is simple & in-house, and you only get charged one fee, nothing hidden. However, I don't like the non-swiped card fee as I think it's too high. I know they're always working on improving the system and I do believe in a few years it will get much better, hopefully. I think if they were to listen to customers like me, then it will. Again, they have great potential, but I am in the process of leaving them because my business is needing those features & improvements right now.

Pros

Pricing is excellent.

Cons

Does not do much of what I want it to do. It is very very basic and probably over-simplified. For example, if you have spa packages that contain more than 3 treatments, the system won't allow it and you cannot sell your packages online. If you want to sell memberships, it's too basic & limiting in many ways, but one example is that members cannot share or you can't have particular other features. I also highly feel that their colors are very ugly, limiting and odd, meaning they don't even produce the most basic spa type or beautiful colors to use. Flamingo pink and dirty green are not ideal spa colors. I've seen our customers complain and not want to use their online gift certificates so they drove in to get our more beautiful ones at the spa. I have felt sometimes that their customer service is lacking, sometimes unknowledgeable & borderline rude people, including the manager who was very rude & actually lied to me.

Over all Vagaro has saved me so much time with book keeping and scheduling.

Pros

It's very user friendly, easy to do invoices, keep track of appointments, no show, cancelations. My clients love it as its easy for them to use, to confirm or cancel appointments or access the calendar to schedule appointments. I've used 4 other programs and found that this covers all bases of my business.

Cons

Not sure if it was my new phone, but had some problems updating the calendar from my phone and mobile appt and not showing up on the systems. When people use the covid pay option i don't get a receipt to confirm their payment nor was it closing out their invoice so had to do it manually.

Really great for the price.

Pros

I love that I'm able to double book clients finally with no hassles. I have a user friendly app my clients are able to schedule themselves anytime they'd like. Also I love that I can scan my inventory w/ my phone and get them checkout fast! Like the inventory is saved and managed well.

Cons

Customer service isn't always available to help after hours with questions. Wish it had more choices to make more aesthetically pleasing to the eye with the design of the app, softer more feminine look would be nice/more color range maybe? Really wish it kept track of deductions!!!!! I have to pay for quickbooks to keep track of all my deductions for my business. That would be icing on the cake if it had that addition!
