February 24, 2020 5.0 When Booker raised their rates, I had to look for something that had everything Booker had. And I found Vagaro. Not only did it have what Booker had it also has some incentives I found appealing and cost effective. I have not only use of the software for booking appointment I also have a new website for $10 extra. Everything I have is all under $50! You can't beat that price!!! Pros I enjoy the ease of navigating it and the options that come with it. Cons So far I've been satisfied and have found nothing yet. Reason for choosing Vagaro I chose Vagaro for price, great customer support, their extras (if I wanted to add them), and ease of learning it. Pros I like that we can assign different rooms for services/technicians Cons I wish that there was more flexibility with setting up multiple service packages (want to be able to add more than three services to a package), would like to be able to add relationships to profiles so we can know how clients are connected, would like easier access to client profile page when review client history page. I wish those on the waiting list automatically appeared on the regular schedule like it used to instead of having to click on the icon on the top of the page. February 13, 2018 4.0 Time management. With this software I no longer have to manually keep up with reminders and emails. Pros I love that I can customize my software to my needs and send automatic reminders, emails, etc. It very easily compares to Mindbody which is extremely overpriced, has tons of glitches, and used to have poor customer support. We are eager to upgrade to other services like SMS marketing, file storage, and an online purchasing cart. Pros I like being able to utilize Vagaro with an app on my phone. On the app, customer appointments were simple. Additionally, I appreciated that I could view my schedule in advance rather than simply daily or weekly. Cons Refreshing the page to make a link to another site was difficult for me. I occasionally get distracted by the numerous adverts for other businesses. It is easy to set up. I used Vagaro prior to owning my own business as well. Cons I do find that setting up marketing can sometimes take awhile it is usually slow to load any images you want to add. As an independent stylist I do not like that text message market is extra and I still use Square for CC processing because it is more cost effective. Owner/Massage Therapist Alternative Medicine Used the software for: 2+ years ### "A Free Trial that Requires you have the Money for them to hold before you can even begin the trial" January 26, 2017 5.0 I used Vagaro for 2 years and then was out due to Rheumatoid Arthritis. I attempted to sign up for the free trial once I was better, but have found that you must have the amount of the full trial in your account for them to "hold". I was $1.50 short. Uhm that is not a free trial then. If you need to have the money for you to "hold", then I am paying for the service. When I called, because my card kept saying invalid, I was told that they had just recently started doing this. Listen the software is undeniable, but when you are not honest in your advertising and with sign up, you make your whole company look duplicitous and it really makes your customer feel as if they are being scammed. I really like their software, but I will be checking out other programs, simply because I don't like feeling duped and having my time wasted. Pros Cons Too many notifications. Cons The only thing I wish they would change is the fact that you have to setup an entire profile for instructors that only teach classes but don't actually offer services. I think there should just be a spot where I can type in their name & it should show up on the schedule. Classes can be & are taught by multiple people. They don't necessarily need a full calendar with a service menu. I just want to list who the instructor is & that's it. Pros Being able to schedule multiple consecutive appointments (in one day) with one text reminder is a feature no other system can do. Cons Our staff views our calendar constantly throughout the day, so when it turns off frequently to make us log back in again, it's not convenient. Easy to use Pros Easy to use, developers seem to work to give us more features time and time again. The last few updates were just fantastic (ability to click and drag appointments). Cons The advertising boasts a certain success rate, and mine was ZERO. For what they charge, they have literally no visibility to the public to gain new clients. Very disappointing. And when I mentioned this to customer service, they tried to play off that five of my new clients were from their visibility but it was just that they hadn't used my new Vagaro page yet, they were not strangers to me by any means. I started when I worked at a Salon & Spa as an independent contractor & I continued using it when I branched out & opened my own business. Earlier this year I was going to change only because they didn't have a feature that I really needed & then its like they read my mind & came out with the ability to book classes. With that being said, I guess I'm not going anywhere anytime time soon! Pros It was very easy to set up & use. Cons The class scheduling feature is a little complicated for clients to use. Secondly, it would be nice to show what's already blocked out by not allowing a click, instead of just saying "no appointments available go to next", don't allow me to see what's not there.
