Pros

Great customer support especially as we develop our website, email marketing, on-line sales, technicians' profiles, data and booking services. There seems no end to the capability of the support, reach and extent of Vagaro

Cons

Merchant services are expensive and required for the use of on-line product sales. The list of restrictions is too long for the on-line product sales to navigate.

Other than the affordable price, it has cost us in several ways with business and therefore revenue. Plus, with Vagaro we are virtually handicapped when it comes to trying to measure key trackable metrics that EVERY salon depends upon to thrive, let alone, survive. Unfortunately it’s been an experience best described as “Penny wise and dollar foolish”, as the old saying goes.

Pros

The price of the program compared with others.

Cons

The program has lost us revenue and business.

Pros

I am able to schedule my barber appointment in the software and it connects with my compatible calendar. I receive reminders beforehand to ensure I arrive on time. It’s wonderful to arrive for the appointment and not have to wait in the shop. I can receive service almost immediately. Fantastic product!

Cons

There’s nothing that I don’t like about the software to be honest.

So far I am excited to use this. A lot more user friendly that Booker.

Pros

Easy to set up and import client base from iPhone. I really like the layout of the site. Great for small business.

Cons

Pre existing description of services. I would like to edit and put in a personal touch.

This has made my scheduling so much easier, especially since you can book anywhere, it is nice if you run into a client and they want to book right then. I have been using vagaro for over 3 years and they just keep improving and updating making running my business even better! My previous system had to be downloaded and could only be used on one computer, vagaro is way better! I have recommended it to other business and have used it with 3 different salons now!

you can take it everywhere

Cons

the reports are too long to print when it comes to doing book keeping, I liked the reports on Salon Iris that I used 4 years ago, but prefer everything else Vagaro offers over Salon Iris

### "DON'T USE! "

I didn't need to get this account, and when I did I was under the impression that it would only be $25 a month, after my 1st month im paying $45 , I requested a "FREE CARD READER" I didn't realize in the fine prints that it was NOT FREE!. They lock you in for 1 year and then its "FREE" . If you cancel before the year, you are paying $100!!! so if I choose to cancel, I have to pay $100 for a reader that I didn't even use. The rep on the phone then tells me that I can re sell it online to another vagaro user if I wanted but I can not send it back and I can not get a refund. DO NOT PURCHASE A CARD READER .

Pros

The only great thing of this app is that you can open on your desk top and on the phone.

Cons

The wording on how they charge for things is tricky, they charge extra for everything.

I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE CHEAPER BUT IT IS NOT!

Online scheduling is a life saver, I am solo so I do not have time to answer calls all day. Vagaro stepped up Big during Covid pandemic by offering free upgrades and being in constant communication with it's users.

Pros

I am not super tech savvy and I find this program simple and user friendly.

Cons

I wish it was easier to merge duplicate client profiles.

Great Customer Service Reps who are great with communication on the phone as well as email and online help. I am a Massage Therapist and found this app to be the best with keeping up with my client contacts, notes, treatments and Accounting ( Invoicing, receipts, text/email messages)

Pros

This software is user-friendly, has a great layout and comes with videos to help you navigate. I had a question regarding my calendar view and they responded via the help text within 5 minutes and I even received an email notification. I appreciate that! The buttons on this app are identified well and it is easy to maneuver throughout the pages. I use the Calendar daily and love the 24 hour view. This software definitely helped me organize my Massage Therapy business by keeping everything on one place and available at a click of a button.

Cons

No Complaints. I am really working reviewing the videos to better help me navigate. It does take time to learn how everything works.

Pros

As a sole operator in the salon having a booking system makes my life stress free. It auto sends reminders to clients. I am able to utilize my time much better by having an all in one booking system.

Cons

Only negative I have is getting clients to utilize the software rather than calling or texting me!

My overall experience with Vagaro has been very good. I'm very satisfied and I've received a lot of positive feedback from my clients about Vagaro.

Pros

It's very easy to use and it makes scheduling for myself and clients a breeze.

Cons

I wish I was able to send clients reminders of their yearly appointments to come back. I work in the permanent makeup industry and I 'd like to send them reminders when to come back for their touch ups.

Pros

It is extremely easy to use, I love all the features. I love how I can change the color, ease add services or team members, etc....

Cons

I love everything about it. There is nothing not to like about Vagaro. It is a truly amazing software.

I was a user not admin so any changes I made to the schedule could be overridden. I feel like software like these are for the benefit of studio owners and are not out to help subcontractors.

Pros

yes u can customize the colors, and the features are all very visible. I also liked being able to take payment on any device

Cons

Closing clients out on IOU creates massiv problems and headaches when they have packages

Regarding your issue with closing out clients, If they have a prepaid package there shouldn't be a need to use an IOU at the time of checkout, as payment would have already happened. They can just use the prepaid service and walk out after they're done. In regards to your admin rights, Your access to the account is all based around how the business owner decides to set it up, so this may be something you need to talk with them about to get you the access level you need. I have been using Vagaro for years and I love it. Clients love it, its easy to use and keeps me organized! Wouldn't trade it for the world, even just the client reminder texts are worth it. I have referred many of my colleagues and they seem to be enjoying the service as well.

Pros

The client reminders is what really attracted me in the first place but it has many features that can be helpful in running a simple salon business and doing it in an organized manner.

Cons

I wish there were a few different features to help professionals navigate the calendar and such differently. But there are many ways to to do things differently.

It provided conveinience for my clients. they no longer have to wait for their service and the staff works smarter not harder.

Pros

I own a Barbershop and this app provides convenience for the staff as well as the clients . The clients can schedule an appointment directly to the app. It also has payroll along with membership features , gift card features, merch , product inventory features. So basically it's only right that I take advantage of the whole system.

Cons

I wish that I can get support rep on the phone a little faster lol.

During the Covid-19 Pandemic, Vagaro waived all fees during government locksown. This was very helpful. I have never had issues with service. Great support with any questions.
