Our experience with Blackpurl has been great. It’s a robust system that is easy to use and links all of your platforms together so you have one entry point creating efficiencies.

Pros

The customer service is great with the team at Blackpurl! They are quick to respond and always willing to help. If they didn’t know the answer, they knew who did. It is very user friendly and allows a salesperson to check out a customer quickly. It helps create a more detailed set of books and has a great inventory management so you can have good data when doing analysis.

Cons

We were a very basic small mom and pop shop so the set up and change to how we did many things was a bit rough. You don’t get to play with quickbooks data or even see it before go live so it was a total shock to what was happening to my books.

It's been wonderful! The support ladies are always willing to go the extra mile to help. They make it super easy!

Pros

The easy accessibility to get support quickly! Integration with QuickBooks is a huge bonus and the direct feeds to my website

Cons

Would like to have some more quick links to access tasks easier with less steps. For example, when you are receiving a PO, I don't like have to start steps over to receive another invoice. A Receive another invoice for this vender link would be great!

Pros

It is very easy to use and it is intuitive. The new 2.0 adds layers of reporting that helps manage each profit center. The accounting integration is very nice and real time. They update things quickly and often.

Cons

The price to add users is quite a bit of a jump. The search bar locates all inventory numbers without giving an option to weed out part numbers that are not in inventory. Sometimes, I can have 20 items listed because of vendor packaging and still have to search through all for any in stock inventory.

My experience with Blackpurl has been fantastic! The support I have got from the Blackpurl team is amazing. I have had a few questions while using the system and submitted a question and the immediate response with my answer was extremely helpful with no downtime on our end.

Pros

Blackpurl is an excellent DMS tool for any shop that is looking for a professional way to keep records, track inventory, customize ordering from vendors, invoice customers and many other functions.

Cons

I actually have not found anything that I like least with Blackpurl. The support and ease of usability makes this system very simple.

The technical support has been world-class. Having used it for four plus years, our comfort level is over the top. It is now the core of the business.

Pros

BP2 is more user-friendly than BP1. If Record360 and Maximizer are integrated with BP. The end experience will be off the charts.

Cons

Lack of more robust time clocking. Not integrated with Record360, Maximizer, or Google Gmail. The phone number field drives us crazy because it doesn't allow phone numbers to be entered in any format, e.g., 512-310-8514, 512.310.8514, 5123108514, etc. The add custer and add items buttons need to be available in different area to reduce the number of clicks.

It has been a good experience.

Pros

It works 99% of the time and they have good support.

Cons

I wish we could receive a unit from our manufacture and type in the financing company right in Blackpurl so we don't have to go change it in Quickbooks. Also, it would be nice if there weren't so many buttons to click when you are checking someone out.

Pros

Overall Black Purl has been a great experience. It was relatively easy to learn how to use, and the customer support is always excellent. The Black Purl support team really tries to get back to you as quickly as possible, and really tries to get the problem fixed as fast as they can.

Pros

I like how we are able to have all of our unit inventory on one single list. We are able to add relevant information about the units on the report page so it is a quick snap shot for our sales team. (ex- unit price, model, location)

Cons

Adding pictures to a unit can be quite a pain. Each photo has to be under a certain size, and you can't select multiple at once to upload, you have to do it individually, which is time consuming. Also, some of the character limits on the unit details can be difficult to work with. Since we are an agricultural equipment dealer, we have to get creative on what field work for us, and sometimes the info we want to add to a certain area (exp - plate) are not long enough.

Blackpurl has been a big help in our company, managing our part and service works order have become much easier

Pros

The team at BlackPurl made unloading are parts list and setup very easy, There tech support help walk us through any issues we had. This software can be used anywhere you have internet, no need for servers

Cons

not as friendly with mobile devices but has gotten better as updates come out.

So far, I have nothing but positives for Blackpurl. It's easy to learn, easy to use and makes finding information easy.

Pros

I like the fact that you can bounce through different categories in this program and find/ run information relatively easy. Also love that you have the option to put the information on excel.

Cons

I may be being nit picky- but I wish you could sort further when running certain reports. It helps that you can download to excel.
