Overall, great product. I'd highly recommend to anyone who wants to reduce friction in the sales process...which is all of us.

Pros

This product allows you to totally streamline your sales process. No more managing emails, PDF or Word-based contracts, e-Sign requests, invoices, etc. Better Proposals wraps all of that into one seamless process. For the buyer, Better Proposals makes the contracting process feel like signing up for a SaaS product. Super low friction.

Cons

The only cons that come to mind are incredibly minor UI/UX things.

With Better Proposals, I can send clear proposals in less time. I know when the client read it and the time he spent on it. Very valuable to see if we are a good fit to each other.

Pros

The ready-to-use templates by topics, the possibility to store your own template, the possibility to know when the proposals is readen, how many time and the time spent by the client on it. This app helps me to be more efficient.

Cons

What could be improve is a the layout option for the cover template, the fees on Stripe payment and the text layout options.

Pros

What I like most about Better Proposals is how professional and polished the proposals look. Thus far, every single proposal I have sent using the software has resulted in an immediate sale as well as compliments from the client on how nice the proposals look.

Cons

Better Proposals is not the most easy-to-use or intuitive for me personally. I have had to contact customer service several times for help, but the good news is that they are always efficient, friendly and quick to resolve my issue.

Proposals are always great with Better Proposals!

Pros

Here are a few features I like most about Better Proposals: They have a lot of templates to get you started with. No limits on the number of products or services I add in the proposal Videos can be embedded. Chat integration, for example, we can embed Zendesk Chat, on the proposals. and their Analytics. Love how it shows how much time a client have read the proposal page.

Cons

CRM integration requires a higher plan. No merge tags, yep, they currently do not have this. This feature is a HUGE necessity to save time and avoid errors, REALLY MUST IMPLEMENT! No API. I would love to have a slack integration aswell.

Pros

My Proposals/Contracts look very professional. I like that I can track when my clients open/forward my Proposals.

Cons

I struggled a bit with changing images. Just user confidence I guess.

I put off using proposal template software because I never have enough time for new software learning curves. In this instance, I was totally wrong. In the time it took to edit my previous presentations, I could edit the pre-made one by Better Proposals and get something far more professional. Browsing the other templates, I can see that I'll actually be saving a lot of time writing copy. Unlike some lorem ipsum or irrelevant templates around, the ones at Better Proposals are up to date and well written.

Pros

It's really user-friendly, at least as simple as using Word, Pages or Wordpress. The best thing was to find lots of pre-made templates that matched my business offerings. So, not only did I get a sharp design, but I saved days of writing copy since it was around a 70% match to what I'd say anyway.

Cons

No real issues, I found a couple of buttons that didn't work properly. I had to move the cursor a little for the button to activate. (Not sure if that was browser problem though).

Pros

Ease of use - Just log in, load up a template, add in the client details and away you go. When setup correctly the client sees the proposal via your own website - very professional

Cons

I haven't found anything to dislike about this product

Pros

Very designed focused product. The layouts/templates/cover pages are beautiful, some of the best in the industry. The formatting ability is also excellent, very simple and easy to format.

Cons

Weird to say but Better Proposals is too focused on just proposals. Outside of that, the software is very limited vs. what you get with Pandadoc and Docusign. Also not a huge fan of being limited on how many documents I can send in a month.

Do customers care much about nice looking proposals? The jury's out on that one. However, it's an added plus for me. They will be the nicest and most customized proposals your prospective clients have ever seen.

Pros

Being able to track your customers' journey on the proposal is the best feature, hands down. Yes, it's awesome that they look great, but this is the best feature.

Cons

The price for an account can be pretty expensive if you're not sending that many proposals each month.

I used this to submit a proposal that got accepted! I was able to see when my client logged in, how long they looked at each page, and I got email updates throughout the whole process. I was thrilled with it!!

Pros

It's stunning, professional, easy to use, easy to add details and makes an amazing impression on clients.

Cons

No real cons, I did not need to continue using it after the free trial because I don't usually need to send proposals, but if I needed to I would compare the pricing to other similar products...

Pros

It's so slick, modern and easy to use. It makes old fashioned quoting seem like using a quill and ink in comparison!

Cons

I can't think of anything. But I suppose the payment structure at the end is a little fiddly.

Great! However, with CRM tools incorporate a proposal functionality, it might not be the best investment.

Pros

If you want to simply and quickly create propsals that stand out, then you can't go wrong with Better Proposals. You can create a proposal that looks like a website, get notification when your proposal is read and keep a tally in your set currency of the number of proposals that you have sent out.

Cons

It has been a while since it was released and although it works perfectly well, there hasn't been any updates or additional features to this tool.

With the new contracts feature, I see all my contracts and proposals going through Better Proposals for my business.

Pros

The best part about this software is seeing how long each client spends on each page. You get super valuable insight to what is and isn't working about each page, thus being able to improve your templates.

Cons

The least favorite part about the software is the fact that all images have to be the full length of the page.

The online signature and tracking side is great. Everyone I send these to are impressed with the look.

Cons

Probably the template building. It took me awhile to get it just like I wanted. I feel like they could improve the editing tools and the payment integration without going to Zapier.

Pros

The learning curve is not too hard if you're used to cloud-based editing. Powerful features - especially accepting payment right inside of it!

Cons

Be careful that you remain online. I've lost changes to documents when I lost internet connection. The best way to deal with this is to, as you create content, save it as sections in the Library. Edit it there and just drop it in future proposals.

Better Proposals removes the extra time it takes on styling, and gives us more time to focus on how we can bring our clients more value. Definitely our go-to especially when on a time crunch!

Cons

This is a tough question to answer, because we haven't had any issues really. We actually transitioned from a competing software and this really helped solve some issues we were having elsewhere.

Pros

Templates! Writing proposals, especially when you're starting from scratch, is hard. They have a number of proposals for many industries.

Cons

The customization options is a bit limited. Many companies usually already have their own "style" for proposals.

Pros

The trial use of this software closed with a good deal. The client mentioned that the proposal was impressive and I owe this to better proposals. The layouts are simple and direct and so should a proposal. The layout forced me to be direct and not over elaborate and oversell. The product can be custom linked providing a branded presentation. I also appreciate the read analytics and tracking. The best feature is the sign and executes a function that puts the close at their fingertips and ready to be executed.

Cons

The layouts are simple and that is helpful. However, they are also a bit unmovable so for complete customization, this may be difficult. But why not give the template a try. Take it from me- it works.

Pros

The real time editing is what i love most. the ability to change something in the document and have it reflected instantly even from the clients end is great as there is no more delays in changing anything the client wants.

Cons

The application is fine. i have not had any issues with it. the software runs smoothly once you have a stable internet connection
