Pros: 1. I love the fact that I can keep everything in one place. I can dispatch, bill, manage my entire team from one central location, which is very helpful since I am usually traveling.

2. The customer service is (literally) the best I've ever dealt with.

3. The user experience is really nice and friendly for anybody and it keeps getting better with each version of the software.

Cons: A few features I would add...

1. Store Credit Card information so my clients don't have to re-enter it every time they make a purchase

2. Allow selectable time zones for each job for national service providers

3. The mobile app needs the flexibility that the website currently provides.

Overall: Central functionality of multiple services.

Housecall pro has been very responsive and supportive to anything I have needed so far.

Pros: I like the fact that I'm only entering my jobs once and not up to three or four times from when I get the call to when I finish job. Also all my numbers are always on my dash board.

Cons: I guess my only con would be my calendar views and that's only because I'm so used to using Google Calendar but I think they'll change it and make improvements.

Overall: This software will save me a ton of time doing the office stuff I don't like to do.

Pros: This app is great helps us schedule our day and keep us on task lets our customers know when we will be there when the job starts and when we are finished lets customers pay online so if they aren't there the job can still be completed.

Overall: We have been using for 2 years now and we love it

Pros: It puts my whole company and our transactions on the same page. From booking calls to taking payments, it performs smoothly and efficiently.

Cons: It's hard to find something I don't like but if I had to pick one thing I'd have to say the lack of customization of some forms. Not a huge deal because the ones they have work ok.

Overall: Organization and a better workflow.

Pros: All inclusive app for tracking customers, jobs, price lists, invoicing, and more. Easy to use. Text notifications to customers is great! Superb customer service!

Cons: Limited ability to customize (would be nice to add custom fields). Text and email features are limited. Would like to set up custom text and email services.

Comments: If I had a company that only did one day jobs like a maid service, this would be a great program. But, as a handyman company, we often have to return to finish project, it is not efficient.

Pros: It makes keeps track of invoices, customers, and productivity very well. I love that a text can be shot to the customer and let them know we are on our way and when we are done. Invoicing is easy and the credit card processing works smoothly. It integrates with Quickbooks very well. I love the automatic send out of a Thank You post card to my closed invoices.

Cons: This program does not work well if your company has multiple workers through out the day, at a multiple day jobs, for one customer. The only way to get around this is to use the segment feature, which is clunky and not available from the app. Each segment generates it's own invoice automatically. Which created complications for us. Very frustrating. Also, I do not like that customers have to join Housecall pro to receive texts and when they do they see and can access my competitors who also use Housecall pro.

Pros: all the details that autopopulate when I type in a customers name and address. My technician being able to take photos and attach them directly to the customers profile. The en route feature.

Cons: I added to an invoice and accidentally right clicked my cursor outside the field and it erased everything...Three times..

Overall: I have much more time now to lay around eating bon bons and having exotic oils rubbed on my skin by some swarthy south american cabana bay.

Keeps my business running perfectly!

Pros: The ease of day today operation is now in my phone! I receive alerts of up coming jobs. I can even see the actual home we are going too. I can take payments on my phone and email Invoices right then! My whole business in the palm of my hand!!

Pros: I like that everything is live and the customer, tech and front of the house all know what's going on at the same time. The customers love the communication and multiple ways to pay too.

Cons: I wish the GPS tracking of techs was a little less reliant on them checking in on a job. They are after all, driving our trucks and equipment around.

Overall: my business runs smoother with less time wasted on data entry and writing - so it saves me money

Pros: From the get go, the customer service at Housecall Pro has been a dream!! The sales team did an excellent job of customizing the live preview to our business' needs and helped us to really see the functionality of Housecall Pro with our business.

Cons: I don't love that you can't directly call Housecall, the chat feature is nice online, but it can take a long time to get a response.

It's basically all the tools/apps I used for scheduling and managing customers in on place &more!

Pros: I like that it seems to keep me more organized and cut out a few steps, and is more interactive than what I used prior. Great customer service from everyone I have spoken with.

Cons: I wish the mapping feature was available on the app like it is on the website and there have been glitches with the Zillow map feature when I'm out running bids.. could be my cell service but it happens on WiFi also. I wish it made my workers confirm jobs dispatched to them and made customers confirm the appointments once I've sent them. But besides House Call not having features that I have imagined it's wonderful!

Overall: The organization puts all my tools in one place and connects to QuickBooks. Connects me to my customers and employees with the customers needing to download the app. It's user-friendly and just makes my life easier!

Pros: Very simple and easy to use! Great for single and or multiple employee use! Great bang for your buck to help get you started if you are first time business owner!

Cons: Not as elaborate as I, personally, would need it to be. Lacks Purchase Order system. If this were to be implemented, it would almost be perfect!!

Overall: It's free! If you wish to upgrade to add more users, it is definitely a great investment!

Pros: Housecall has helped streamline our process in communicating services needed, and issues to be addressed. Our staff, even those less tech savvy, have found the system to be easy to use.

Cons: We use the desktop version more often in the office, and it doesn't seem as easy to navigate as the mobile version.

Pros: It's like having a whole back office team in our office. They have designed the system with service providers and customers in mind, and are constantly evolving listening to feedback from pro's like us. Brilliant concept and amazingly simple to utilize. Engineers always ready to help, which I REALLY appreciate. When you use HC Pro, you're business WILL compete in the changing marketplace.

Overall: Drastic improved visibility and impression to my clients. Tremendous time savings to administer my company business.

Pros: I like that this software has taken the customer into consideration as well as the contractor. They've simplified the process of communication with the customer as well as the scheduling and booking. Not only that but they've integrated the remarketing directly into the software with a few clicks and keyboard strokes.

Cons: I would say one con is that the app is fairly complicated which forces use of the web version. Also, I'd like to see the use of true admin vs office staff vs technician log in capability. That way my office staff will no longer accidentally book themselves to jobs lol.

Pros: Job tracking is streamlined and invoices fill into QuickBooks after finishing. Payments are tacked from the app and applied to QuickBooks as well. Customer history is always available

Cons: Cannot track when jobs need to be followed up on. Has to be rescheduled and start over or create job segments which make a mess in QuickBooks

Pros: Combines what I was using multiple other software to accomplish all in one platform. CRM, invoicing, billing, scheduling, time tracking, online scheduling, employee and customer notifications. It's a nice complete package that helps a small business run smoothly.

Cons: Features are slightly different from the app to the website version and can't be accessed without an internet connection. So make sure you enable Google Calendar integration so that you can still have job information even when cell coverage is bad.

Overall: Consolidated multiple different software and procedures into one. Really helps with tracking, communication and connection with our customers.

Pros: This software puts helps automate the tasks and responsibilities that my workers have to update me when the job is done, update my customer when they are on the way, starting work, finishing the work. The text notifications to my customers are a huge help and keep everyone in the loop. The newest update that allows me to customize these messages has been very helpful in eliminating unwanted additional communications and clarifications to my customers/clients.

Cons: There are still a few little things here and there that I wished worked differently or better. I'm unable to prevent jobs from being moved from a specified time. My workers may grab a job early that needed to be done at a very specific time and that has caused us some conflict already. There are a few little things here and there which I wish were different but it's nothing that isn't manageable.

Integration with Wave would be preferred over QBO. Quickbooks is an atrocious system, and while it is the industry standard for small businesses, I think it's the worst accounting solution ever created.

Overall: Service based businesses doing as few as 1 job per day or more, per team. Multi-day projects is where this software doesn't work the greatest, but it's something I am told they are looking at enhancing in future updates.

Cons: That it's not actually software that I can download sometimes u get into a predicament with nno WiFi and still need to be working in housecall but u can't it's all web based

Pros: The support team is so responsive and quick to get whatever I need help with handled. I also love the features it offers for the price.

Cons: I dislike that the program that I felt was most financially rational for me to use does not track my mileage. I wish that it did, but it does not. I also dislike how frequently I have to delete the app on my phone and re-install in order for it to not say "network error. aRe you sure your network is connected?" and EVERY other app on my phone is working perfectly.

Fantastic software! Has majorly decreased my busy work.

Pros: I enjoy the Google Maps integration, the automated email and SMS function, the ability to book online, and keep my receivables organized immensely! HouseCall Pro has saved me a lot of time, and works great as far as a contact management suite. There are a few things I'd love to see become available with Housecall Pro (things that would make HouseCall Pro a real hit within the pest management industry), but my experience with this software so far has been good.

Cons: If I could change anything, I would add a few features that are specific to my industry (pest control). Such as: Automatic future appointment scheduling (i.e. weekly, semi monthly, monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual re-occurring maintenance accounts). The ability to track chemical usage by units of measure (oz, grams, lbs, gallons, etc.) for monthly reporting to the county. Automatic payment due reminders. And last but not least, some sort of route optimization tool to ensure less windshield time, and more time spent servicing accounts.

There are a couple of other software suites that be better suited for my selected industry, but I have yet to find any that can integrate online booking as an option through our website, and search engine, and online directory listings.

Overall: Time savings, fuel savings, and a more technologically professional appearance.

Pros: What can we say..We've use a lot of different programs for our business and by far this has been the BEST. Ease of use, customer support, everything is great!

Overall: Customer gets notification when job is scheduled, when tech is on way and gets invoiced after job complete. Customer can pay invoice on site.

Never have to be tied to being behind the desk again!

Cons: That it does not allow a different blurbs on the Estimate form and the receipt/invoice form. Which is completely stupid, those are two entirely different interactions with the client.

Pros: I love the way you can invoice, schedule, accept payment, communicate with clients and employees all from 1 place. The option to shoot a customer a quick text to tell them you are on your way at the touch of a button is a great feature.

Cons: I would like to be able to import my customer history (pricing etc.). It would also be nice if there was a way to group tag a bunch of clients, instead of having to open up each client and tag them all individually. Being able to highlight them, or click boxes next to the ones you want, and then apply the same tag to a large group at once would be a big time saver. It would also be great if it would integrate with Send Jim software.

Overall: I am a new user, but I think it will streamline my business systems and help me manage multiple teams at once. I think it will also improve my invoicing system.

Pros: The ease of creating estimates and how professional they look. After estimating a job I can have a very professional looking proposal to a customer in literally minutes. I have been told I was awarded the job due to my professional and quick proposal the customer received. Invoicing is the same. I also like how easy it is to notify customers you are on the way, job has started, and job has ended. Keeps customer informed without having to spend too much time on the phone. Customer service and support have been excellent. I ask a lot of questions and require a lot of detail, and they have been more than happy to to keep me more than happy.

Cons: I wish HCP had more CRM qualities. It does have a few but nothing like a Salesforce or other CRM software.

Pros: easy to use, online chat is very helpful when needed, ability to text customer from the website for services,

Cons: always having to go back to dashboard for eyeball icon for invoice numbers. would be nicer to have that accessible through customer tab as well.

Overall: able to find customers contact information quickly, and able to input needed data quickly and able to get info out to techs quickly.

Cons: I feel like a training video would be helpful because there are some features that I don't use because I haven't had time to teach myself how to use them

Pros: Easy to use, mobile friendly, full CRM for my business including scheduling, invoicing, estimates, payment processing, etc.

Cons: There are no custom fields with the software. Also, I wish I was able to store a customers credit card on file. However, I am being told that these features are coming soon.

Overall: I am able to spend more time running my business, close jobs, and take care of my clients rather than doing paperwork all day long!

Pros: I do like the fact that the information populates to the right forms, and I like the ease of texting the customer when I am on my way.

Cons: I don't like the fact that I have to integrate my calendar with gmail, and I can't leave my default setting to my profile without having to select it every time I log in.

Overall: Less paperwork because most of the customer interaction can be done online.

Pros: easy to set up and use great customer service and priced well for a one person operation. I also like the postcard marketing

Pros: I love how user friendly this program is and how easy it is to access all my information of customers

Cons: I do not like how they were trying to keep charging us more each month and when I called to ask why they said I had changed my plan which I did not!! They fixed it but if I had not been paying attention they would get away with grossly overcharging me

Pros: Saves time for what are used to have to do by hand. Automatically alerts the customer and even let the customer feel in them all their information so I don't miss type the email address

Cons: They don't allocate any resources that fixed tiny little tweaks that should not have to wait for the major upgrades.

Pros: It's working so quickly we can generate the the estimate for our clients quickly! I'm amazed how quickly I can write an estimate for our customers!

Cons: I like this app it's for our company really useful!

Pros: The OMW, start and finished feature. Our clients always wanted us to text when headed their way, now it is much simpler!

Cons: The timekeeping portion, not real good for true payroll in my opinion. The cost as well, it is pretty steep for not having all the features I need and want.

Pros: Client notifications make my business look super professional, I get compliments from clients all the time

Cons: Limited to data signal when in the field, no offline version. When I don't have a Cell signal I can't even access my schedule, which is inconvenient.

Overall: It has made me more organized and kept me from having to hire an office assistant, which saves me money and hassle. It supersedes any software by a longshot!

Pros: How convenient it is to use from the initial process to the end of the invoice. Customer love how easy it is to approve a job free of any paper and convinient as they can do everything from anphone.

Cons: No reception no service, if you lack of phone service or internet. There is nothing you can do. The problem is that, it is the same with everyone.

Overall: 100% paper fee and convenience for all my staff and customers.

Pros: I like the feature of adding a parts list to our mobile app, estimates and invoices look clean and professional.

Cons: Cannot edit customer information on app in field. Does not keep track of time on app, only desktop. Desktop version is confusing, does not keep recent jobs at top of the list unless the page is refreshed each time. Does not close out jobs once they are invoiced. I wish the mobile app was more friendly for in field editing, for example if a technician gets to a job and a customer ask if they can go service another location it would be nice if the technician could add the new address without having to call the administrator to add the new address

Pros: Ease of use and cost. I went from using a very cumbersome software that I avoided to Housecall Pro that I truly enjoy using. It makes it easy to get things done.

Cons: There isn't a true production schedule module. I think as the app develops they will develop more tools within the app that are geared towards the general contractor and not just service based.

Overall: I am less stressed and getting my tasks done more efficiently.

Very promising software but a little costly for a start up company.

Comments: The features are all nice to have in one platform.

Pros: It has the potential to support a start up company with some cool features such as the map, time keeping for employees and job site.

Cons: For a start up company the cost may be a little to much for the type of service you're getting. Especially since you could get the same service from other sites for free.

Pros: Ease of use and the price. Everything is nicely laid out on the desktop and the whole process is user friendly. Really saves our dispatchers a lot of time because everything can be done within the appointment, no clicking around to different pages with long pauses between saves / edits.

Cons: The ability to assign an appointment to different tech's without sending the appt ' to the tech 'till we want to dispatch. We do call by call basis with our service tech's. It would be most helpful to assign appointments so you can see who is available and when - At a glance.

Simplest app, could not run my service business without it!

Pros: The Housecall app saves me dozens of hours and gives my company a very professional look. I get nothing but positive feedback from my customers, they love the paperless technology and ease of use

Cons: Customers home value is much too prominent on front page, especially when viewing on iPad. Good info to have, but I don't like having customers think I'm sizing up their home during the estimate.

Pros: Customer service is great and very helpful. My employees like knowing what work they have each week and it is nice to be able to track the time they spend on each job. I have pratcilally gone paperless and the transition was easy. Definitely worth the price!

Cons: The mobile version is easier to use then the desktop version. Can be a little confusing adding a new customer and job.

Pros: The learning curve is quick and intuitive I don't have time to learn a system. It makes my service call easier and and smoother which makes a better experience for the customer. The communication with the customer has been the best feedback I get. The confirmation text and "On my way" texts make the customer informed and confident we will arrive and care about their time. The payment processing is great I like it all under one platform. I use the postcard feature it automatic I don't have to think about it and it save me time.

Cons: HCP can be slow at times a off line version is needed when data speeds are limited or non existent.

Overall: Time savings for the tech and owners .I like the professional image it provides to the customer it allows me to provide service to my clients.

Best and easiest software to use it just works. Customer service is second to none.

Pros: We are saving about 10 hours every week. On our old program we were printing out paper invoices, paper billing, inputting invoice services for the technicians after they return to the office, the techs would have to call the office to charge credit cards, it was sooo time consuming. Housecall has eliminated paper filing, invoices, the technicians input their own information and charge their own credit cards. We can focus on marketing and the customers now.

Pros: Everything is organized and easy to find. HCP has simplified the process for booking jobs and reviewing customer details. My customers love the email reminders and I feel that it gives us an edge over the competition. I love that I can sort jobs by technician, date, etc. making my month-end reporting is so much faster. I also utilize the "tags" feature and love it. This software has been a game-changer for running my business.

Cons: We have had some issues with getting the pricing sheet organized properly for our business. It isn't working perfectly for us but the staff at HCP working to fix our issues.

Pros: How it helps you track open invoices and the sending of the appointment confirmations as well as the reminders for your customers before hand and the en route message too.

Cons: Would like a feature where it would save the clients payment information especially for those recurring jobs so that we could collect payment without having to bother the client again for their information. Some clients have asked if their payment by card can be saved as a convenience matter. Hopefully soon.

Overall: Helped to be a lot more organized and collect payment faster as well. The reminders for our clients is a big help as well.

Pros: The ease of adding a customers info & setting up their appointments. I also like the way we can leave notes about the job, so the whole team is kept in the loop.

Cons: It should work with Apple CarPlay so I can see it on my car screen instead of just on my phone. I don't like the way the screen scrolls forward occasionally while I'm trying to review my schedule.

Overall: It gets the team scheduled and has info on the spot that we can use to speed our appointments on their way.

Pros: Easy to Dispatch jobs or change jobs in middle of day to accommodate customers needs and move men were they are needed when emergencies occur. Pricing is reasonable.

Cons: Price list is not easy to use or change or update in the field. We would like have our electrician or office staff be able to easily add or change materials in the price list and update prices in the field.

Pros: Not as open and easy to change some things as I would like but the customer service is amazing. I really like the availability to pay through the app but haven't set it up yet with the bank which I am going to do today.

Cons: Still having difficulty adding employees and industries I am hoping to figure this out real soon so I can have other employees do these invoices.

Pros: Ability to track jobs scheduling and keep all the information in one place is great! Address link to google ! Store notes!

Cons: its not functional for a general contractor who does estimates all the time.
there is no option to save a message for a quote or an invoice. (cant have same message for quote and invoice DUH)..there are other issues which I have forwarded.

Overall: better tacking and scheduling

We looked at most of the programs on the market. Housecall Pro is simply the best.

Pros: Housecall Pro is equivalent to hiring several office staff. We can't imagine how we ran our business without it. Considering the cost, it would be dumb not to have it. We tried most of the other applications and nothing came close. These guys really understand the needs of our business. Our customers love it too.

Cons: Can't think of any real cons! It would be nice to have the ability to upload photo's into the services and materials database. This would give our techs and sales staff an easy way to show our customers the items they are considering purchasing by eliminating the need to jump out of the application and search for the correct photo elsewhere on our tablets or smart phones. It would also help eliminate confusion and subsequent billing errors while preparing final invoices. A picture's worth a thousand words!

Pros: The software is very user friendly once you get the hang of it. It keeps all the customers organized and it's very efficient. It saves the history for each job and all the pictures. I am able to print off my invoices using the envelopes linked to the size which makes it very simple. I love that it links to Quick Books. Customers love it. They like how they know when the technician is on their way, starting and finished, and they can track them. The app makes it simple to pay online with a credit card. Overall, I'm definitely very pleased with the software and app for our business.

Cons: Working out some kinks with how it links to Quick books.
It's takes more time to schedule then using the iCloud calendar, but is definitely more efficient, so that's still a pro.

Pros: The ease of scheduling, dispatching, collecting payments (knowing who has and hasn't paid), reports, communication with customers, one click mapping

Cons: It doesn't put the correct tax collected into the correct category. In Texas we have multiple components and with housecall you only have one. So, it doesn't sort the tax correctly.

Nothing compares. We do not need to type 100 min characters to explain the experience HCP IS awesome

Cons: No card swipe, even with the scan it take time to type. Other than that HCP is a great software program.. the ease of use is refreshing. (P.S. if you use any of my review for promotions We would like 20%) no kidding!

Pros: Everything was simplified. From adding new account to exporting of existing clients. We love how you can communicate with the client to closing the sale an accepting payments. Also the ability to e-mail clients.

Cons: Not being able to add the ap to our social media channels. I have another online business and the use of Social Media is how I drive traffic to our landing pages BUT without the additional charge.

Pros: Housecall Pro application is so easy to use. You can easily schedule jobs, look up customers, and review job history. This is all included and much more at an affordable price!

Cons: I think a monthly payment plan (at-least for startups) and maybe a trial period would boost awareness and be helpful for small businesses. The functionality of the application is spot on.

Overall: Housecall Pro really helps my business stay organized. Prior to Housecall Pro I used a mixture of paper invoices and spreadsheets to stay organized with my schedule, jobs, and customers. Housecall Pro allows to do everything in one application. The other big advantage is the affordable price. As a small business that has only been in operation a little over a year you learn quickly that it takes time to get your business running in a way where you and the business are both surviving. It is always nice to work with companies that understand small business.

Pros: It's a no brainier, very easy and nice to work with, and forgiving, if I do something wronge, and its pretty good to work on cellphones, too especially for old man, that can't see good. The phone app is lovely.

Cons: Can't receive check payments for direct deposit, of course a 2 day waiting period is a drag, and at least a app to figure out payroll amounts.

HouseCall Pro is just what i have been looking for. It really keeps me on point.

Pros: I really like HouseCall Pro. what a great app. I refer the app to all of my business connections. There is so much I can do before I get to the client. It was well thought out during the designing stage.

Cons: So far there is nothing I can say that I don't like about the app. It has everything I need to run a successful business, and stay on top of my paperwork.

Pros: The best thing about this product is how easy it is to use. We use it for all of our scheduling and to keep tabs on when we last visited a job. It also has an added bonus of having an app for all of the employees to use. This is great because it shows when a job was started, how long they were there, and when they left.

Cons: I think the online customer service could be better.

Pros: That my clients have access to it and keeps updating with awesome features for both the provider and the client.

Cons: Price wise is crazy specially for a starter the has to pay out of pocket. Other than that I love it.

Pros: Easy automation for customer notifications for scheduleing and completion. My customers love it. I do too

Cons: Not any review links for customers to rate and review us. I send out an email with a ratings and review link. They rarely click it. I need a txt follow up for them too rate and review me.
