Pros: The interface is fabulous which makes it easy to figure out without extensive training. Great for a growing company on the employee side. Easy clock-in & clock-out.

Cons: Needs basic features such as estimate forms for sites for websites that do not want to take online booking. Ability to send automated reminders.

Overall: Organization.

Love the ease of this product and customer service is great!

Pros: I love the ease of entering in new jobs and customers! Customer service is awesome, they have links to forums answers, and they are quick to answer or point you in the right direction! This software is great too because, it allows us to consolidate a lot of our work into one quick click of a button!

Cons: There are some things that we wish we would be able to customize individually. Text messages are customizable but not for specific jobs, which would be helpful for companies like ours that have multiple different types of work that we do!

Pros: Easy to get used to. Easy to customize to stay almost exactly how my old calendar was. Can't wait to see it go live.

Cons: The calendar brings you back to the current day when you make changes past the current week.
Example if I schedule an appointment for 2 weeks out when I click out the calendar automatically brings m back to the current week. If I need to continue working on that new appointment for some reason I now need to remember where I scheduled it and then click through to get back to what I was just working on.

Overall: everything all in one -- calendar-invoicing- estimate -payment tracker

HouseCall pro is great! The app is easy to use and my customers love it.

Pros: I like the email follow up that my customers receive as well as the reminders they get before the job, letting know I'm on my way. The support team is awsome as well. Whenever I need help or have a question, they answer within minutes.

Cons: I can't find anything negative to say about HouseCall Pro. I have used a couple different similar applications and found HouseCall Peo had all the right features and the others support was poor to be nice.

Pros: easy to use, price, treated like a partner not just a number. Love the insta pay and online booking option.

Cons: App is lil hard to navigate feels outdated. Other then that theres not any other negative i can say about it

Pros: Ok so my partner and I started a new business together and I was using Joist which, for free, is a sweet app but I quickly realized that a serious business needed a serious software to help with logistics. Demo ensued and... Long story short our sales person was really cool and answered all of my difficult questions with ease. And trust me I am an office gorilla. And if you are trying to bamboozle me, well, I have those maternal instincts that can smell bamboozling a mile away. the program was easy to use and easy to learn. It has a real-time app that my tech in the field uses, it is partnered with zillow so the service address shows up with all the juicy details, bed/bathroom, sq ft, price it sold for . my tech uses the map function so he doesn't have to call me for directions. you can search specific date ranges and tag customers with specific tags for ROI data. It keeps a graph display dashboard of all the business vitals. Unlike other programs this one lets you pick the level you want to pay and for more you can get extra services. the lowest level still gives you plenty to run a successful business. I LOVE house call Sparky, the virtual text concierge, that reminds clients when their appointment is, confirms appt, tells them when the tech is en route and when a job is finished. There is a pay online feature, a "bill to separate address" feature, and the customer service is the BEST I've ever dealt with. they even take suggestions.

Cons: when you use the payment box to run a credit card it pops up in the center of the screen and you cant move it to see what the billing zip is on the screen below it.
I don't know if it's me but sometimes it takes a few seconds longer than I like to load between screens. There might be a toggle feature I am missing.
I work hard and I expect my technology to do the same.
I would like to see a little more flexibility in the price list feature. It should operate faster with the line item selection. If I pick something I know is in our saved price list it takes a minute for it to populate the selection box.
When you are inputting the prices of line items by hand the cursor goes to weird places in the price. drives me bonkers

Overall: it makes my job way easier AND we were able to have a paperless office.

Pros: Easy to use, and keeps track of monies coming into the business. Easy to keep unit labels on each customers profile and phone number and address

Cons: Small quirks like all apps, but they are working on correcting them. Had a problem uploading photo's, and accessing customer information like adding a address after invoice has been made

Overall: Keeps track of customers and jobs done. Great photo taking app to attach to each job.

Pros: I love that so much can be done from a phone. I no longer have to be at my desktop to view/create invoices. I also like that I can see when a customer has opened emails from me.

Cons: There isn't much customization with the invoices. I would like to be able to make more adjustments. It's very basic but it gets the job done.

Overall: Time saver! I don't have to run back to the office to do everything.

There is no delay in response when you need help. You need them - they are there!

Pros: It's very easy to use this app! I enjoy the layout very much, it's very convenient. I enjoy the dashboard and the day layout!

Cons: Sometimes the app takes forever to load! I used to think it was my data until I realized I could use all other online apps such as Chrome, Facebook, ect.

Pros: I like that it allows customers To know when someone is on their way or started a service repair even if they are not home. Most of my customers allow access for us to enter a condo/apartment.

Cons: Not sure yet! I only have been using some of the features. We will soon be using more.
Once we have used more features we will decide what's least liked.

Pros: House call has great tech support, and they push for new ideas. Ive been using house call for a couple of years and it works like a charm.

Cons: I have an android and ive seen the app on iPhones and it looks a little better on iphone than samsung.

Pros: Reasonable price, Helpful customer service, Easy to navigate, Great dashboard features, Easy to communicate with customers and tech's to provide better touch points.

Cons: Some of its functionality needs to be tweaked, but I know the team is working to fix these issues. Most particularly issues with the calendar, options for entering information, filing client details, and sending out estimates and invoices could be fixed.

Overall: We are finally in a position where we can see all of our clients and their information and do time tracking of our techs easily in one place!

Pros: We are a small HVAC Company that is growing on a steady pace we have experienced that with this software we can grow with less complications This software it's user friendly we had purchased a software prior to this one that was more expensive and very complicated to use. We chose this one because we found out that we are able to navegate easily and almost figure it out on our own without asking for help and when we do ask for help the Housecall Pro team are very prompt, friendly & Knowledgable sometimes they even make me smile sending stickers that are funny and when they tell us what the problem is, it's always something minor and easy, sometimes is something that I forgot to do

Cons: I like the software on the computer more than the Mobile app I wish that the Mobile app had some features that the software on the computer has .

Overall: With the help of this software we and our customers benefit, on our end we are expanding our business our customers are happy to have a system like this to communicate, we are more appealling for potential & new customers they feel that they are dealing with a company that conducts itself very profesionally and we feel more in control of our schedule and how we plan our day to day Bussiness.

Pros: Customer Service is exceptional. I own one of the biggest Window Cleaning companies in San Diego and the features are near perfect for my business.

Cons: A few missing features. However they are really good at adding features, and they keep you updated when they add more. Hopefully they'll keep that progress steady

Overall: I'm able to keep exact records of The customers that have paid and which ones havn't. This keeps our revenue stream strong.

Pros: Easy to use for both techs in the field and CSRs in the office. And the customer support team is super helpful!

Cons: We like to make notes under customers, for example a phone conversation. We like to date/time stamp everything, so we just have to do that manually.

Overall: Ease of use for scheduling, syncing with Quickbooks and Google Calendar, ability to customize everything sent to our customers, customers can respond directly to the invoice/estimate.

Great Software. The best part is the support team that goes out of their way to help.

Pros: The combination of scheduling, estimate features, application for field technicians, and QBO integration.

Cons: The scheduling/calendar functionality. It's tough to gauge tech availability (especially if you have more than 5) without extensive review of each tech's schedule, especially when you have multi-day jobs. Other software gives you a summary (including assigned tech) of that estimate/job by hovering over it.

Cons: I wish the maint plan tracking was more detailed, plus price point for maint cust vs regular customer to see savings. Cannot save cards on file for reoccurring monthly payments.

Cons: I would like to speak to a live representative at times when needed vs just chatting. I don't like that we can only use chrome to see the schedule on our desk top.

Pros: Organization. It takes all of the worry out of keeping up with all of my customers. From scheduling to invoicing it's seamless.

Cons: So far, from my experience there are no cons. The only thing I could think of would be that it integrates with QuickBooks On Line only, not desktop. However, they give excellent instruction on how to move data.

Pros: It has consolidated my calendar, customer data base, accounting and marketing into one program. My customers LOVE this (all except one that I'm aware of) with the notification of appointments and when I'm headed to the job. The invoices look extremely professional and I can take credit cards all with the same program!

Cons: The calendar on the computer version of HCP on my Mac can be a pain to work with sometimes and I end up grabbing my iPhone to make appointments and create events. It would also be nice to have notifications for events that are on the calendar as well. PLEASE make the calendar easier to use!

Pros: I enjoy the scheduling part, sends a text to my customers with the scheduled time and who's coming out. Also credit card payment is easy

Pros: We are able to put the schedule on our website, being able to watch what the field technicians are doing and the time it takes them to do a job. Also, the technicians are able to let the customer know that they are on there way.

Cons: I have quite figured out on how to get our customers to review us. I would love for them to make a user-friendly link like they have with the scheduling button that we have on our website, that way our customers can have that button next to our schedule button.

Pros: This was a great resource for us being able to use a work flow software that was accessible from our phones because we're always on the go.

Cons: Really no complaints the mobile access was a game changer and we all really definitely enjoy using it!

Pros: The software is extremely user friendly and responsive. It supported on Multi-Platform. Their business is growing with ours! Updates and features are constantly being added to cater to all service industries. Input from the users dives their progression and it's very hand on via 'blue bubble' or the FaceBook community designated for HouseCall Prod users.

Cons: You can't be too mad about anything because they're willing to work on it if the community collectively wants it!

Pros: easy scheduling and communication with customers. I also love auto invoice. Housecall pro helped me become more professional . Making my customers trust my services even more

Cons: I don't like that it takes 2 days to get paid. I would like to be able to add tasks to each job. Also when techs press start and finish business owner should receive notification of job finished and include location.

There isn't anything that I have to say that I don't like. I knew signing up that they were a growing company and everything wasn't going to be perfect. However, just in a little over a year they have added so many new helpful features and continue to make it better.

Pros: The scheduling and invoicing is set up nicely and is very easy to us. I like the calendar integrations as well as the quick books.

Cons: It doesn't have a feature for maintenance agreements. I would like it where I can add a customer to a maintenance agreement program and auto bill them monthly and have a reminder set for them when it's close to the time for their maintenance.

Pros: Only been using HouseCall Pro for 1-1/2 weeks. It is very user friendly, easy to figure out on my own. I love the webinar training.

Cons: Since I have been using it only 1-1/2 weeks, there are things that come up on a daily basis that needs to be addressed.

Overall: Still on a learning curve.

Use it to schedule jobs and dispatch guys for my handyman/home repair business

Pros: That everything is all together in one single program, scheduling, customer database, notes, pix, estimates, invoices, etc.

Cons: That I pay amount/month to use the program, then an additional 2.9% for card transaction AND have to wait TWO DAYS to see my money hit the bank. There is no monthly fee to use Square and I see my money the next day! This is getting close to being a deal breaker for me.

Pros: The customer service is terrific! Also i like the simplicity that this offers. It's just very easy to get the feel for the software.

Cons: The mobile app and the desktop version are so different. It actually did take me some a little time to learn how to properly use the app.

Best I've found for service industry. They are always improving. Helps me tMe the beast.

Pros: Features are rich. Support is always a call away and very responsive. They take feedback and seem to implement changes. Hard to find in a software management app.

Cons: Does not have a live search.
Search engine in app could be improved. Sometimes servers seem to be slow, although it may be my cell service.

The software is very functionable. It has everything you need to run a service company.

Pros: You can do the invoicing right from the program, see all of the history of the customer. The functionality is very easy.

Cons: That it sends notifications to the homeowner every time you change something. You have to make sure you uncheck the notifications box.

Overall: My time management is being utlitized.

I was hesitant at first but by week 2 of the 30 day trial, I was hooked.

Pros: The software is a one stop shop that I can access from my mobile device while I'm moving around town. Now that I have my price list built, I can quickly update jobs & estimates without having to go back to the office. It's a definite time saver.

Cons: Although I created my own format, I wish there were pre-made fillable forms. As an HVAC contractor having a standardized fill-in-the-blank type form would be a professional asset. (ie. maintenance, inspection, installation checklist)

Pros: The communication to customers via email and text is amazing! I love that you can convert an invoice back to an estimate, that you have the ability to created "options" for estimates and the easy approval/decline process that it offers for customers. Overall I am pretty satisfied with all of the features that it offers and am looking forward to the changes yet to come.

Cons: The inability to create additional contacts for each customer and the ability to link a specific customer to a specific job. I also don't like that there is no separate area where private notes can be added to one area (not necessarily to specific jobs) which allows the system to automatically stamp the note with the date/time.
Now, I am not certain since I do not have the higher priced software that offers the GPS tracking, but it would be extremely helpful with the timeclock feature to have the timeclock track times throughout the day, logging from the time the tech clocked in to the time they marked themselves en-route, on-site, and finished throughout the entire day. This would be of great value when matching tech timesheets against HCP or even to integrate it completely as a timesheet that the tech would be paid from (this is helpful in getting techs to correctly mark jobs since they know that's how they will be paid).
One thing about the existing software that I dislike is that if an estimate/invoice is sent and gets returned due to an invalid email address, for it to send an automatic email notification to the administrator advising of the invalid address. Unless I specifically go in and look at the activity, I don't see that it was returned. It would also be really great to have some individualized set up meetings with someone who knows the ins/outs of the software and could help by phone or video meeting with set up.

Overall: Better communication between our business and customers.

Pros: Text & email reminders to technicians and clients. Postcards for promotion. Simplicity of operating.

Cons: How creating an appt on the desktop is different from the mobile app. It takes some getting used to when you are used to the mobile app then go into the office and use it.

Pros: My customers experience has been extremely favorable. The on my way feature has received enormous amount of positive comments, The comments I have received from my customers is that they don't have to be home waiting around. My crews love the features that they can save there pictures to the invoice, They can have there tickets signed and collect there payments on site.

Cons: The Job address when different then the billing is a bit complex, I believe HCP software should request the information on all estimate and Invoices

Comments: Great software and even BETTER customer support. These guys rock and its clearly shows that they care about their customers.

Pros: I like the ability to sort and download invoices so I can better service repeat commercial customers with an invoice summary.

Cons: I'd like the ability to use the tool as a CRM. Or link it with one so I can manage customers in development with those active on the job.

Overall: easy to start. Porting information over from another tool was easy. I was operational in a day or two and flying the tool with grace after a week.

Pros: HCP is very user friendly. Our technicians have had a pretty smooth transition and love that they no longer have to fill out Job Details / Work Order forms.

Cons: We would love to be able to group chat in the App as well as message the techs via desktop version.
We also would like to set an invoice number to our liking and have it continue in sequence .

Pros: Navigating is easy to do. Simple layout to process tickets. The online scheduling features Yelp , Bing Yahoo!!!!

Cons: We may need more training and havent found it yet. But we genreally do 2hr slots for appointments. While yes you can drag and drop to desired appointment time slot. Sometimes our dispatch team for appointment slots gets this step and will put appointments on top of each other. It would be nice if you can select time slot for individual services when creating the task so when scheduled it automatically takes up the desired time on the calendar.

Also so I think on desktop you should always have to assign to a technician so that you don't assign to yourself if your in the office or administrator. You do have this option on mobile

It makes everything easier for me and my customers

Pros: This is very clean and simple to set up, we found everything we need to get our new service company on the ground. They have incorporated everything to take a client from stsrt to finsh and even after the job is complete.

Cons: We would love to see a feed back link for our clients incorporated into the billing side, there is really nothing we dont like at this point, Im sure if we get rolling there could be a few tweaks and possibly some add ons that could help improve our flow.

Pros: I like how my customers get notifications when we are on our way, they find it very reassuring. It's easy to book appointments and you can save appointments in the system for recurring customers.

Cons: That you have to pay separately for customers to make credit card payments transactions. If you are already paying monthly it should be included in the price.

Cons: There is no interface for my cloud-based Quickbooks Desktop Premier - it only supports Quickbooks Online.

Pros: User interface is easiest one we've looked at. We liked everything else but that was what we liked compared to others.

Cons: We would have gone with HC but they don't do ACH's through QB. That was our tipping point. The ACh's Through QB are free of charge. Once they can get those on board we'll be happy to look at HC again. NEED ROUTE SHEETS FOR CREW WORK. Programming needs to set up that feature as well.

Pros: Easy to learn and to help with customer's information and invoice. I have had several encounters when an Invoice to Discount was needed ASAP and the entry was done wrong. It was an easy fix with the help of the customer service and from there it was easy to do after show what was needed to be fixed.

Cons: Sometimes there is a waiting period for customer care, although they do respond as soon as they can.

Pros: I love the ease of using the app in the field on my mobile device and then when i'm in office or at home working on my laptop. Its also very convenient I can reach out for support basically anytime and get the help I need.

Cons: Only con is I wish i was indicated when my techs were on the job (like a push or sound notification)

Pros: Activities entered into Housecall Pro as an invoice are synced over to QBO very seamlessly. Like the dashboard that shows open and outstanding invoices, job status and time tracking.

Cons: Adjustments are needed at times, but it's pretty simple to make QBO correct, which is where most of the reporting is done. Would like to see the time tracking work more like a time sheet you could use at the end of the week for payroll.

Cons: Before we began moving forward with Housecall Pro we were concerned that it wouldn't scale up well. In the end, it worked out extremely well.

Pros: We use this in an everyday basis. We have 4-5 techs and this is great. Before this I was writing on note pads and keeping it on google. We always missed customers and double booked. With this we never have had those issues. So easy and convenient, my techs even love it. I would recommend it to any contractor who needs it. What a great company. Great to be teamed up with the best.

Cons: Poor tech tracking for gps. The most important thing they are missing is for repeat customers or dates. We do a lot of maintenances and need to do them 3-4 times a year. You don't have a way to do recurring visits or a master list of maintenance customers. It only lets us tag customers. Horrible we miss a lot of customers that way. We have to do or own tracking and keep up with or own list. Need a way to make it easier

I've only used this product 8 days or so. Still learning.

Pros: I'm hoping it will consolidate the jobs by project enough to help organize the processes. I can easily see this product evolving over time. The owner of the company has even thought of enhancements already after using it once!

Cons: It wasn't intuitive on how to view what I just entered. I was disconnected between entering the job and creating the customer. Or maybe I'm still learning - I understand the behavior of the program now a lot better.

Overall: I'm still discovering the benefits. I'd like to work a while with it before I give an honest review.

Pros: It's ease of use and layout. All the features and the way it keeps track and segments all the jobs and invoices.

Cons: Really not much I don't like. I guess it would be that there are some things on the computer that aren't on the app and I would like them to be more similar.

Pros: the ability to communicate with clients directly and that they can see when the technicians are on the way to arrive.

Cons: Well, I'm still learning it! I've only used it since like the 10th- gimme a few weeks but right now can't say I dislike anything

Pros: flexibility in scheduling when in need of certain type work. Marketing in a specific target area to fill trucks on any given day or schedule. Customer service is great

Cons: So far the only con, is we received to many calls directly after set up from service techs but I think it has settled now

Pros: HouseCall is very easy to navigate through and always have someone there to answer any questions I may have

Cons: HouseCall and QuickBooks Online to NOT mesh very well. We were having partial payments entered into QB from Housecall and Neither company could assist with the issues. We ended up having to unlink our QB to prevent anymore accounting errors!

For the most part it's pretty self explanatory and user friendly

Pros: that it's user friendly and self explanatory. I like the fact that I can chat with anyone at any time we are open if a question runs across my mind.

Cons: the tracking of texts which I had no idea that could only be tracked on a mobile device instead of a laptop

Overall: Able to keep track of all calls.

Pros: I really like how you get a great product at a great value. you get most of the bells and whistles of a very expensive software at a fraction of the price.

Cons: That I cant do administrative work through the app. I would like to be able to change the schedule using my phone without having to use safari, which sometime doesn't load properly.

Pros: keeps me going from job to job with ease- not a whole lot of extra thinking required. I just make sure to keep all my jobs updated and the app does the rest. Makes getting payments easy.

Cons: getting started with the system if you're coming from paper invoicing and such can be an absolute pain, but it's worth it. Just takes a while

Pros: The easy integration to my QuickBooks online! The apps and tools are great! Will really streamline my business and make us look much more professional

Pros: Overall it's a good software. Easy to schedule jobs, I like the new improvements that were implemented lately.

Cons: I don't like that customers phone numbers aren't visible on the schedule without opening the job. I use HouseCall on laptop and would like to see the phone number with just moving the cursor over the job. It has the name of the customer, address and service on it why not the phone #. It would save time.

Pros: I like the layout and the fact that it is user friendly. the customer support team is always very helpful as well.

Cons: I wish that I could receive a notification when a cleaner change the status of a job from omw to finish so that I would not have to log in each time to see the progress. I also wish that I could send out an invoice for a deposit and remaining balance from the app and not having to create 2 segments from a desktop. these 2 items are very frustrating.

Pros: I like that you can give customers receipts and estimates in real time instead of depending on the office to send them.

Cons: I don't like having unit pricing on the estimates or sales receipts because they are not applicable to my business

Pros: Love the marketing tools very helpful and great staff. Also logging customer info is very use thanks.

Cons: I'd like to see a map added in that shows where my techs are and the calls that need to be done. Also I like to see a place to pause a call and follow up later

Cons: Would like to see a "limited user" option that would allow certain employees limited access and allow them to use/view certain functions and info.

Comments: Love this program and would definitely recommend this to any business.

Pros: So simple, clean, and easy to use while still a very powerful software. As a young business manager with a new company, this program allowed me to prove myself with its implementation. Allows for total insight into abstract details of the business with the dynamic dashboard. Complete ease of use, helps me in processing payroll with the clock in/clock out time tracking feature. Customer service chat almost always responds in less than 5 minutes - takes some getting used to for chatting in instead of calling, but honestly, chatting is so much better. Quick responses, no annoying hold music, can do other things while you wait for their response.

Cons: Nothing as of yet. I just finished configuring everything and getting all of our information off of the old program and on to this one, so I will update if/when I have any cons.
