Not adviced for those who cannot invest on domains and the like. Pros Getresponse is a very formidable software. I have used it during a couple campaigns I had to run. IT is truly accessible to blind user, and pretty much user friendly. I liked so much that everything is clear, no buttons miss a lable in their website. Truly adviced! Cons The price, the price is something that I cannot afford, especially that with a trial of 30 days you cannot boost your list of contacts considerably... Pros GetResponse by far is the most user friendly platform I've found for email marketing and I've tried several. It's perfect software for a beginner. If you want basic or full automation, you're covered. Great customer service and several beautiful templates to choose from. Cons In truth, I've not found anything that I don't like. Even the free version allows for click tracking which is rare. Unacceptable business practices. The customer service had a quick rebuttal for not getting a refund. I’ll be spreading this word to every platform I can find today. Pros It seemed like it was going to be a good fit, until I paid for a premium service ($356) and then found out once purchased I could not perform the task that I needed. With 1 hour of making the purchase they told me they could not refund that portion of my money. Now mind you I also paid $158 2 hours earlier and I can’t do the function still. I was willing to take the $158 loss, but the $356 I feel was deceptive practices and will fight tooth and nail to get it charged back from American Express. Cons The description of the services is outdated and inaccurate. A very basic function is not included in their premium pricing. Things went well. It was time to build a new segment. The new emails bumped us to the next $$$ level. So, we used 'pay up front discount' (BIG mistake). We emailed the new list. Got some negative tics, due to some less than perfect hygiene on our part. Enter the disciplinarians:. Get Response compliance offered 1 option: Kill the VAST majority of your emails. Then you can play again. We'd just paid them $X,000's for an upgrade, & they hits us with the 500 pound hammer. Imagine a Dr. visit: Dr. finds a questionable spot on a big toe. Dr. offers one option: "Amputate BOTH legs now." We asked for grace. GR Compliance response: It's the 500 pound hammer or you're off line. Only one list triggered this review. We said: "Remove just the 1 list with issues." They would have none of it. GR would not be satisfied until they punished us irreparably. X,XXX of emails of individuals who are our friends and business contacts - all gone. (See above note where GR prevented us from exporting OUR emails which WE had put into GR) Then GR locked out the potential for adding emails back - including the hundreds of perfectly good, very solid, very clean emails we'd added, 1 by 1 - & had not yet even had the opportunity to email yet!! All the work we'd been doing to add and clean up our lists... GONE. Leader to leader: DO NOT do Get Response. Please heed our horror story. Pros Did seem to deliver. Gave decent tools for building newsletters. Liked several of their features. Landing pages feature is good. Cons There's no easy way to add one email to several categories at once. Example: You have one a customer email. You want to place that email in three segmented lists (which happens quite often). Unfortunately, you have to enter that same individual email THREE times. It felt to me that Get Response was stacking the deck in their favor with this non-functionality. You have to put in more emails, you owe them more money. It's possible that this was not strictly the case, (I never got out the calculator for this). From my experience, they could have made this option MUCH more user friendly. WHEN (not if) they place you, the paying customer, into a disciplinary review, they WILL lock your ability to export. You can follow the "it's easy to export" guides all you want to... you're not going to let you get YOUR contacts out of their system. (my experience) Get Response apparently believes that all those emails you've put into their system... those are not YOUR contacts.... you won't get them out if they have reason to discipline you... which they will. They talk nice and have cheery messages. But import something they don't like, they will, (with a smile), treat you as a paying customer like a redheaded stepchild. Is that the way you want to be treated? You might think that you're a good rule-follower and don't do things wrong... we paid them and used them for years. Then, one day they became punitive. It happened immediately after we paid them. General Manager Automotive Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "\*\*\*PLEASE READ - BUYER BEWARE - GET RESPONSE SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED \*\*\*" January 3, 2024 2.0 We used Get Response for almost 3 years with no issues. It is a basic service but for the most part it worked adequately. Nothing fancy, no integration with the website and it lacked other basic services, but it did work to send out email promotions. We typically have a sale once a month and would send out a couple emails about it to our email list. Additionally we would send out some other emails sharing a video or a story with our customers. During the 2023 Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend we sent out 5 emails in a week to promote our sales. Get Response turned off our services and accused us of spamming customers and also getting emails without permission. This did not happen and we communicated this directly to them, each email to their company was met with no emotion, no help and nor resolution. We were told we needed to show where we received all of our emails from (we had 28,000 emails), make changes to our website and approve the deletion of 14,000 emails, to have the capability to send emails again. I tried many times to email, chat and call and ACTUALLY talk to someone about this misunderstanding, I got nothing except for them to repeat the same thing over and over. We were not able to finish our email campaigns for the sale and as a result lost thousands of dollars. ALL communication from them was either a bot or a template that was used. There was no help from them whatsoever. We work with many companies and I have never received such terrible service. There was no effort to try and help us and only a very cold response to every inquiry we made. While this service might seem good to use, the customer service is terrible and if you trigger something in their system they WILL turn you off and hold all of your emails hostage. They completely controlled our company and the ability to communicate with customers that signed up through our website to receive emails from us. Get Response has cost our company thousands of dollars by not taking one moment to talk with us and try to fix the issue. Please look to other companies for these services, in the end it is too costly to lose your contacts. We went with Klaviyo and have been very happy. Mail Chimp is also a great alternative. Pros Ease of use initially, it was not as easy as we thought. Cons Cost Limitations with segmenting the email lists Inability to connect directly with our website Very poor customer service Reason for choosing GetResponse The person in charge of email campaigns had more experience with Get Response. Also, auto responder feature helps me to send custom responses seamlessly. I've been a part of its affiliate program and the best part is it's recurring commission to affiliates. Pros We've been using GetResponse for a long time now across several other businesses we run and by far they're the best in terms of marketing automation and Customer support. The support team takes time to send useful weekly emails to new clients to help them better use their software. This educational aspect of theirs shows how concerned they are with the client's experience that's what we're chasing after.We create and run email marketing easily with great automation features and there are a lot of prebuilt email templates to start off with. The ideas are quite helpful.It also supports a lot of integrations which makes marketing super easy and less stressful. The tool itself is very affordable and result-driven- Don't where'll find the best elsewhere. Cons Sales convention comes at an extra cost and times it's not really easy to accurately keep track of email bounce rates. December 25, 2022 5.0 I found GetResponse to be the most powerful marketing tool for small to medium businesses where you can start for free. It has a lot of features such as CRM, automations, landing pages and many more to help grow your business. If you want access to more advanced features, you have to pay. Pros What I liked most is that GetResponse lets you create a free account that allows you to test the platform and make a decision before committing to a paid plan. GetResponse's long list of features is easy to use and a dashboard that is also easy to navigate. There are a lot of email templates and fantastic automations that you can create to grow your business. Cons Although the free plan offers a lot of features that one can use as a beginner, access to more advanced features are only available on the plus plan and higher and they are a bit pricey. I've seen it being used for so many years in my industry and I decided to try it myself. Happy with how easy it is to use and the results I've been getting. There's also a lot of education/training available at GetResponse. Many guides, E-books, video trainings and so on. This is very useful especially for beginners and people who want to learn more about everything related to email marketing, list building, marketing automation and online selling. Pros I like how GetResponse offers may different tools under one roof. The email marketing automation is the core and I use that the most. You also can build pages, sites and even use webinar marketing from within the very same account. GetResponse is an easy to use tool, great for beginners and advanced marketers. Cons I'd like to have a few of the more advanced features included in the lower priced plans. I don't like it that some features are only available in the more expensive monthly/yearly plan, but hey once you grow your account and revenue I think this won't matter too much. Ease of integration with other platforms - setting up my entire GetResponse account only took about 20 minutes and I was already set to collect leads via my website straight away. 2.) Automation - creating autoresponders is also another very straightforward and fast process. Inbuilt templates are at your disposal and the feature gives you a very clear visual representation of how and when the emails are to be sent. Pros We discovered that less than 0.70% of all website visitors ever requested quotes from us. Using GetResponse we set up a system where website visitors could request free eBooks and information which then put them into our 'Autoresponder" campaign. That simple change increased our quote requests to just over 1.5% the very first year. GetResponse makes it easy to set up autoresponders, automation, email blasts and newsletters. I have only recently started using the Landing Pages and Funnel features and I'm seeing really good results already as well. Cons I feel like a previous version of the software had more templates to choose from than the current version. Being in the USA I'd like a bigger variety of templates for our US Holidays. I won't be changing them anytime soon for sure because, not only do they make life easy for me as an email marketer but the price suits me fine.If you really believe "the money is in the list" then a Getresponse partnership is a total no-brainer. Pros 1st of all I love the Getresponse support who are always there when needed at critical times. I especially love that I'm not hindered when connecting to other software because I use various different platforms to capture leads. Their ability to integrate with other systems to give us end users a pleasant experience, goes without saying because to me they're the best in the market.With so many amazing features like, DFY templates, email scheduling, best time sending, name personalization just to name a few, my job has been made easier both reaching and communicating with my audience on a daily basis. The split testing feature is a bit outdated or you can say limited. The customization here is less and you are just stuck. This really needs critical care. I could say that the platform itself is quite easy to understand, even if there is an issue we can sort it out here but when it comes to getting help from them directly it is quite not possible unless you are using their extremely elite plan which is a bummer if you are stuck somewhere. I have done a lot of manual marketing campaigns through word docs and presentations. My favorite is all the templates that are available and the ability to easily customize. Cons At first, it was very confusing to use as it does have a lot of functionality. But support is always there to help and resources they have on their website.
