Cons It does not allow changing the name or date of interactions once they have been created. You must delete the interaction and create a new one. November 3, 2025 5.0 I have been using the free version for several years now. A speaker used it during a presentation years ago and I simply fell for it. I have been using it a few times a year since (hence my reluctance to go for the full version...I do not need it extensively). An amazing product , easy to set up and eaysi to us durin a live presentation , virtual or face to face. Pros This one is sooooo easy to learn! For me, and most importantly , for the participants! And versatile! Surveys, quizzes, word clouds... you name it, you've got it! Cons Limited options on the free version but hey... Some functions are more difficult to use on a cell phone that they are on a tablet or the desktop version. Nothing that would prevent me from using it on a cell phone, however. But one has to practice in advance as this could be a be disconforting in fron a a live audience. Cons Slido is located in Slovakia. In my case, my bank balked at using a business card for their products. I requested an invoice to see if I could pay that way: the only other solution was an overseas bank transfer, which appeared suspicious and unsafe. However, they unlocked the product anyway and billed me later for it - I had no idea that in requesting an invoice, I'd committed to use of the product and payment by bank transfer. This is the only software product I've ever known to give access to a product without payment first: I believed I was using the free version for that reason. I did not use the full functionality of Slido because I did not know I had it but was billed anyway. They've been relentlessly hounding me about this for weeks since then. That's the easiest platforms for the specific job. Pros The best thing about Slido is the polls and online q&a feature. The polls in Slido are so easy that I use that feature to hold polls in our team even when there is no meeting. The Q&A feature in Slido allows us to have interactive Q&A sessions with the audience because the audience can vote for the Questions such that they come up in the list and that allows us to reduce duplicate questions during large audience meetings. Cons The events in Slido can be scheduled only for a limited time. I usually restart ended events again and again to bypass that. It would be great if we can keep events for a more extended time. I couldn't find an option to do so. The system is solid and really flexible. Pros I like how simple Slido is to use (one URL + one hashtag, or scan a QR code > instantly usable on any browser). I also like how many options it has (quite a few but not overwhelming) and the way it can help instantly visualise data. It can be a simple tool to receive questions but can also facilitate instant data analysis. Cons I think Slido gets it just right when it comes to usability. I would like to see some updates on the look and feel, and I think one or two more visualisation options would be welcome. It supports simultaneous inputs of 300+ people (in our case), and no bugs appeared. It’s really an industry standard and can recommend it Pros It’s a perfect tool for having polls on live events as well as on online meetings and webinars. Their PowerPoint integration works seamlessly, which is of great value so that you don’t have to switch screens when ending presentation and switching to the poll. Slido is intuitive and easy to use, and shows live poll results in a great way. Collecting data and inputs is very easy and just scan the QR code, which opens live poll on their mobile web browser (no registration or app needed). Their Q&A tab also works nicely, allowing users to ask questions during and after the poll ended, which makes transition from poll to q&a part of the workshop seamless Cons I can’t say much about the cons, as the app is really good. It begins meetings, quickly gathers data and shows analysis of the data in lifetime, which is nice because it quickly shows what is a general consensus of the feelings of the people in the meeting. When it was used for less serious topics and more about breaking the ice, it was also really fun to use as conversation starters. Because it could also be anonymous, it really allowed people in the meeting to express your thoughts. Pros What I like most about Slido was how it quickly brought together meetings with surveys and polls. With this feature, we were all able to see the data collected and analyze very quickly, and it became a start of specific conversation conversations. Especially if it was an open discussion forum, using Slido gave the meeting an opportunity to gather topics for discussion. The smoothness of the settings had an excellent impact on our ability to control and follow up on all the details. Pros Slido strengthens the cohesion of all the activities of any event. Slido can be used to manage any type of event (meetings, seminars, conferences, ......) or even virtual ones, where it is easy to prepare the guest lists, send invitations, and document the confirmation of attendance efficiently. It is great that we can answer any inquiries before or after the event ends directly from the event page without the need to send an email or make calls. I love the statistics we get after each event, as well as the notes and inquiries that were documented by the invitees or supervisors of the event, as we can easily include them in the reports. Viewing Slidos conducted at the beginning of the term, then polling students at the end of the term shows students how much they have grown when their responses change to reflect more confidence for speaking in front of the class. It works perfectly fine in the PowerPoint itself and has great features I appreciate a lot, such as live pools and, of course, the quizzes. As of now I didn't have any problems while using this software as it works very reliably. I may also mention the Slido Academy, which is a platform that offers loads of video tutorials for getting started with Slido and exploring its many resources. This is such a great add-on! Pros What I like the most about Slido is how I can engage with my audience by easily creating live polls and quizzes directly on a PowerPoint presentation and getting instant feedback... all this on real-time! Slido is both fun, pedagogic, easy to use and has incredible features I appreciate a lot. I firstly found Slido while watching a presentation of a colleague and since then I've been using it for many quizzes and Q&As, as it is very easy to access by the participants. Cons If I had to point any less good characteristic, I would say that what I like the least about this software is the not so user-friendly layout. I would like to see more of a modern design and I think there is room for improvement there. Other than that, I had not encounter any issues or concerns whatsoever. It acts as a ice breaker between the meetings and also serves as a tool to drive engagement across any organisation. One of my best feature for Slido is it's points table update after every question which shows how have people faired after every question. Also, it tells you who is just ahead of you which I think is also a nice feature as it keeps you competitive. Cons There are a few small things that would make Slido even more efficient for us. One example would be one master image per survey instead of one image for each question. Polling feature is also one of the recently used features and it's really easy to use. Pros I like most the features they introduced, especially the Q&A and polling feature which makes all the meetings so interactive, and upvoting to the questions is the lacking feature in the competitor's platform. The recent feature which analyse the keyword and displaying the word wrap is again useful and the interesting fact is the most of the tools can use it free to an extend. Cons If the trial version is more then it would be easy to try out all the features and would help to understand the potential and buy the subscription. Also, the subscription price is a bit high when comes to a single user, if it is paid as you use, it would be great. If I use the Powerpoint integration and I must exit presentation mode to refer to another slide, when I re-enter presentation mode, it brings me automatically to the top of the presentation, not the slide selected. Now with the tools from Slido, this has become so much easier for me as a facilitator, and fun for the learners, as it gives the conversation more richness in discussion, through using what they Managers have answered, as they pop up on the screen. Pros I came across Slido following a post I saw on LinkedIn, advertising that you can include Slido software directly into your PowerPoint. I checked it out, and within 24 hours I had changed the interaction in my slides to include quizzes, polls, and word clouds etc, which was amazing! The software is as it says, simple and easy to use. Downloading the software was quick and easy, and within minutes I was logged in and setting up my slides with Slido interactions. Additional to this is the admin system, which allows you to pull the stats and data from the quizzes etc. Just seen the further update this week, that Slido is now a feature within MS Teams, this is a win win for me, as we use Teams in our organisation - life just got better! Cons Not yet, however I have yet to start pulling the answers from the past 2 weeks sessions, which I'm going to use to pull together some data for a presentation for my Directors on the engagement in our Virtual Sessions.
