Pros I like that this software gives me a wide berth - a platform to freely express the various stages of my multiple ongoing projects. They are all under one umbrella but the system design allows me to address them independently, which in some cases helps me generate more ideas. Cons I don't like that when you drag and drop a task (email) to the matrix, you can't type changes. Next up, getting the rest of my team onboard! Pros Easy to use, can drag actions around, ability to take a large project and break into individual tasks. Cons Would love the ability to track dependancies more easily - I am a GANT chart user and Cody has showed me how to link actions, but it would be great to see them as dependancies in the charting feature. The syncing function needs to be simplified though. Pros Incredibly varied number of features. Cons The UI for the iPhone is very poor. Pros I've tried a lot of tools to track action items for myself and the team I manage - ToDoist, Outlook Tasks, Excel, etc. PM is super-intuitive, provides easy views to see what things need to be tackled and when. It has more features than I've probably been able to even use still as I learn more each day I used it. Highly recommend it. Cons None as of yet. The overall structure of the system is great, not only does it allow me to prioritize and manage my daily and weekly tasks but it also allows me to include those who are a part of those tasks as well. Cons I wish there was a way to better ensure that multiple users to not add/assign the same task. There have been cases where myself and another colleague both add the same task our matrix and assign the same PR. Cons Even though it mostly works, I keep on getting error reports regarding syncing. This undermines my confidence in the product since I do not know if there is a problem building up which I am not aware of. Another downside is that I have trouble ranking tasks by priority. Allows you to save documents and add comments and notes. I like the ability to color code. It took me over 3 months of unorganized use before I re-organized how I use it. It's helped me keep track of annoying minute details better than I would have through any other method. Cons I wish there was an option for multiple due dates for tasks. Plus my personal life. I am also an early adopter of tools (particularly apps) that can drive personal excellence. Priority Matrix is just such a product. Not perfect, but superior. Beyond its tried and true "Eisenhower Matrix", it forces you to think differently about your to-do list, a very good thing. I also like the more visual aspect of it as compared to traditional "lists". A component of our work includes strategic planning; Priority Matrix adds real value to the related the SWOT analysis. Customer support is responsive if you allow for the habit of folks on the west coast lying-in while the rest of us are well into our day. This app is not perfect, but a strongly recommend it as a superior tool. It has added value to my self-management. Review Source Mike B. February 1, 2017 5.0 I learned about the PM methodology in a career enhancement course on effective problem solving at the company I work for. I stumbled across Priority Matrix while searching for productivity apps that would allow me to practice this methodology digitally rather than on white boards or paper-and what a find it was! It inspired me to use the matrix in ways I didn't think of before, and it has A LOT of features. My favorites are being able to assign tasks and set deadlines to team mates and add notes to those tasks. I'm also loving the email integration which has helped with continued use of the tool. I'm still finding new features everyday. The only thing that would be nice to have is an improved Gantt chart view, but I understand that's not quite the focus of the app. Highly recommend!
