We've been having a challenge tracking the employee goals and progress, and also updating them respectively which affected their overall evaluation. With , it is now much easier to track the employee performance and give credit where due. It has enabled us to gain valuable insights into employees' experiences, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions to enhance their company culture and overall performance and productivity. Overall, Culture Amp is an Excellent and easy to integrate software for any organization with intent of improving their employees performances.

Pros

This is one of the most user friendly software that integrates top quality analytics to gain insights onto the employee performances while ensuring that the user interface is easy to use and is available to employees at all levels in the organization.

Cons

I feel the 1-on-1s feature should be upgraded in that, it should be able to send an email of responses whenever a direct report or manager updates the conversation or shares a reply. Other than that, is the best.

My company purchased the survey module from last year. We looked at 10 or so other vendors, 2 of them making it to the final round, and Culture Amp being our final choice due to the experience we had during the sales process, the great UI, and and the support offered by their company. We've been happy with the tool after running one large company-wide survey and a couple of smaller ones. Culture Amp works hard to make sure employee data is kept confidential.

Pros

Lovely UI, easy to manage employee data, configure surveys, and track results through the tool.

Cons

There is very little to speak negatively about . The application is great and support has met expectations.

Versatile software tool with the tendency to lose employees and leaders in various numbers of to dos instead of managing the workflow (per team, per feedback round, per performance discussion etc.)

Pros

Provides 360° feedback options (upward, direct, peer) and can be nominated and assigned individually / according to need of the organization

Cons

The usability with surveys, cycles and dependencies was sometimes overwhelming (although the organization size was not too large). Also, the number of separate tasks / reminders creates more confusion that focusing on simple deadlines and open to dos.

Pros

I love that just makes things so simple for the People team now. They have survey templates readily available so we don't even have to design the surveys anymore. It's very user friendly for employees to take the survey and the reporting is the best part. It really protects anonymity while allowing you to take targeted action.

Cons

While the Performance features have many of the things you would expect in an OKR software, it's not as strong as their survey module yet. For example, there are opportunities to improve in the features for adding and tracking OKR progress. This is a newer feature for them though so I am hopeful to see where they will be at in a few years from now.

Not helpful with more strategic initiatives.

Pros

Not good for large scale and high growth organizations. Their integration with Rippling is a joke and leads to terrible data and duplicative profiles. Very buggy -- when you run performance cycles the UX is different for self reflection vs performance. It means you have to manually update and edit everything. Also, they don't have on demand customer service -- just the chat bot, so if you need anything more complex.. like talent grids or ways to review calibration modules, you have to contact your CS team and in our experience their solutions are super limited. Mostly they tell you to just download the CSV and then manually create reporting or detailed info outside of the system. Not great.

Cons

UX is terrible -- it is not user friendly at all.

### "Not for people with learning difficulties, good software but awful product support"

My experience has been terrible, not due to the software but due to the Product Support team. They take hours to get back to you and it does feel like they are not concerned with smaller clients.

Pros

The software platform is robust. It has a lot of helpful features.

Cons

Setting up the engagement survey can be painful, especially with awful product support. Most guides are in writing, so dyslexics will find get confused. They have a lot of bespoke terminology that takes time to get used to.

I really enjoy using as an employee engagement tool and will continue to register for their regular webinars to keep me updated on HR trends and topics.

Pros

We use in our company to assess employee engagement. I enjoy how simple it is to set up eithrr a custom or template survey, and how it analyses survey responses for you. I also enjoy the regular webinars that I get invited to attend. The speakers and the content on the webinars is usually very informative and relevant to my role as a HR professional.

Cons

At first, it was difficult to understand how to import participants onto - the process wasn’t so clear and intuitive. It required reading the Help resources. However, I managed to figure it out after further research!

Really positive. The engagement/survey side has been most used by our business. We are still encouraging employees to use the 1-2-1 functions more as not everyone has adopted them.

The fact it summaries answers from employee engagement surveys into themes (this has saved us lots of time!)

Doesn't always sync perfectly to our employee list, so we are reminding people about surveys on our intranet and very occasionally a new starter hasn't been included (as lists haven't synced)

Pros

I believe in 's purpose of brining together functionality around employee engagement, goal setting, performance management and improving organizational culture into one comprehensive development zone. From a high level view, it seems to integrate the right components in a reasonably intuitive structure There is ample room for customization.

Cons

However the features themselves turn out to feel rather clunky and disjointed. Perhaps if you can dedicate a brilliant team of visionaries and administrators to fully realize 's potential, this can be overcome in your implementation. But I find the many limitations imposed by our configuration to make the application more frustrating than propulsive. Limitations include inscrutably opaque scheduling functions (first of all an administrator has to manage all the schedules, then the only way to look up when something should occur is to find the group of that functionality (say Performance>Self Assessments>Direct Reports Self-Assessments) then drill down into individual months (say May 2024) to see who is scheduled in that month - and only past and current months can be seen. So effectively you cannot see an annual schedule and you cannot see your own obligations in the same frame that you can see your direct reports' obligations. When completing such functions as performance reviews and self-assessments, there is an arcane methodology for submitting documents for review and sharing them, along with deadlines set by an administrator that close documents for completion or editing, and require adminsitrator interventions to enable sharing. All of these may serve some purpose but they really serve to make it seem hard, sometimes impossible, to do what you're supposed to do. And trying to understand what is working for you or against you to complete these tasks is difiicult. I feel like the developers may have had some brilliant ideas but then let themselves get so bogged down in controlling every detail that they don't see the oppressive cloud hovering over the product. A particular detail that I found very frustrating involved the in-app support features. There are several places you can seek explanations or instructions. Upon doing so, a little bot survey asks about your experience with the help and whether you have any feedback for Culture Amp on your issue. It then asks if Culture Amp can contact you about your feedback. On several occasions I wrote some very detailed observations and suggestions, and actually did hope that I would be able to talk to someone at the company about these. After a few times, I decided to send one of these responses in to the support team at Contact Us to see if I could get any traction. I explained that I had submitted these and similar details to the survey bot. First, the reps several times over tried to steer me into an explanation of why our site administrator, not Culture Amp staff would be the person to talk to about changing our survey questions. When I finally convinced someone familiar with the survey bot that I was not talking about any custom survey of our own, they explained that the survey bot responses are not captured with a link to any individual user who submits respoinses - they are only catured and analyzed in aggregate. I naturally suggested that in that case it might be prudent of them to remove the question about whether Culture Amp can contact us about that response, since they appear to have neither the intention nor the means. They disagreed and the issue sort of dissolved into the overall cloud of opacity under which I use, but don't reallu understand the inner workings of this application.

Great experience with and would highly recommend to anyone who wants to embed a learning and nurturing environment within their teams and workplaces.

Pros

The ability to dive into five minutes (or less!) of e-learning on a daily basis has been a game changer and definitely shifted my thinking and approach to a number of management tasks. I've taken lots of notes and will be referring back to Culture Amps simple but effective tools in future projects and with new teams.

Very poor. I do not understand the high rating of the product as the tool still seems to be in development and does not justify the given price.

Pros

We chose cultureAmp because we wanted a tool that could combine the companies Goalsetting strategy and the feedback and performance measurement tools in on. Also Cultureamp provided useful resources during the conceptualization phase.

Cons

The tool was not what was sold to us. The Goalsetting section in cultureamp was unable for the team as the tables always showed the oldest goals at the top and one needed to manually filter dates to see the currently active goals which meant people were not using it. During the Setup Phase and the conduction of quarterly feedback cycles, many bugs led to us having to find workarounds (e.g. the CEO could not see his feedback as it was only visible for the user's manager, or not being able to share feedback with the recipient directly). We highlighted these topics within the first month of using the tool, however, it took the organization ~8 month to get back to us and only when we stopped paying the bills due to the underperformance.

We genuinely believe to be one of the best tools we've used for measuring employee engagement. We also use the tool for onboarding, offboarding, and internal surveys. We appreciate having full control over the survey process and user experience coupled with the ability to tailor surveys and reports. We're able to tailor questions, configure communications, and update demographics with ease. Copying surveys is also a handy feature, as is the ability to apply several different benchmarks to our results to provide comparisons. The speed with which we can create, deploy, close, and analyse surveys is great; we recently ran our organisational survey and from beginning to end (i.e. survey design, response period, and results analysis) in just 13 days. Having templates readily available also helps, as does the ability to build our own surveys from scratch. Our leaders have access and can run their own dashboard results at any time. Because of the way we've structured our demographics, we're able to provide aggregate results to Executive Managers, group results to Managers, and small team reports to Team Leaders. This helps ensure a swift and clean results cascade and lets us get on with action planning. We find the support team accessible and reliable and nothing is too much trouble.

Cons

Filters aren't contextual; allow me to explain with an example. We use our three organisational levels as demographics so these are represented as three standalone filters. This means that if you pick a certain business unit as your first filter and want to use teams as your second filter, you'll see all available teams rather than related to the previously selected business unit. Our workaround was to introduce a prefix for business units, teams, and sub-teams which makes it easier to see related items (the fact we can do this ourselves is pro).

We've used for Employee Engagement, Remote Work / Returning to the Office, CEO's 360 leadership survey and CEO Performance Evaluation completed by the Board of Directors, to survey employees following the implementation of new policies to gauge understanding and any questions they may have, etc.

Pros

I've used in my last two organizations. Wherever I go Culture Amp comes along with me (it's a condition of my employment - LOL). Ease of use, ease of implementation, cost effective, great templates for engagement and effectiveness that are built based upon behavioural science and feedback from users, can be used internally for employees and externally for board of directors, built in analytics and reporting, and awesome customer service which is just a chat away. Culture Amp is constantly improving the platform even making available things like 1 x 1 conversations and Skills Coach to all customers.

Cons

None that come to mind. That's how much I love .

We're long time users of 's employee engagement tool and have always rated their product, support and overall experience very highly. We've also had great feedback from employees completing the survey and managers using the manager dashboard - so it's not just us in the People and Culture team who love it, but people from across the whole company. The tool is very customisable allowing us to add and remove questions depending on what we're focusing on as a company and also letting us add company values-specific questions (in saying this though, the questions that CA provide you with to begin with are really great). Real time feedback on participation rates allows us to send targeted reminders to teams when numbers are looking low. Information is able to be clearly delivered to the Exec team and managers immediately too, meaning that People and Culture aren't seen as 'gatekeepers' of this information. The industry specific benchmarks that they can provide you with are also extremely helpful. Their support team are always quick to get back in touch should you need something - and with personalised messages too, not an automated "look at our knowledgebase" or "have you tried watching these videos" that are generally never very helpful. The team are all extremely knowledgeable about the product as well as the science behind surveying, psychometrics and of course employee engagement and happiness. We're also now currently exploring the possibility of using their 360 degree feedback tool that promises to be just as awesome as their engagement tool. Generally we're a company of big Culture Amp fans and we're all looking forward to seeing what this awesome company comes up with next!

I have enjoyed the process. We work in a very busy environment. The opportunity to take time to debrief, work toward solutions together on a dedication time each month - makes it happen. At times it is easy for time to pass bye, the relationship between Manager and team members can slip. Resentment can build that team members thoughts are not being considered.

Pros

is easy to use. Culture Amp gives both Manager and team members equality to put forward their thoughts. It enables team members to speak openly, structures reviews, to mark progress or swiftly pick up where change needs to occur.

Cons

I believe it would be of benefit to on occasion to change out the reviewer (Manager), if there was a bit of a personality or uncomfortable situation with the direct Manager, it enables the team member to speak more openly over a issue than may be causing concern.
