Experience overall has been great. We use Culture Amp all the time it really helps with managing and understanding our team engagement.

Pros

I like that with Culture Amp it provides surveys to use, edit or you can create your own. The functionality is great and love the AI insights.

Cons

When reviewing survey results in Culture Amp, I'd like to see not only the percentage breakdown showing favorable, neutral, or unfavorable responses for each question, but also the individual response weights. Essentially, while maintaining anonymity, it would be helpful to view each person's answers without names and understand how their responses contributed to the overall scoring.

They are great! they have a simple product, their team is the BEST at reaching out to our staff or just explaining new highlights or features. They are just a superb company!

Pros

I think it is a great software for most companies! They excel in simple company surveys for any size company.

Cons

I think they need to have a couple more options for the 1 on 1s for managers to use, and maybe some more basic simple surveys to just use more daily or trainings.

While the tool has a lot of potential if you have the resources to put into it, I feel like it has been overcomplicated and while I appreciate the responsiveness of their support team and flexibility of surveys, I don't know how much ROI we have seen with our basic use.

Pros

I like the ability to be able to create multiple surveys for a variety of different purposes within Culture Amp from Onboarding and Engagement to 360 Reviews and Exit Interviews, it is helpful and can be as simple or complex as needed with the aid of the presets and templates offered.

Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve to the navigation of the tool for administrators as things aren't always where you expect them to be. I also feel that we have seen more data issues than should occur and the value for the money is not ideal.

I really enjoy using Culture Amp as an employee engagement tool and will continue to register for their regular webinars to keep me updated on HR trends and topics.

Pros

We use Culture Amp in our company to assess employee engagement. I enjoy how simple it is to set up eithrr a custom or template survey, and how it analyses survey responses for you. I also enjoy the regular webinars that I get invited to attend. The speakers and the content on the webinars is usually very informative and relevant to my role as a HR professional.

Cons

At first, it was difficult to understand how to import participants onto Culture Amp - the process wasn’t so clear and intuitive. It required reading the Help resources. However, I managed to figure it out after further research!

Versatile software tool with the tendency to lose employees and leaders in various numbers of to dos instead of managing the workflow (per team, per feedback round, per performance discussion etc.)

Pros

Provides 360° feedback options (upward, direct, peer) and can be nominated and assigned individually / according to need of the organization

Cons

The usability with surveys, cycles and dependencies was sometimes overwhelming (although the organization size was not too large). Also, the number of separate tasks / reminders creates more confusion that focusing on simple deadlines and open to dos.

Really positive. The engagement/survey side has been most used by our business. We are still encouraging employees to use the 1-2-1 functions more as not everyone has adopted them.

Pros

The fact it summaries answers from employee engagement surveys into themes (this has saved us lots of time!)

Cons

Doesn't always sync perfectly to our employee list, so we are reminding people about surveys on our intranet and very occasionally a new starter hasn't been included (as lists haven't synced)

### "Not built to scale with you"

It is apparent that Culture Amp is not able to deliver the necessary workflows, tooling, and reporting to align with the requirements of a business of any large scale. Despite our efforts to raise concerns, and the limited resolutions to our challenges, it feels as though the only true solutions we have been offered is to "wait" for future changes or to compromise our performance initiatives to fit what is available. What we need today, is for Culture Amp to be the customer-centric partner we first signed up with. The partner who understands their market fit and who develops products that fulfill their customer's needs, without attempting to compel customers to use their products in unintended ways merely to secure additional contracts. Despite all attempts, Culture Amp has declined to be responsive to our needs and will not support a reasonable transition out of the software, regardless of their ability to support our performance tooling needs. I would caution against using Culture Amp if you have more than 100 employees or any anticipated growth. They are not the business they once were when it comes to knowing and supporting their customers and are more concerned about getting a deal signed than actually making sure their product is the right fit for your business. 

Pros

At first Culture Amp was very customer-centric and committed to building a performance platform that would scale as you did. We have used Culture Amp for years and in the beginning, it was a fantastic product. If you are under 100 employees, have no growth anticipated, and do not need a robust performance management solution they could still be a good fit.

Cons

As our headcount has grown Cuture Amp has become increasingly challenging to utilize. We continue to encounter blockers, and despite feedback and requests for support, there is little Culture Amp can or will do to assist. Our business has scaled from 100 to over 400 employees in the last three years - this is not a product that can support that level of growth.  When it comes to our blockers, most notably the lack of adaptability across this product has been incredibly frustrating and a complete miss when it comes to what users are trying to achieve. For example, to support a 360 review you are required to build and manage two separate reviews (Peer + Upward & Self Reflection) and run them concurrently. Not only is this twice the setup and work to manage, but the reviews are disconnected with different UI, settings, and requirements. This duplicative work has led to administrative hurdles and a disjointed user experience. Furthermore, the necessity to reopen the entire review period to accommodate a single individual extension is ridiculous. As a result, this has led to many extra hours and a source of confusion across our organization as due dates are changed within the platform for everyone - instead of just one employee. How there is no customization when it comes to due dates for reviews at an individual level is unfathomable - and an administrative nightmare if you have more than a handful of employees. If you're looking for meaningful visualization or data analysis of performance results then this is likely not the product for you. For example, we wanted to adopt a 9-box or talent grid model. Despite being assured that this would not be an issue, after reviewing the provided documentation, it has become evident that Culture Amp is not equipped to support this functionality at all. Rather they suggested workarounds that would impose a substantial burden on our team. Their proposal was to not use their product and instead have us build the grid ourselves entirely outside of the platform manually. It's clear that Culture Amp is not built to support these more complex features - but that they also do not see an issue in upselling when the tooling is not truly supported.

Pros

Very user friendly UI, easy for employees to fill their goals and add reflections. Feels more empathetic than other similar tools. Simple does the job, easy to review tasks and 1to1s.

Cons

Perhaps just one thing can be improved - skills coach section - i would prefer how we can utilize AI and other tech to make our life easier and reduce manual workload. Basically more modern training.

Pros

Few things I like most in Culture Amp Its easy to use. It allows you to take one on one meetings. Its few features like individual development plans, surveys & feedback , and self assessment features helps to improve culture of company and increase employee retention. One more think I like about culture Amp is , it allows to customise the surveys on the basis of requirements.

Cons

Few things I like least about the software is- Lack of reporting options. And the price of Culture Amp is relatively high. It should add more features in HR analytics.

Pros

I believe in Culture Amp's purpose of brining together functionality around employee engagement, goal setting, performance management and improving organizational culture into one comprehensive development zone. From a high level view, it seems to integrate the right components in a reasonably intuitive structure There is ample room for customization.

Cons

However the features themselves turn out to feel rather clunky and disjointed. Perhaps if you can dedicate a brilliant team of visionaries and administrators to fully realize Culture Amp's potential, this can be overcome in your implementation. But I find the many limitations imposed by our configuration to make the application more frustrating than propulsive. Limitations include inscrutably opaque scheduling functions (first of all an administrator has to manage all the schedules, then the only way to look up when something should occur is to find the group of that functionality (say Performance>Self Assessments>Direct Reports Self-Assessments) then drill down into individual months (say May 2024) to see who is scheduled in that month - and only past and current months can be seen. So effectively you cannot see an annual schedule and you cannot see your own obligations in the same frame that you can see your direct reports' obligations. When completing such functions as performance reviews and self-assessments, there is an arcane methodology for submitting documents for review and sharing them, along with deadlines set by an administrator that close documents for completion or editing, and require adminsitrator interventions to enable sharing. All of these may serve some purpose but they really serve to make it seem hard, sometimes impossible, to do what you're supposed to do. And trying to understand what is working for you or against you to complete these tasks is difiicult. I feel like the developers may have had some brilliant ideas but then let themselves get so bogged down in controlling every detail that they don't see the oppressive cloud hovering over the product. A particular detail that I found very frustrating involved the in-app support features. There are several places you can seek explanations or instructions. Upon doing so, a little bot survey asks about your experience with the help and whether you have any feedback for Culture Amp on your issue. It then asks if Culture Amp can contact you about your feedback. On several occasions I wrote some very detailed observations and suggestions, and actually did hope that I would be able to talk to someone at the company about these. After a few times, I decided to send one of these responses in to the support team at Contact Us to see if I could get any traction. I explained that I had submitted these and similar details to the survey bot. First, the reps several times over tried to steer me into an explanation of why our site administrator, not Culture Amp staff would be the person to talk to about changing our survey questions. When I finally convinced someone familiar with the survey bot that I was not talking about any custom survey of our own, they explained that the survey bot responses are not captured with a link to any individual user who submits respoinses - they are only catured and analyzed in aggregate. I naturally suggested that in that case it might be prudent of them to remove the question about whether Culture Amp can contact us about that response, since they appear to have neither the intention nor the means. They disagreed and the issue sort of dissolved into the overall cloud of opacity under which I use, but don't reallu understand the inner workings of this application.

The ability to dive into five minutes (or less!) of e-learning on a daily basis has been a game changer and definitely shifted my thinking and approach to a number of management tasks. I've taken lots of notes and will be referring back to Culture Amps simple but effective tools in future projects and with new teams.

Pros

The UI and the accessibility of the interface is a breeze. I think I have never liked a performance tool much before but CultureAmp is a trend-setter. One would often fall in love when using it. Everything related to performance and talent management including your 1-1s has never been so easy. In fact, I haven't seen a tool that had so many features with 1-1 clearly left out and your 1-1s are so important.

Cons

It would sound a bit naive but I haven't found anything in Culture Amp that is not good.

Very poor. I do not understand the high rating of the product as the tool still seems to be in development and does not justify the given price.

Pros

We chose cultureAmp because we wanted a tool that could combine the companies Goalsetting strategy and the feedback and performance measurement tools in on. Also Cultureamp provided useful resources during the conceptualization phase.

Cons

The tool was not what was sold to us. The Goalsetting section in cultureamp was unable for the team as the tables always showed the oldest goals at the top and one needed to manually filter dates to see the currently active goals which meant people were not using it. During the Setup Phase and the conduction of quarterly feedback cycles, many bugs led to us having to find workarounds (e.g. the CEO could not see his feedback as it was only visible for the user's manager, or not being able to share feedback with the recipient directly). We highlighted these topics within the first month of using the tool, however, it took the organization ~8 month to get back to us and only when we stopped paying the bills due to the underperformance.

### "A Useful Workplace Tool"

Pros

At first I questioned why my company had yet another platform to learn. But now, seeing all the features and different ways Culture Amp supports employees and the company, I really appreciate the breadth and depth, and relative ease of use for employee interface objectives.

Cons

Every once in a while, I experience tremendous problems logging in - usually login is automatic, until it isn't. I've learned to go away for awhile then try again later. I suppose this could be when the system is down for maintenance, but the timing suggests maybe not. Notifications about system maintenance would be nice.
