Tracking contacts and donations and hopefully will expand more for e-blasts.

Pros

Easy to use and very user friendly. Screens are managed and viewed easily. Easy to enter and log information (like contacts, donations and so on)

Cons

Support (although very professional) only by email. Would prefer a phone support.

Keela is a learning experience. The Smart List features have been nice.

Pros

I like that it has a simple interface and is not super complicated. It is a great program for consolidating CRM information.

Cons

The notes are not separated out. It would be awesome to be able to save them individually by input date.

The software has been fairly easy to use and the staff have been friendly and quick to respond when I have needed it.

Pros

It's been fairly easy to setup our account and forms and easy to use.

Cons

We have yet to import the information from our previous software as the process isn't as easy. We have to extract it into a format and then import it but the extraction is making all the cells not in the same format and someone has to manually adjust it before we can import it and currently dont have the manpower to do so.

Reason for choosing Keela

the cost was reasonable considering as a non-profit we have less and less money to work with every year.

Pros

I am new to using systems like this, but it has been very user friendly. I love the different organizational tools that all make sense.

Cons

So far, I love it. The only thing I can think of is that the search function isn't always accurate. If I use the search function under contacts, then I have a much easier way of finding things.

I enjoy the ease of making lists and organizing volunteers into various tags. I love that there is an interaction option as well as e-blasts!

Pros

I like that you can group volunteers with tags which makes organization and making lists a lot easier. I also like that there is an interaction option as well as the further option to explain what type of interaction it was.

Cons

I wish you could do searches with more than one tag just for ease of organization and making lists/databases.

Keela helped me organize donor contact and their donations, making it a good program.

Pros

Very good for organizing categories and miscellaneous data, as well as being able to export the database. It is an important program for track donations.

Cons

You can only contact email support, it would be nice if you had a phone number or online chat to answer the calls.

Customer service via email ONLY is not ideal, speaking to someone live is always better especially when trying to navigate new territory. While our rep has been helpful, the time spent sending emails could be minimized.

Pros

I like the managment of donors and how easy keeping track of donations has become.

Cons

It doesn't have newsletter capabilities as constant contact does, which is the software we were using prior to Keela and we had to go back to it for some time.

While we definitely understand that on-demand phone support is preferable, we've made the decision to offer online-only support for now to help keep support in-house and affordable for our clients (it's included in your subscription for free). That said, if there's ever a support issue that we can't resolve easily via email, we're happy to schedule a call/screen share session to hash things out. :) Regarding newsletters, we do have many clients using our E-blast feature (https://keela.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/sections/115000790432-Using-E-blasts) to send regular newsletters. I'm happy to let you know we're also in the process of upgrading this feature to be easier to use and offer more template options. You can vote for this idea to be notified of updates here (https://keela.ideas.aha.io/ideas/KEE-I-8) - and please feel free to add your comments to this idea if there's anything we can do that would make sending newsletters from Keela easier.

My absolute favourite thing about Keela is the ease of use. It’s so simple and intuitive. I was able to start using it immediately on a moderate level without training.

Cons

I wish there were more event-related features, like auction tracking.

The worst I have every experience with software company's! They are con artists taking advantage of a non profits! PLEASE be careful! They are really nice and put on a great sale with their demos and offer you big discounts on a yearly price to get you to sign that day! I was dumb and trusting and now I'm paying the price!

Pros

I was sold on how easy it was to use and figure why not try for 2 weeks free! BIGGEST MISTAKE!!! THEY don't give you your money back!

Cons

They lied about everything that I was wanting the software to do and now for us to receive our money back we would have to thing we told them we were never going to use their software first. I would never let them touch our donations or near our website. Can't get anyone on the phone! And costumer service takes hours to get back to you and want you to go to webinars for help.

It is easy to use, helps me organize my contact and memberships

Cons

not very easy to customize my options... I would prefer to see my membership and other form on my dashboard then the current options. If you are not very computer literate, it is difficult to navigate, a couple of our board members cannot/will not use the program.

Keela support was outstanding! There are many videos and and instructions to navigate Keela if you are new. We were able to easily contact for help and we can always provide suggestions, which is wonderful. Overall, Keela is an excellent software for medium sized businesses.

Pros

I loved the layout of the Keela software. Logging in and moving around the software was easy, efficient, and effective. I particularly liked the organization of all the different features and how they were easy to find. Keela allows you to save time and organize different contacts in your organization with tagging.

Cons

Keela was generally excellent and exceeded my expectations. The only downside is that in order to increase contacts, you must increase the price, which is expected, however, it can get quite costly.

### "Highly Recommend for Donor Database Management!"

The business problems that we've been able to solve with Keela is finding an efficient in which we can store the information of all of our donor contacts. It has been great for that purpose and I would actually reccomend it to others as well.

Pros

I would highly reccomend Keela for donor database management. What I like most about this software is how when I create new contacts of donors, I am able to add certain tags, such as "Media," so that I have a way to filter across all my contacts. I think this is a really great feature that can come in handy if you're trying to target a specific group of people.

Cons

What I like least about this software is that for past donations, the highest limit is 50, which can be a little frustrating if you are trying to compile a full list of donations from a long range of time.

Working with Keela has been a positive experience overall. I am new to the CRM models and new to Keela, they videos and tutorials are great. The product fantastic, I still have a lot to learn. Help desk is timely and very friendly.

Pros

Learning almost every day about the depth of the product offerings. It is very comprehensive and intuitive.

Cons

While the help feature is timely and great, I would like to see live help as part of the basic product offering. Similar packages to our CRM models offer live help as a base price. Sometimes live voice is needed to solve a simpler problem that becomes misunderstood via email.

Keela was the absolute best answer for our growing non-profit. We looked at many other options and Keela provides the best value for the investment. We are very happy with Keela.

Pros

What I like most about the software is the ease os use and the ability to see if a receipt has been generated or not. That’s a huge help, especially when adding donations that aren’t able to be automatically added via Keela (like donations received via the mail).

Cons

Sometimes, reports and where to find information isn’t as intuitive as I would like, but then again, I didn’t create the program! That being said, the customer service is excellent and they have been able to direct me to exactly where I need to go. So it’s not a negative.

Overall, it's been a great experience and I would definitely recommend this as one of the best platforms I've seen out there for non-profits!

Pros

Super easy to use as a platform (especially compared to our previous, outdated, limited database). I like how easy it is to search, see high level info, and integrate with other platforms (e.g. mailchimp)

Cons

I think reporting and analytics still leave a bit to be desired. It's the only part of the platform that doesn't feel intuitive to me yet. I also think some basic reporting information is not available yet (e.g. if we want to pull 'first time donors' there is no easy way to do that).

Pros

I like the taskbar on the side of the page. I like how easy it is to use and how easy it is to teach others to use. I like that MailChimp is integrated into the system. I like how easy it is to go and change something if I made a mistake initially.

Cons

I do not like the process to generate reports off of Keela, it does not provide me with all of the information I require.

Pros

It is easy to work through. Very user friendly. I like that you can have different tags for volunteers from different programs. It has the ability to send out blast emails and add pictures etc. which is great.

Cons

It would be great if we can do multiple filters for when we need to pull specific statistics. There are areas of improvement in regards to different options available under "interactions"

Overall Keela has solved the problem we had of tracking donors for our non profit and giving us a place to compile information and share across our board. We use it to communicate with specific groups of donors, send tax records etc. it’s great for running campaigns and tracking donations as well.

Pros

I like the variety of functions that are available within the system. It’s very customizable once you’re comfortable using it.

Cons

There is a slight learning curve but customer support is very good!

On the whole, it has been good and the response time it nearly always immediate although one day it was very bad. On that day, we called in about the problem and it was fixed later on. This slowed my data entry work down by about an hour. So it took about 2.5 hours when I should have been able to do in 1.5.

Pros

I like the search capability on the contact page for the address. You put in the address and then Keela gives you a list of potential matches. It saves a lot of entry time.

Cons

It would be nice if certain fields (like the date on the donation entry page) followed the previous entry value. THis would save a lot of time when there are many donation to process. Probably the same with the impact area.
