Pros: Very useful for different usages and it almost can be integrated with any related system which has meaningful integration.

Cons: Both phone support and support center are there, however they don't seem to complete each other. Both needs improvement especially online support center.

This will be our first go-round with Neon, and we look forward to its ease of use.

Comments: The sales rep was very helpful, responsive and timely. We appreciated his attention to our many questions.

Pros: The feature that allows group registrations was the deciding factor for us. That feature sets Neon apart from other options we investigated.

Cons: Have not ventured that far into the product yet - just building our site now. Once we build our site, we will have some experience under our belt.

Used Neon as a customer and wanted that experience for our clients.

Comments: Team was very easy to work with and was quite patient in answering all our questions.

Pros: I found the registration process when registering for another festival to be quick and easy. The group registration answered our highest need.

Cons: Wish the group process could be streamlined. The ability to check a box and have the entire itinerary copied to all group members would be great.

Comments: Appreciate the sales dept was very professional. Followed up with me. Answered all my questions. Most of all, he was honest about what Neon could or couldn¿t do.

Pros: I am very excited about the potential Neon provides our organization not only to grow but also to be better at what we currently are doing.

Cons: I am not sure since we just signed up with Neon. Would really like to see Constant Contact integration soon.

Pros: Powerful and adaptable yet easy to use. Everything seems to flow together nicely. I like that everything is at your fingertips on the dashboard. The set up team was incredibly responsive and helped us with all the questions that we had.

Cons: Pay for what you get. The system is more expensive than the system we had previously but we are willing to trade that for the ease of use, data security, and team support.

Comments: My organization just started using NeonCRM, so I reserve a more thorough review until I have spent more time using the system.

Pros: This products seems to be very functional in multiple areas, as opposed to specializing too much in one area or another. It also has many useful integrations.

Cons: I wish that Neon offered phone support; but so far, I've been able to find anything I need in the online tutorials, so maybe it is not necessary.

Pros: Love the reporting system, the ease of tracking donors and the money they give and how fast you can track donations.

Cons: Having to merge accounts all the time. That is time consuming. I would like the program to capture same accounts by when their email and/or name matches without logging in.

Comments: Overall a great product and easy to learn. If you need a lot of very specific reporting, however, this may not be the one for you.

Pros: Seamlessly integrates event registration, social fundraising, online donations, volunteer scheduling, grant tracking and donor development all in one CRM.

Cons: Specific reports can be difficult to obtain. Trial and error to get the exact information you want. You also cannot create tickets for events-- registrants only receive email confirmations.

Pros: This is one of the easiest CRM platforms available. For someone unfamiliar with CRM and it's functions, this allows the user to manage their data with ease.

Cons: There are no cons with this software. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a useful and intuitive CRM platform.

Comments: Our consultant, gave us personal attention. This type of service is important to our organization. We want to talk to a human when we call for help, and that's what we got from NEON. He was on the ball and answered every question that I had honestly.

Pros: Excellent service staff Nothing out there gets you more bang for your buck. Seriously, we looked at six CRM programs. User friendly

Cons: None yet. Personally, I don't foresee any problems. We had a great one on one tutorial/demo with Neon AND we got to use a demo version of the CRM to see if it was really what we needed.

I have only been through the buying process thus far, and have yet to implement the CRM.

Comments: One of the rep has been a total professional and a big help in our evaluation of Neon in our purchasing process. Again, we have yet to implement and have only now conducted a purchase agreement. I hope to have a more robust endorsement three months from now.

Pros: We liked that we are able to drill down in our customization through the custom object. We are hoping to track multiple levels of our client, donor and volunteer management.

Cons: I'm sure I will have some once implementation has begun. As of right now though, Neon has the benefit of the doubt!

Comments: I haven't messed with the membership management side of the software yet, so I can't speak to that and definitely will be exploring that for future clients.

Pros: NeonCRM has great people working there. I have found them to be universally helpful and friendly. Neon integrates with QuickBooks Online - well - and is priced at a point most smaller organizations can probably afford. Plus, they recently launched NeonOne, which doesn't carry a monthly subscription cost. Instead you just pay per donation. The fee is a little steeper than things like PayPal, but to really small organizations, I feel like this is a much needed service (since it's not just a way to get paid, it's a way to organize everyone giving you money). During my product walk through, the rep I spoke with had an answer for every question I had both about tracking donors and about the accounting integration side. He was obviously passionate about the product and super knowledgeable about both fundraising and accounting, so he understood what people needed out of a CRM. I was really impressed.

Cons: This software is seriously good. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to just about anybody who works in the nonprofit world, if you can handle the per month fee.

Pros: Managing everything from client/donor contacts to events is so much easier than it was with our old CRM. The dashboard is user-friendly and the menu items are intuitive, but if we have questions, the online knowledge database has videos that walk us through everything.

Cons: No problems yet. Data import was fairly straightforward. We still haven't tried out all of the options available, but found using Neon for event registration to be easy.

Pros: Works smoothly for most features and manages data with relative ease. The process for sending emails to constituents works very well - and the reporting features are terrific.

Cons: Could have better management of volunteer records. I wanted to be able to create individual page for volunteer projects, but unfortunately they are all lumped together, which has presented challenges with gathering all necessary information.

Pros: My media group uses Neon for registrations and payment functions, memberships, emails about events, and for some accounting/reporting purposes.

Cons: Neon is so robust, I am sure that I may be underutilizing it! But they have great training and support.

Comments: The support staff are always very helpful.

Pros: The ability to upload our own templates and our own CSS to forms and surveys gives us a lot of control over look and feel.

Cons: The linkage between signing up for an event and registering as a social fundraiser for the event is still pretty clunky.

Comments: Fantastic sales and training reps, very robust product and the people who designed it and work with you know fundraising and the particular needs that come with the field

Pros: I love it's easy to use interface, how linked everything is, the ability to track prospective gifts and how it seamlessly interfaces with our website. Also, that online donations automatically get batched to the user's account.

Cons: there are a few quirks on limitations with reporting and social fundraising but they are totally things you can work with to get creative.

Comments: I favor this program over several others I have tried in the past.

Pros: I really love how user-friendly the program is. Most of it is very intuitive and when it isn't, it's easy to look up the answer on how to do things., I have not had to call them for support as I can find everything I need in the online support.

Cons: It takes a lot of time to set up, but once it is, it is quick and easy to use. Other than that, I have had no issues.

Pros: Having records of correspondence on member profiles makes it easy for any employee to see who has been contacted and why so no duplicate correspondence goes out.

Cons: Renewals are dated with current month even if they should be the previous month. This requires an employee having to change.

Just on boarding now, but so far so good.

Pros: The people behind the product will help you in literally any way possible. Their product output is high quality.

Comments: Neon is great for small to mid sized non profits, but once companies get too large I can see it becoming slightly more challenging to maintain business processes with. This is my perspective, but being that we have not grown to that size yet, I don't know whether my thoughts are true or not.

Pros: Everything regarding our stakeholders in one place ability to track our donations, and even receive donations through the platform

Pros: The cost for the product. And the add-on features/ability to connect with other platforms like MailChimp.

Cons: It's not as user-friendly as I would like, but I think after a full training, I will be able to say differently. The data-transfer process is also a difficult one.

Pros: Neon is very helpful at making sure all donor data is in one spot. It makes contact information easy to find.

Cons: I don¿t think there are many cons. It can sometimes be difficult to keep Neon updated so that the info is accurate.

Comments: Great value!

Pros: Affordable. Offer peer to peer fundraising platform, donation integration right into the database. Offer Mobile friendly donation forms, which is a plus.

Cons: Back end od the system is a bit clunky and not intuitive. Email and letter templates are hard to set up.

Comments: Scott was extremely helpful through our trial. He even extended our trial an additional 30 days to allow our entire team to get comfortable with NEON.

Pros: It seems like NEON can do everything- event registration, volunteer management, donor tracking. The systems settings home page has everything you need to customize the front facing forms and back end for system users.

Cons: The systems settings page has everything you need... but it is also a little overwhelming at first. After watching all the intro videos I have a better grasp on how to use all the features. I tend to get lost in the systems page because it takes so many clicks to get to the page I was searching for.

Pros: Love the ease of the import feature. Impressed with depth of reports I can create with ease Can¿t say enough about being able to access it from anywhere. Love NEON focuses on their one product and they are not pulled to work on various products

Pros: - Customer Service and Tech Support are helpful, responsive, friendly, and have addressed my concerns as well as pointed me to resources and set up extra training to make sure I get the answers I am seeking! - I love the reports functionality! You can customize your own to get whatever info you need, or you can run some of the common ones the system has pre-formatted for you. Super easy and helpful. - Managing and avoiding duplicates is really well addressed in this system. Since switching to Neon, I've been able to quickly address our pre-existing duplicates and to greatly reduce the number of new duplicates being created.

Cons: - The interface can be clunky in certain places (especially editing forms/system letters), and sometimes this leads to a lot of tedious work to make something look the way I need it to. That said, Neon says they're currently working on a fix for this particular issue.

Comments: Lots of great add-on features if you are interested but basics is already and incredible deal. AND they count 'contacts' as people that you have a profile not (does not include email lists with just names and email addresses).

Pros: Can integrate lots of features seamlessly. Focuses on key metrics of donor engagement including retention.

Cons: A bit hard to figure out and navigate at first. Lots of fields to fill out but not maybe too much information. Importing is a bit tricky

Comments: Neon is great. I love their staff and it is the best system out there that is affordable and cost-effective.

Pros: Neon is great! It has lots of features, it's easy to use, you can have unlimited users, and tons of functions the whole agency can use.

Cons: Neon is great and doesn't have many cons, however, the designs could look nicer. Although, I'm not sure if we could be able to maximize that since we have a small staff.

Comments: I worked with one of the customer rep and he was a pleasure to work with. Our purchase timeline was painfully slow (on our end) and he never lost patience or was pushy. He listened to what we needed and didn't try to sell us more than that.

Pros: The integrative system allows for streamlining data from 6 sources into 1. When updating the info, it allows for less mistakes since the data only needs to be corrected in one place. The data options are endless. The data is presented cleanly and entering is fairly intuitive. I think this system is easier to use than the one we replaced (and used for 4 years so I was familiar with it). The packages are easy to compare and have useful additions (for some people), but are not required.

Cons: We didn't switch over soon enough. The thought of no phone and chat support is intimidating when first switching systems. After a month or so, I wouldn't think about it.

Pros: This product seems to have the features that small- to mid-sized nonprofits need. It is well-designed. The help is really well-written and it is easy to find what you want. Comments: Overall good experience, and the staff has always been kind, helpful, and responsive.

Pros: I love the membership and event management systems, and how easy it is to integrate with MailChimp. The price point is great for my small nonprofit.

Cons: I do not like the forms, even when customized. The buttons, fields, and fonts seem outdated. Also, creating custom forms is difficult. You have to switch back and forth between the Forms & Pages Section and the System Setting section, and as a non-tech guy at my small and scrappy non profit, I constantly forget where everything is and how to change things. The system should be designed for the "lay" user, especially for a database that is accessible to small non profits, who most likely don't have the money to hire a full time tech or database manager, but divide responsibilities between the ED, fundraising, and program staff.

Pros: Easy to use. Amazing customer service that is quick to respond. They have a web portal you can submit a problem through and they respond or fix it immediately.

Does a great job managing members.

Cons: Data collected from forms is near impossible to work with and you can't share it with your team. It is not collected in an easy to view format, rather a spreadsheet that includes ALL account data for the person responding the the survey. Each time you want to look at the results you have to download a new report and reformat.

There is no way to limit an event to paid members. You must offer a "default" ticket that anyone can purchase.

Website user have to login each time they go to an area of your website that is for members only. Neon sells a custom plugin called Single Sign-On to correct this problem for an additional money. Without it, users get stuck in a cycle of logging in and not redirected to the page they were trying to access. Every time you log in you is taken to a member dashboard instead.

A powerful system (perhaps more powerful than most small organizations need)

Comments: Overall, a great system which I'm glad we found. We tried a few others to manage our 3 levels of membership, and none of them lived up to the sales pitch. NeonCRM has so far.

Pros: It can do a lot in terms of membership: Allow new members to join, current and expired members to renew, membership discounts, etc. It's quite affordable, too, and the customer support seems solid so far.

Cons: Running reports can be difficult because there are so many possible data fields that a member can have. I've had considerable difficulty, for example, finding members who signed up--who didn't renew and weren't past members--between certain dates. It's probably just one or two fields in the report that I haven't included, but it's quite frustrating. And though the online help center has a lot of content, I've had to contact support several times because I couldn't find what I was looking for online. We set up our system in about a week and a half--significantly faster than the recommended timeframe. I have considerable experience with CRMs, and most small organizations would likely have substantial difficulty setting this up themselves. Most organizations will likely want to work closely with Neon to launch their system to its fullest potential.

Pros: Great support getting into the system. I am still new to the system, and being the point person to bring this new system to my organization, I appreciate how intuitive it is to learn my way through the Neon way.

Cons: What I don't know how to do yet! I am finding the training videos are super when I take the time to use them. I still am finding that I need more details, and that I have to own training everyone in my organization to fully utilize Neon's features here. I am going to opt for the monthly on-screen training so that I can engage my team in the system. I suggest that Neon consider building an 8 hour team training component into the annual contract.

Comments: This service is priced so low that it is doable by us (200 member organization) and this is even more true when combined with World Pay.

Pros: Neon provides excellent member data in a detailed and usable format. We have benefited often from easy data retrieval. Also, initial learning was extremely helpful.

Cons: The report writing takes a bit of a learning curve with respect to defining parameters. Also, we have found that editing system emails is a little awkward.

Neon CRM has totally advanced our donors' ability to donate online on their own and maintain their own account as well as automate their recurring donations.

Comments: I highly recommend using NeonCRM to anyone that is looking for a new CRM system!

Pros: I love that any time I run into an issue, customer support is readily available and it is so easy to type into a search engine and get the answer. The video tutorials are easy to understand and follow. Neon has really taken our organization to another level.

Cons: The only criticism I have is that there are so many functions and ways to integrate with other systems (Survey monkey, QuickBooks, etc) that it can be a little overwhelming at times administrating the whole thing.

Comments: I have actually used Neon CRM in two very different nonprofits. One was previously using eTapestry and we switched because of the greater flexibility offered by Neon. That organization received much of its funding from individuals and was focused on one main program. The second was a transportation think tank that had no previous CRM system and received much of its funding through memberships. In both cases, I have found the system to work well and meet the needs of two very different organizations.

Pros: The interface is easy to use, very similar to comparable CRM systems in terms of flexibility and customization, but built for fundraising. The customization, in particular, is easy to understand and flexible enough to work for a variety of applications in a variety of nonprofits. I like the automation features as well, such as with donation appreciation and membership renewal reminders.

Cons: The single log on functionality and link with Wordpress needs to be further developed, I think. Sometimes the integrations with other systems, like MailChimp, are not as robust as I would like.

Comments: This is a great product for nonprofit organizations that are switching database companies and trying to streamline their donor information.

Pros: I love the ease of use, the staff support and the ability to navigate the system easily. I have found the team helpful and quick to respond to my questions and concerns.

Cons: I am doing all of the importing myself so I am on a steep learning curve which can make it seem like the process won't end, however it is a cost saving for our nonprofit company so it has been a benefit that this is one of the options.

Comments: Overall, this is a great product and our organization has even grabbed the attention of our partners and they are looking at converting over to NEON themselves.

Pros: The ability to target emails and run reports around specific audiences with basic formatting helps us to get our information out in a quick and easy manner, especially when you can schedule things ahead of time!

Comments: I love the app but wished it was a little more robust. I would like to be able to see my notes on my phone as well as the contact information but in general this has been a game changer in my office!

Pros: I love having all our data in one place! Also having an app that allows me to get contact information after hours is extremely helpful as well.

Cons: This product is more geared towards fundraising tracking and working with individuals. I am recruiting and have been able to adapt most of neon to fit my needs but wished there was a way to put people into teams a little easier to manipulate. I can do reports to get teams of information so that is my work around.

Pros: A good price for the software. There are many features and compared to other software, you definitely get a lot for your money.

Cons: Limited in features, for example, the store discounts you can only use what is offered, there are not many other options. I also don't feel like there is room to customize it in any area. Comments: They are quick to answer questions & really listen to comments. It's so easy to get informative reports & has helped us to make better connections with members & grow our donor base!

Pros: Consolidates all our contacts in one plave, irs super easy to create categories, and the automated correspondence is "da bomb"! Great tutorials & the customer service is amazing; I don't feel like a number. Even though we've had Neon for over a year, we're still being treated like kings.

Cons: Can be a bit if a learning curve to make use of all the options... good news is the tutorials are fantastic. Kinda wish the integration with MailChimp was a bit more intuitive.

Pros: It makes searching and pulling reports somewhat simple so that I, a somewhat technologically inept individual, and my board members can pull reports when our Development Coordinator in unavailable. The dashboards are simple and clear. It makes looking at an individuals history easy and help to show relevancy between recents attendance and donations. And they provide VERY HELPFUL webinars!

Cons: It is very time consuming and tedious to watch all the training videos and very expensive to get training. For an organization as small as ours with our low budget that can make it difficult to use NeonCRM to it's fullest potential

Comments: I'm receiving many compliments from alumni about the system. I'm receiving new donations through the online event forms that incorporate an opportunity to donate when purchasing a ticket.

Pros: Fundraising tools, multiple membership levels, membership directory with photos, event management, e-communication tools , templates, reports, volunteer and committee tracking, system emails, system letters, forms, surveys, multiple payment gateways, campaigns, integrates with QuickBooks, MailChimp, and more!

Cons: Takes a while to learn how it works to take fully advantage of all of the features. Membership Directory needs a facelift. Selecting addresses for printing labels is tricky.

Comments: Overall we would not hesitate to recommend the NeonCRM software package to any non-profit organization. Neon is available online from anywhere and is extremely reliable. Neon has partnered with other software solutions like QuickBooks, EventBrite and Survey Monkey. The package is reasonably priced and customer service is top-notch.

Pros: Full package offers all the options we need to organize and run our non-profit arts and education center. We need events for our performances and classes, donations are the core of our existence, the membership model is adaptable to our pass holders and we can track custom data about our patrons. The reporting feature is robust and works with Excel and Word. Neon integrates with our website and merchant account seamlessly.

Cons: It's hard to come up with many cons but the built in calendar needs upgrading to a more modern look. Some of the account fields are not available on all reports and past events need to be archived individually rather than in a bulk procedure.

Pros: There are many features- particularly the qualified lists you can generate and export - that make volunteer management much easier. The ability to assign tasks is also helpful.

Cons: The tool is very cumbersome to navigate for new users. It would be beneficial to allow user to customize options and menu items to simplify navigation.

Comments: As a smaller nonprofit, it has been manageable to deal with our data, but I think if we had a bigger database, implementation would've been hard to manage

Pros: -We purchased a website from Neon as well as the CRM, so we like that everything is integrated and that our forms are branded with the website -Easy data entry -Relatively easy import manager -Manage duplicates easily -Reporting is relatively strong

Cons: - I wish the implementation team worked more with me on best practices on using the system (how to properly track prospects, how to deal with event RSVPs) -I didn't find the Webinar series that comes with implementation very helpful - I thought it brought up more questions -Not having the Live Chat feature makes work sometimes slow because I have to wait for my ticket to be responded to -Dealing with email audiences can be difficult given the searches, can end up in a lot of data entry and when you export the email audience you can't get all the info from the constituent which makes it hard to sort

Comments: Since we adopted Neon this Spring, our organization's approach to data collection and historical information has completely revolutionized. Now, we do not have to reinvent the wheel every year. I am responsible the maintenance of the account and report creation and I could not be more pleased.

Pros: I love that Neon allows for a great deal of customization in the account fields. As an organization, we have lots of specific information that we are tracking and Neon allows for this to easily be drawn into reports. Customer service is incredibly responsive and helpful. Each new update is a pleasant surprise because I have found that they significantly increase the usability of the program. The relationship function allows us to track the connections that are so crucial to our development process. The event-building page was exactly what we needed and allowed us to build out a 500-person luncheon.

Cons: Neon does not allow us to draw reports focused on the relationships between our constituents which would be very useful. Neon does not have a great selection of newsletter or email templates. Additionally, we have found that emails from Neon consistently go to spam. I wish that it was possible to transfer information from custom surveys to account custom fields. Same with event information.

Pros: While researching a new CRM for our organization, we liked that NeonCRM included features like Quickbooks integration, MailChimp integration, custom forms etc.

Cons: They really don't do well to inform you how little is available at the entry price. Every integration they showcase and even the ability to create custom forms comes with an additional monthly fee which also increases when your contacts increase beyond your current pricing tier. Our biggest issue is that PayPal discounts are not recorded, so when you push your donation transactions over to Quickbooks, you have to manually edit all of those sales receipts to include the discount from PayPal. Also, any recurring monthly donors in PayPal will have to give their credit card information again in the new Neon process which could run the risk of losing donors. Overall it has not delivered up to our expectations and for a smaller organization, it would be very costly to have all the features. Customer service comes at a fee and that is not even available until after you purchase the setup call and until you've been a customer for at least six months. Meanwhile, the online support largely results in waiting for hours and then them referring you to a guide you've likely already read. Massively frustrated with this system and it has taken us forever to get it up and running, which has proven to be a waste of time anyway because it can't do what we'd like it to, or at least not without an additional fee.

Good basic CRM database with fundraising features.

Comments: This is our first experience with a CRM program, and so far we are very pleased with the customer support and program. We did not have the funds to have NeonCRM import our constituents for us, so we are adding them manually. It would have been nice to have someone walk us through the best way to set up our database, but we completely understand why that's an additional cost. There is a learning curve (of course), but we get it figured out soon enough!

Pros: -Detailed tutorials to get you started -The dashboard/ interface is well organized and easy on the eyes -Lots of functions (fundraising, memberships, store, volunteering, forms, etc)

Comments: We have a number of IT professionals on our board and active as volunteers in our NFP, but I suspect that less sophisticated users would struggle to accomplish some tasks that ought to be more intuitive. On the other hand, the software is very versatile and allows for a high level of functionality for a pretty reasonable price.

Pros: The functionality is pretty straightforward in NeonCRM. We are able to figure out pretty quickly how to accomplish what we need to do.

Cons: Some menu trees are not as intuitive as they ought to be. The Fundraising menu, for instance, does not make it easy to figure out how to create acknowledgement letters to donors. This is a very basic function that most not-for-profits are likely to need.

Comments: I originally looked at NEON almost a year ago. I ended up skipping over them as I made the assumption that we couldn't afford it as a small Not For Profit. I was wrong... very affordable and exactly what we needed.

Pros: Robust options, really easy to use, powerful, straightforward user experience, and the site looks good too!

Cons: So many options and capabilities that I am afraid I may not be able or know how to use the system to its capabilities. Thankfully, they have training for that!
