We evaluated several other preschool management applications, but all fell short in our biggest pain points - billing, enrollment, and forms. Gone are the days of the enrollment spreadsheet and tuition workbook. Teachers even know to simply look in Jovial for their latest rosters, and love watching the dashboard circles fill in as enrollment moves along. As those students are being placed into classes, billing is automatically being updated for each family - it's a treasurer's dream! Jovial has the most robust billing solution of any preschool software we evaluated. Forms have also been recently re-designed offering new levels of functionality to collect and track where families are in completing all the necessary steps to be ready to co-op in the classroom. In addition to these pain points being resolved, there are other things you get right out of the box that is only in the co-op preschool world like having a field for the Family Job, space to track allergies so co-oping parents can be alert and aware, and support for multiple enrollments in classes like Lunch Bunch. Choose Jovially - you'll be happy you did! Cons Jovial is so attuned to the co-op preschool needs we wish they had a communication platform as well (which I understand is on the roadmap), but we have found families are perfectly content (and possibly even feel more secure) having their billing, forms, and personal details in the Jovial secure portal and using other solutions for communication. That being said, we wouldn't trade the robust features of Jovial for a single solution generic preschool tool. We were using 3 programs to hold contact info, registration forms, and billing statements. From a registrar perspective it has saved dozens of hours shifting through forms and paperwork. Families have a clearer view of what they owe and because of that we have less booking keeping errors to fix. Cons The program is not quite a catch all yet. We still have to use different services for email and a calendar. There are also small details I would like to add or customize for our school specifically, but are unable to due to limitations of the program.
