Pros It makes server administration as simple as pressing buttons by implementing an extremely simple user interface. Even beginners can make edits to the server. Cons As someone who enjoys more finer tuned control (read: ssh access) plesk is far too simplistic for me and I often feel frustrated when I'm working on our legacy servers. Everything works smoothly, quickly and comfortably. We've tried other hosting boards, but none is equal to this. Cons Some modules are paid and depend on the plan. Prices are not small. Pros I like the ease of creating email addresses and also the ability to have the emails forwarded to different email addresses that I only have access to. Works great in my small business! Cons Not much to dislike about this unique software. If I had to mention a con, it would be the limited number of email address your can create. The support is good but not excellent. Once you get an assigned rep, they do respond fairly quickly. It's getting that initial contact that may be a bit delayed. Cons The cost is a bit high. Faster initial support responses would be better. Pros We migrated to plesk so we could automate several manual tasks related to a mail server and it has exceeded our expectations. After the initial configuration there has been minimal maintenance required to keep things running. Would highly recommend over the other options. Cons There is a bit of a learning curve at first if you are not familiar with products like this but once you get the feel for where things are at it's pretty straightforward. I have many dedicated servers and I'm using a Plesk on all of them Pros Competitive Price WordPress Tools Ease of Use Customer Service Cons the migration tools need a lot of care and new development, especially when migrating from cPanel to Plesk. I have to pay for many important addons and I believe it should be part of Plesk features but not to pay extra for it. For example, I'm in the system constantly checking out the logs and database. Albeit, we can do this via command prompt, but with the gui interface and layout, the tools are easy to find. The server can be daunting, but I'm glad that a software like Plesk is around to help us navigate through the difficulties of it all. Pros i use plesk web SE edition for about 4 years and never lookback for alternative, after some running free trial on obsidian, surprisely i'm very recommended about the UI/US File Manager feature, its more better than competitor like cPanel. Everything that i wanted to see and functionality has been there, and also it's very recommended to new user that never use any of file manager interface in several plesk edition. Cons Documentation of the product still minimum, i'm understand this product kind new to the public. Pros Found it easy to deploy, GUI is easy to navigate with a bit of a look around and I like that you can brand it with your own logos. Cons Some functions like scheduling could do with more functionality and setting up monitoring was a little difficult.
