Pros

Account Ability makes preparing 1099s so easy. The phone support is top-notch and they have always solved any problem I encountered, even if it was not software related, but with the system as a whole. Kudos!

Cons

Correction clients are tricky, but phone support has always been able to help

Whenever I have had a question, they are there to walk me through the answer. We have done screen sharing in some cases, which has been very helpful. I only use this once a year to transmit. They are happy to give me a refresher if I need it!

Pros

The product is great. The customer services is excellent! We have used their software for over 15 years. Highly recommend!

Cons

I have had no negative experiences with Account Ability.

The experience was the greatest experience. Even when I call for technical support, the response was immediate. The men were thorough, educational, and patient.

Pros

I have never had a company with such knowledge and technical support team so thoughtful. Even in the busiest time of the year, the young men gave me all the time I needed to assist me and never got off of the phone until I was satisfied

Cons

There was nothing that I didn't like about Account Ability

My overall experience with Account Ability is very positive. It's professional, accurate, and flawlessly rolls forward each year.

Pros

I like the ease of downloading and the security of the authentication process.

Cons

What I like least is the wait time between receiving the temporary password and downloading information by email and then having to wait for the permanent password to arrive by snail mail.

I like the fact that I can tell Account Ability what I need done and they automatically know what needs to be done within an hour or less. If you screwed up, they might tell you, you didn't and help you understand what needs to be done next. They walk through the process and yes, it is complicated, but I know I can depend on Accountability for their support.

Pros

I like the fact that you can email tech support through the software and immediately within a day, I receive call back right away.

Cons

I think the only con is waiting for a call back and making sure you have the correct contact phone number. Other than that, you can depend on a return call because their support is efficient.

From the ordering to the customer service they have always gone above and beyond. I know I can always call and ask for help and someone is there to walk me through what is needed. No matter how many changes the IRS throws out there, Account Ability always has your back

Pros

Dependable. I can always count on it to be correct, and support to be helpful

Cons

My only con has nothing to do with the system!! I only use it once a year so I have to re familiarize myself with it each year. But that is no fault of the system.

Account Ability is easy to use and has an amazing and helpful support team.

Cons

If the file submission process with the control sheets could be somehow put within the software instead of through email, it would make me feel more secure about the submission.

I've been using Account Ability for 17 years. We are a small not for profit and Account Ability allows us to efficiently process 1099's and W-2's, create electronic files for the Social Security Administration and IRS. I love the direct connection that has all of our information needed to login to the IRS.

Pros

The people who work at Account Ability. They provide outstanding customer service.

Cons

There is nothing I don't like about Account Ability.

We have been using this company for over 10 yrs, I have yet to have an actual bad experience

Pros

When I need the help, I receive in a timely manner. Additionally, one gentleman has helped me year after year and always remembers me.

Cons

The only downside I’m aware of is when calling in and being “ added to the list “ for customer service to contact you back there is no estimated wait time, your 25th in line etc.

It was fast easy and they were super helpful to setup our electronic filing which was a very involved process to get it all setup properly to file these electronically. Thank goodness they were there to walk us through everything.

Pros

Ease of use, \[sensitive content hidden\] is great to work with. They have excellent customer service, and they work with you for all steps to file electronically and print the W2's. It was an awesome experience for a complicated project to setup.

Cons

Cost, of course is what we least like about it. Otherwise the program itself is great! No complaints there.

Except for the above Con, I have found Account Ability very easy to use and create an acceptable efile for IRS and State.

Pros

Easy to use. The Help function has made it very easy to setup for our 1099 needs.

Cons

I wish that it would remember the information associated with an EIN # and auto fill. I may have a customer with 2-5 form 1099S in a given year but I have to put the name address in each time. I should be able to put in the EIN # and the name, address auto fill after putting in the first one.

My only con would be the user friendly of the software. I feel the software can be a tricky to navigate.

I like the roll over feature and the new feature where you can select one 1099 to print
