I'm hoping to see what more I can do and learn and also how to get alerts when we receive support so as to prevent a delay in thanking our supporters. I chose Donately as a way for my sponsors to donate online because it was easy and straight forward about the admin fee. It has been a great site that continues to become even more user friendly. I liked that I didn't have to use paypal any longer as I did not agree with their politics. I also liked that using donately on the website was easy and self-explanatory. July 16, 2017 5.0 Pros It's easy to implement a great looking donation form. Most features we needed were included out of the box, and we were able to customize other functions with help from support to get exactly what we wanted. Customer support is just outstanding! Cons It would be great to have more options built into the form editor. I think this will happen with time; the development team seems to be working on improvements consistently. Their team has listened to our advice along the way and made changes to their backend based off our feedback. When comparing to other organizations that provide similar services, Donate.ly is more expensive and does not provide anything above and beyond what we can get elsewhere. 5% is a large chunk, but we understand why you need to charge these fee's. We haven't really utilized that feature yet but hopefully will in the future. Other than that, the setup isn't much different from Anedot but it is more expensive. It's pretty user friendly. Donately was a natural fit since we already had a Stripe account. I could see the system being confusing for someone who was not previously familiar with Stripe. Although its a little hard to navigate to the get the reports you want but they are there. Often have to go back and forth between the processor's interface and Donately to get all the information needed for accounting. Pros Easy to interface with our website. There's an easy enough set up for this, and while it has a 4% fee, it allows us to get up and running without that front end investment in a long term commitment.
