I like that if I have any issues, I just log a query or call and I always get fast response and resolutions very easily. Cons I haven't found anything that I do not like, its easy to use, logical and does the job of invoices and bank reconcilaition that I need. Pros I like that rekon is so clear and easy to understand. the support staff and easy to contact and always happy to help. Cons Because we have used rekon for a long time we have a large file and we found it sometimes quite slow to load. October 18, 2025 5.0 Other than the inability to add Reference Codes to invoices via the app, I find working on Reckon to be a joy and very intuitive. Any questions and I can chat with highly trained staff who can help me, on the spot, with any queries. Your business is lacking without Reckon. Pros The security on Reckon is top notch. Not only do you need your 6 code verification code, sent to your chosen number, but also the passcode for your machine, stopping anyone from accessing your businesses account. Creating Financial reports, BAS, etc, are easy and smooth. It is definitely excellent value for money. Being able to see your business financial health, live, is a huge help in purchasing goods for the services we provide. If you've had any experience with MYOB or Xero, you'll find this seamless. On start up you do have tutorials that help you learn how to use it and also online help with the staff at Reckon. Cons It would be great if we could input a Reference Code on Invoices on the App. Currently there is no away to do this, so I have to bring out the laptop in order to enter reference codes on the invoices I send out. Director Information Technology and Services Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Excellent Product, Superior Customer Service and Customer Support" May 25, 2026 5.0 My overall experience is one where I wished I had found them earlier - I can now process pays in half the time. Most importantly is the Cusomer Service it is excellent; they never forget that I am a person and I am treated as a customer of value. Pros I have recently started using Reckon One Payroll, what I liked was the superior Customer Service, I have chosen the product for 2 companies whose Payroll I do; each time I was personally phoned to welcome me and ask if I needed assistance; this made me feel valued from the start. The first time I ran a Pay Run I had difficulty with Pay Day Super and Superstream, I called Customer Support and this is where Reckon one has a differentiator; they calmly led me through the process and ensured I was comfortable. When I made a mistake next pay run, again I called and again the Customer Service were calm professional and helped me. Apart from that the product is very easy to use with a short learning curve as it is very intuitive and flows. it is extremely good value for money and in the complex legislative world for small businesses perfect. Cons I found the Pay Day Superannuation hard to follow and needed help. The User manual was not as clear as I would have liked - needs some examples. Reliable and I've been using it for years now. Very happy with it. I wouldn't mind some more search functionality, and maybe a cheaper tier that only creates, sends and stores invoices as that's all I really need. Pros I use it almost exclusively for invoicing and it's great at that. The price is pretty good too. I also use the financial reports to check my income over quarterly periods. Cons I would love to be able to search invoices by customer, the lack of this function is pretty annoying. Pros The ease with which I could make the transition from the computer based Accounts software to the cloud based Reckon One software. The really helpful support from Reckon was very good! Cons The fact that I couldn’t change the financial year of the company myself. The Book was set up by Reckon assuming the standard financial year. That book had to be cancelled and another created with my actual financial year and migration started all over again. The process took twice as long as it should have! I am a 30 year plus chartered accountant veteran. Reckon was one of the first to provide point, click and it would take you to the transaction or produce a report, it was intuitive, even for someone without too many IT skills or a small amount of accounting knowledge. These guys are the small It company providing service at levels above the mega IT accounting firms. Its personable, something unique in our changing world. Cons Its a "Con" and or also a "Pro" depending on your position ..... the system has not had a major overhaul in a long time ..... it looks a little dated. Reckon One has been a good experience in keeping our business and personal financials running smoothly. Pros Reckon One is a product that is designed for what I need in an accounting package and it is also a continuation of what I used in classes at the local Polytechnic. It is familiar to me and comfortable and the support service is ideal whenever needed. Cons Only one thing comes to mind that I like least, which is that as my years progress, my on-screen vision has suffered, and sometimes I prefer a larger font in some reports. I have tried the "Ask a question" option and don't always get an easy answer. Cons Only that each upgrade makes it a nuisance to have to relearn things - but that is just because I prefer to work with - if it is not broken dont fix it.
