Pros: plenty of features that captures alot of CRM required functions. Has mobile and web versions for mobile sales team.

Cons: customer support limited. The program is outdated, maybe more newer versions available that sync better with other software.

Overall: The more information you put in, the more information you can get out. Got a heap of benefits including excellent reporting but took alot of work to get business to change processes to input more data.

Comments: It really is a solid CRM, and did well keeping the entire company apprised of the situation. It handles B2B and B2C with ease, and made it very easy to keep tabs on our clients. If it integrated with other critical apps, automated marketing tasks, and had a stronger customer service tool, we'd still be using it today.

Pros: I really liked the User definable setup, and the hierarchy between contacts and companies. I also liked how every user defined value got it's own view in SQL, so it was very easy to extract data into other systems using the database. It's very familiar to office users, and performed really well, even with 90,000 contacts/companies in it. It's a solid CRM, as long as that's all you need.

Cons: It didn't integrate well with other applications. We use Google Apps, and Quickbooks, which are pretty common. But it wouldn't integrate with either, and was going to cost $8-10k in order to write each integration. The customer service case manager was minimalist, so it was simple to use, but didn't allow for a conversation to happen (eg I couldn't tell how much back and forth happened during a customer service case, or if the customer had updated information on the case). The email generation tool was primitive, and only allowed for basic, ugly html. Any advanced formatting, or click tracking common to things like MailChimp weren't available. There wasn't any marketing automation to speak of, and there wasn't any automated lead scoring. Everything had to be done by hand, and unfortunately humans aren't reliable.

I have used Maximizer for 0ver 24 years and wouldn't use any other CRM

Pros: I like the way I can view and sort my contacts and have several databases for various customer types. I use it for mailings a lot and it is so easy to print one label or several hundred.

Cons: I have the last disc version that I know of that is stored on my computer, the cloud version is far out of my price range.

Comments: Was having problems while handling huge picklist in web version, but excellent customer support

Pros: Simple to use, Easy to Install, User friendly, Flexible - the user defined fields are not limited and can be easily added, modified and deleted. Has taken care of all the business process possibilities.

Cons: Slow in handling huge data, decision to stop Desktop version without replicating all the advantages specially, data entry, should be reconsidered.

Comments: I am new to any CRM software. I have found Maximizer to be powerful and intuitive to use. l love the many functions readily available, without having to purchase each function as many of the other CRM's that I've researched. The staff and training are excellent with video tutorials to supplement and refresh training.

Pros: Intuitive and easy to navigate. User defined fields are easy to set up. Training is excellent, professional and readily available via scheduled webinar or via video. Excellent value for the cost. Powerful - will do all that I need for marketing and sales, plus more.

Cons: Interface with MSOutlook on Windows10 has not allowed integration on network workstations.

Recommendations to other buyers: Try the free trial - You'll like what you see.

Comments: I have been using Maximizer for many years now. I have incorporated it in the sales and service teams several of the companies I have worked for. The program is easy to use and the fact that it easily integrates with Outlook and other e-mail programs, helps early user adoption. We actively track all our interactions with the various end-users we have as well as our reps and distributors on a worldwide basis.

Pros: Easy to use and very intuitive. Has most features/modules needed for tracking projects and the sales pipeline.

Cons: Could benefit from a integrated quoting/part configurator program.

Recommendations to other buyers: I strongly recommend Maximizer CRM. The company is continuously improving their software and is very responsive to user input and requests.

Comments: I enjoy how it is easy to use and navigate. You are able to specify and tailor everything to your customized needs. You are able to select what you want viable and what you want to be implemented. There is also easy to use the filing system that allows the reduction of paper files. There is a learning curve involved when you first start using it but once you work past that it is easy to use and figure out new features. I would recommend this product for small to medium size companies. They also have great customer support if you ever have any problems or questions, they will also assist you in tailoring the program to your company's needs. There are training videos available to assist in the learning process that I found extremely helpful when starting to use Maximizer CRM live.

Comments: Our company has used Maximizer since 1998. We use it to track Trade Show Leads / Opportunities / Sales. Maximizer ease of use makes training minimal. We use the 2016R2 Web Portal and the phone application. At this point, we have 60 users from various locations. The catalog lists make reporting simple. In a matter of seconds, you can run a report and have it exported to excel.

Pros: Ease of use / Minimal Training

Cons: Revenue doesn't accept a negative value making it impossible to use the reports.

Recommendations to other buyers: Highly recommend Maximizer. At this point, we have about 12000 companies and 17,000 Opportunities in various stages in Maximizer.

Comments: Considering the sensitivity of our product, there should have been a one on one tutorial on how to maximize the use of your product. There are too many duplications of accounts without explanation. It would be extremely helpful to have a live and in person formal training on all the possibilities of this program.

Pros: I don't know the full capabilities of this program. No one in the office received any formal training in order to train the new person.

Cons: No access to formal training.

Comments: We are a service company and use Maximizer to schedule to obviously track clients but also, schedule estimates and service calls. We just started using a web form that connects directly to the database from a form on our website so that information does not have to be re-entered, just confirmed. We also use our own forms made in Word and it is great to be able to easily bring client data over into these forms.

Pros: Very adaptable to suit various needs. We love being able to access from anywhere. The support staff is wonderful. Always a pleasure to work with them.

Cons: I preferred the desktop version for its speed, the Web version is slightly slower to load but we are getting used to it (on-premise installation, not hosted).

Comments: The staff at Maximizer has been extremely proactive in getting us information, setting up a demo, and working with us to determine our small business needs for a CRM. They put forth additional time and effort prior to us signing up to detail the demo towards our specific business needs so that we were able to get the best idea of how the software would work for us.

Pros: The simplicity of use, clean interface, customizable per user in that you can turn features on and off as needed to reduce clutter; unwanted icons.

Cons: Nothing thus far.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you're a small business and have never used a CRM, take the extra time to filter through a few software options rather than assuming one is going to work for you; it can be overwhelming and you might wind up with more or less than you need.

Comments: I first bought this software around 1996. It's been great to keep track of companies and clients. But when my computer crashed in 2011 or so, even my PC expert was not able to re-integrate the data back into Max. It's such a complicated product that I had to pay a ridiculous amount of money to a special company that only works on Maximizer. The customer support is lousy. They want to charge you event to ask simple questions. The salesman that has been trying to get me to upgrade to the cloud was not understanding me or my needs at all. On the other hand, as I have been researching other CRM's, I am finding they are similar with being expensive and complicated.

Pros: I love how I can view all of my companies or have them in separate categories/databases to look at them separately.

Cons: Complicated! Poor customer service.

Recommendations to other buyers: Don't do it.

Comments: maximizer CRM is trying to be like ACT but it is not user friendly and they dont have any standard setup almost everything has to be setup and then when you are set up you have to poke around to find what your looking for i have 15 lic and i dont have 4 people that use it because it is so hard to figure out.

Pros: if you can set it up correctly it has a ok layout and good for a phone book

Pros: Complete feature set out of the box. Easy to deploy (we did on our own)

Cons: Complex synchronization for remote users. But that's typical as it is complex!

Overall: We have used Maximizer for many years and just recently moved to a different product for our ERP integration. Maximizer is, however, a great CRM with out of the box very complete offering.
We did have some issues with remote users synchronization but support has been great resolving those issues. Otherwise, it's been great for us.

Recommendations to other buyers: Although pretty simple and well supported, I recommend a partner if you have data migration, remote users or other complex features, or of course if no IT staff.

Comments: Maximizer CRM provides our company with a big picture of software. It enhances the capacity of our data and it is very functional. It is not a typical software for university management, however, it is very suitable for clients management for small-median business. You can create whatever you want for fields(information) and there are many customized bars that you could easily get access to.

Pros: .Clear function bar .easy to customized .superior customer services .add on functions for Word

Cons: . Sometimes confused with Applications and Clients .some functions are barely used . Email template is easy to get confused when saving them .Override data should be able to differentiate date for each time

Recommendations to other buyers: Read instructions and watch videos, take their tutorial because it is very helpful if you have more questions, you can also call customer services people are very professional and nice!

Comments: Having used Maximizer for over 25 years I am always disappointed that with each new version it gets worse. Now they are trying to coral their customers into the cloud. What once was an iconic product is now unstable that will make you regret your purchase and be on the look for a replacement. Please go back to Version 3. It was the best!

Pros: I can't find another product that comes close to the feature set.

Cons: Updates lack integration. Promised features don't work properly. Failure to integrate well with Microsoft updates. Complex SQL setup. Expensive support. Users constantly on guard against the company extorting them into more expensive upgrades.

Comments: Pros
Excellent Dashboard wizard, easy to interpret statistics and very easy to make graphs/charts/visual aids for the data you want to present
Simple User interface
Customiseable to your business needs
Pricing is responsible once you figure out your needs

Cons
we had some difficulty implementing on our network so I would suggest hiring a consultant to install or go with their hosted package which totally eliminates any software install on your network.

Pros: It's easy to read notes and find out the status of a client.

Cons: It needs a ton of updating! It's useable, but isn't pretty looking.

Recommendations to other buyers: When implementing a new system, I shortlisted it down to 5 software products I liked with the help of Software Advice then did demos on all of them rating them as I went on my must haves and like to have features.

Comments: I've used Maximizer for over a decade. The current version has "anti-piracy" measures that have cost me dozens of hours and several hundred dollars in tech support trying to "activate" the program again and again. I keep getting locked out of the system because of this bug. Whenever I call Maximizer for support, they send me to independent developers. They're good, but the security on the product makes it very frustrating. When it's running, I like it. It's not much different from previous versions, and I've learned to be very efficient with it. I bought the program 2+ years ago and still struggle just to open the program and load my data. I have a problems with it every few months. I'm thinking about switching from Maximizer CRM. Why? It has nothing to do with the program. It's because their security bug wont let me use the program.

Comments: I have been using Maximizer for many years. Above and beyond the cost effectiveness of a sales automation system, the ease of use and ability to map my organization into the system has made user acceptance very high. Maximizer gives my organization all the functionality and capability of a more complicated system without all the headaches that come with it. If you are considering a sales automation system or a lead manager, Maximizer should be on your list as a strong consideration.

Comments: As a small organization with only a 2 seat requirement, I updated from Max 6. I was shown a new 12 version at a local business exhibition and told about all the wonderful additions - which as I pointed out existed in Max 6 apart, from a few items of tidying up. I only really felt the need to upgrade because my Max 6 would not work with windows 7 64 bit. The supposed seamless integration came apart, support was lacking. Having been a Maximizer user for some years, I already knew that most faults would be with the installation bugs which Maximizer is reluctant to assist with, and so I started to work through them. Some are now fixed, but the forums are sometimes helpful. Having got it working, you find that there is pretty much the same background as there was in Max 6; it is now harder to do simple searches as most shortcuts have either been changed or are a lot harder to get to. The new "office style ribbons" at the top are just as lacking as the ones in most office products, in terms of relativity. Other than the issue with 64 bit I would not have bothered upgrading.

no thought for small companies

Comments: Maximizer is built for large companies, they give little or no support, they don't back their resellers. You pay for a maintenance service in Australia and they don't bother to contact you back even after many phone calls, but if you ring head office in Canada, amazing they ring you within hours

Pros: Had program since 1994 original Tracker, has some good features

Cons: Product support non existence, no thought for small companies, too complicated for mobile use, offer add ons then you change one program and they drop it, use to connect to palm device real easy

Good product but the support could be better

Comments: I've been a maximizer customer for about 8 years. Good product but the service, even for paid maintenance contract subscribers, could be better. The training resources are a bit weak. Its suited for larger companies with tech staff who can implement and maintain this database. I love the product.....but the service is a work in progress.

Pros: suited for larger companies

Cons: Support services
