We use it a lot and find it helpful. It is worth explaining to the board why we pay for it. Pros It is easily intergraded into the website and donor management tool we use. It is easy for staff management and helps take the work load off them freeing up capacity. It also has great easy reporting features. Cons The value for money is a bit high. As a nonprofit with a tight budget it is hard for us to justify to the board why we spend money on it to help with nonprofit fundraising. Review Source Jaquelyn M. The customer service has exceeded all of our expectations. Plus, the platform provides the exact features we need to run events, host auctions, track KPIs, and successfully build our donor list. Pros We reviewed several other options, but this platform was not only user-friendly but also promised the best support and was hyper-focused on our fundraising needs. Cons Honestly, my only concern at first was the learning curve. As a new team of three at a large nonprofit, we are pretty green and definitely overworked, so learning something new felt scary. But no matter how small my question is, the team is always there to help within minutes or hours. There are no ridiculous wait times, and the one-on-one training really made a difference! Not only do we utilize it on our website for general donations, but we use it for events, campaigns, and special giving programs. Highly recommend! The donor CRM has incredibly helpful functions like relationship tracking and household grouping in addition to automated tasks, note taking abilities, event management, easy reporting, and more! They have great functions for fundraising capabilities and peer to peer support as well. The Funraise team is incredibly helpful and always working to make improvements to the software as tech evolves. Cons Their Intelligence software requires a steep learning curve for reporting, but it’s very useful once you understand it. Funraise is an essential platform in our fundraising process. Pros Funraise has streamlined our donor management process, allowing all our donations from various sources to be funneled to the same place - from donations through our website forms, to checks in the mail, to merchandise purchases on card swipers at events. The platform is so easy to use, and we are able to quickly find donor information and pull reports on giving and campaigns. We have a large monthly donor base, and Funraise's functionality and security for recurring donations has supported this aspect of our fundraising so well. It integrates smoothly with many of the other digital platforms we use. Funraise customer support is also great - I know that if I am having trouble with something, I will be able to get help from a real person quickly. Cons Funraise is not as customizable - you can't add your own data fields to track information outside of what Funraise has built in. It would also be nice to be able to see our eventing performance to better understand how our users are engaging with the form and where they are dropping off. The supporter profile is very robust. Additionally, the support from the Funraise team is the best I've experienced. They are incredibly patient and kind, and are responsive to every question. They are always open to feedback and keep us very informed on new and updated features. The cost is very competitive and I feel like you get a very comprehensive system without blowing the budget. Cons The only con I've run into is on the custom domains and the service fee to have one for each site. I can already tell that the donor experience and export of data is going to be more secure, consistent, and accurate than our previous platform. Cons I have not had any major complaints. There are some customization options that I would like to expand within the giving forms, however, they always record these requests for future updates. There have been so many changes at our org and Funraise has helped us pivot to meet the needs of a merger + major data organizing overhaul - and never compromised what we had built with our donors and advocates! They go above and beyond to help us build what we need via Funraise Intelligence dashboards, etc. Cons I wish there were better de-duping features so that we could better troubleshoot duplicate accounts and update data simply for all of our donors/advocates. It does not transfer all information over and still requires steps to have them land correctly in Daxko. Funraise consistently welcomes feedback and enhances its product in meaningful ways. We primarily use Funraise for secure online payments with a mobile-friendly interface, automatic generation of receipts, and hosting campaigns with a fundraising goal and progress/status bar. This platform allows us to fundraise responsibly without a development team, but if we had one, we would be unstoppable. Here’s to raising enough funds to grow our team and reach even more impact. No regrets. " November 17, 2025 5.0 Pros We have been using Funraise for over 7 years and are so grateful we chose them when we did! After sitting through demo after demo, it was clear Funraise was an innovative startup looking to serve their nonprofit clients in the best possible way and had a clean user experience. They have continued launching new and helpful features, like relationship tracking, annual reporting, texting to donors within Funraise, AI giving suggestions, and more! Not only is this a great donor management CRM software, but the team is incredible if you ever need support. They deeply care about their customers as well as building the nonprofit community. We can't say enough good things about them! Cons The only thing that really makes it challenging is being able to log checks that we get each month as recurring gifts in the system. We've found work-arounds for it, but it requires more manual tracking than desired. There's no perfect software out there, but Funraise is pretty dang close! The Intelligence Software has a steep learning curve but is incredibly powerful to use. If you have a question about how to do something on the platform, they are very quick to respond to your request and will even send you a video tutorial or schedule a Zoom call to walk you through it. I really appreciate the fast and thorough response! Cons The intelligence side of Funraise is so specific and adept at pulling reports that it can sometimes be challenging to determine how to retrieve the exact report you're looking for. The more we use it, the more detailed our reports are which is great. Pros Ease of donations in multi currencies. As our NPO organisation is worldwide and has 3x legal entities with different currencies it was essentail that the platform could receive different funds. Cons The campaigns are not as easy to use and seems more limiting. We rather create a custom page and insert a Funraise form. Cons There aren't too many things that I don't like. One critique is offering more options in reporting for our current subscription. Right now we're only able to create one report at a time. There have definitely been some issues we've run into, but they have been quick to find resolutions. Pros Funraise is quite user-friendly on both the front-end and back-end and the layouts for their Peer to Peer and donation forms are well though out. The best decision for us in getting this software was to pay the additional for the added account support.\[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] is hands down one of the best account execs I've ever dealt with. His knowledge of the platform and ability to offer solutions to issues that crop up is top notch. I also like the fact that the entire team is always looking to improve its product. When I give feedback, I know it's being taken seriously and that changes/improvements are always being made. Cons I do think that the Peer to Peer software could be improved to make the load time of Fundraisers quicker. It could also offer more templated language for people who sign up as a fundraiser. Pros Funraise combines every tool a non-profit organization may need to be successful into one easy-to-use platform, at a reasonable price point. Being able to manage donation forms, email automation, peer-to-peer fundraising and donation data analytics in one place is a welcomed addition to our tool kit and is already paying dividends. Cons There's not much to dislike. It's very intuitive and easy to use, even right out of the box. An end-to-end SMS marketing approach would be a nice feature addition that would help enhance donor communication. I think sometimes editing pages or websites can be a little tricky, but nothing I can't eventually figure out. Just a couple times I've been confused on what to do. One thing I would really like is if you could feature more than 9 fundraiser pages on one site!
