Most CMS are designed for just interior LCD HD TVs to be used as signages. Play lets me configure my sign to it's exact unique pixel size. Cons Everytime I make a playlist I have to define the aspect ratio of my sign. My sign is unique and it should just offer that size as it is already associated to my account. I also don't like that play does not automatically read the length of a video I import. If my video is longer or shorter than the default hold time it will cut the video off or loop it. So I have to set a custom hold time. I wish it could just read the video length and set that as the hold time. Through no fault of Play, I was unable to get a display mounted outside my office, so instead I started using it IN my office, both as a giant wall clock and a rotating set of my favorite pictures. Pros Once running, it is seamless and versatile, and has lots of nice options for creating screens to match your needs. For me, I have it set to do a rotating set of photos, with the weather and time, on a second large wall mounted monitor in my office. But it can be edited to display whatever suits you, be it a menu, office hours, etc. Cons The only real issue I have had is minor, and I think related to my setup, not Play Digital Signage.
