At my church and I are adjusting to becoming available to people, not just in the brick and mortar, but we're trying to make ourselves available to any and everyone near and wide that would like to receive the word of our Lord and Savior. We actually started with Yo Deck, but that software was extremely confusing and not very user friendly. Once we found Play Digital, it was just a smooth process and straightforward. Also, being that we're a small church, we don't need a many screens, so the fact that we can receive one free screen is a great option for us, and we're very thankful. I would recommend this software to anyone that is a novice to this kind of thing, and wants a user friendly platform to use. Pros I really enjoy the simplicity of the website. There aren't confusing steps, and you can keep slides in your history for later use, or to archive. When creating the slides, there are templates that you can use, but you can also customize the slides to your own template. This really sealed the deal for us because not being able to customize a slide was our biggest issue. Cons Honestly, I haven't really found anything of much significance to make me NOT like the software. I guess if I had to nit pick, I would say that there should be an option to use it on my phone. Which, there may be an option for that already, I'm not sure. June 15, 2026 3.0 Overall, Play is simple and easy to use. It is very versatile for many different types of signs. Great value for people like me with small signs and not huge budgets. Pros I loved how Play is so versitile that it will work with my LED sign. Most CMS are designed for just interior LCD HD TVs to be used as signages. Play lets me configure my sign to it's exact unique pixel size. Cons Everytime I make a playlist I have to define the aspect ratio of my sign. My sign is unique and it should just offer that size as it is already associated to my account. I also don't like that play does not automatically read the length of a video I import. If my video is longer or shorter than the default hold time it will cut the video off or loop it. So I have to set a custom hold time. I wish it could just read the video length and set that as the hold time. Cons The player's Portuguese translation has some errors, but nothing that hinders functionality. For example, there's an option to "restart the player at a specific time." I thought it was just the player itself, but it ends up restarting the machine where the player is installed. Although there are many possibilities for plug-ins, we are also satisfied with simply creating slides in PowerPoint and inserting them as exported images. The software is very easy to use, and publishing is instantaneous and straightforward. Cons We find the software limited in terms of the possibilities it offers for touch screens. It would be useful to be able to slide through slides or change the displayed content on the screen itself using gesture control. As we use the screen as a signpost, a search function to find certain rooms/people would also be a valuable addition. It would also be useful to be able to set a custom duration for when the client app reopens on the device after another app has been used.
