Pros I love that you can include the weather, rss ticker, media feed, show websites, social media, photos from Google Drive, and they also have templates. I did have some trial and error in the beginning, but now I find it easy to use. Using the playlists, library and schedule gives you control over how and what you want to show on your screen. It has also an app you can download and install. They have a very helpful and friendly support service! Cons So far, I don't have anything negative to say about it. I tested several other signage players but found them difficult to navigate with the limited time I have to learn. I am currently demoing Zoom Digital Signage as it is offered free to us as part of our Zoom Enterprise Account. Free is very hard to beat. However, Play Signage has functionality and ease of use that makes the decision of leaving very difficult. Pros Play Signage greatly impacts the marketing, outreach, and communications of our campus. Anything from announcements, even flyers, menus: you name it and we have it. Play Signage allows us to do so very seamlessly, quickly, and effectively all over our campus while minimizing our need for actually paper communication and physical contact with the bulletin locations. Pros We utilize both Google Slides and YouTube videos of local events that we then loop back to our cable provider. Residents get to see the content on an easily scheduled basis. Creating new slides is a very simple and intuitve process. Since we only required one screen there is no cost, yet full support is still offered. Not many companies would offer support under those terms. Pros Play Digital Signage was the easiest to work with for our needs. It effectively communicates to our students events and reminders throughout the day. We have various playlists that trigger at various times to remind students when classes end and begin. It is also used to communicate emergency procedures for fire drills and lockdowns. Cons Not being able to play a background music playlist continuously without restarting when the top playlist loops back to the beginning. Our customers are very satisfied users. Pros The Playsignage system is very user-friendly. Our customers quickly mastered the possibilities. Despite the fact that the system is English and we have Dutch customers. Cons We have been working with the system for over 2 years now and we have not been able to discover much that we are missing. Because media RSS doesn't work in the Netherlands, they even made a special RSS reader for us, which makes it possible to use the Dutch RSS feeds. Pros The price is the single largest attractor for us. Being able to have pro-rated billing is clutch since we don't have the screens on all the time. The first screen is free which is the one we keep on all the time with general information. We can then easily scale up to as many screens as we need during events. Cons Social media integration.
