Setting up everything from time based revolving slides to touch screen interactive displays took minutes and the end product is professional in appearance. The greatest asset I constantly used was the tutorial videos. Every feature of the software has a "how to use" style video that is short and precise to how to use the feature! If you have questions not answered with the videos you can turn to their chat function. Fast, friendly and extremely dedicated staff will provide support to using the software. As someone with almost no professional training into using advanced media creating software I felt like a pro using Play Digital Signage! Cons The only difficulty I experienced when using this software was initially assigning content to specific monitors. It allows me to set up a digital signage system in my store, giving up coming events and releases a clean, easy to read look. Not only can I get slides ready for display, but I can schedule them as well, which comes in handy for time sensitive announcements. Pros Very Easy WYSIWYG editor that gets your signage board up and running in minutes. I'm able to push this to my Fire Stick TV (I did have to download the Play app from the amazon App Store - no issues there). Cons The only issue that I'm having is if I have a image on multiple slides and want to change just one of them it's not as straight forward as just changing the one - it will replace both images. I've found a couple workarounds to avoid this issue, but it takes a little bit of planning before making a quick image moves on the slides. Review Source DT Drew T. I originally got it as a way to have a screen that would both display cool pictures, AND allow me to remotely change the display so it could give updates to my office hours, research schedule, etc (I am a professor). Through no fault of Play, I was unable to get a display mounted outside my office, so instead I started using it IN my office, both as a giant wall clock and a rotating set of my favorite pictures. Pros Once running, it is seamless and versatile, and has lots of nice options for creating screens to match your needs. For me, I have it set to do a rotating set of photos, with the weather and time, on a second large wall mounted monitor in my office. But it can be edited to display whatever suits you, be it a menu, office hours, etc. Cons The only real issue I have had is minor, and I think related to my setup, not Play Digital Signage. Every time my computer restarts I have to manually move the screen to the secondary display (dragging window etc). March 28, 2026 5.0 I like it, like I said after playing around with it for a while I had a better understanding of the program and how to publish. I would recommend it for someone just starting out in digital signage and/or only needs to use one screen. A small group or in my case at the entrance of our union state convention. Pros For a small union organization this will be great for our annual state convention. It will be used to show the schedule for the day and miscellaneous information for the delegates. It is similar to how PowerPoint works, took me about 20 minutes to understand the whole interface. I am using this program with Amazon Signage. So far, everything has been straight forward and seamless. Being able to add YouTube videos is a major plus. Cons There is a slight learning curve and while the YouTube tutorials help there is a wealth of information to understand.
