Pros What I like most about is that creating new content and updating existing content is straightforward, even for teachers who aren’t very tech-savvy. Integration with Google Drive allows multiple teachers to edit and upload content and to do so in an environment they are already familiar with. Cons Video materials in playlists sometimes lag and are displayed in lower resolution. It would also be useful if changes in a Google Drive folder could automatically refresh. Pros A powerful, easy-to-use solution with support for many different devices and content types, including integration with other platforms. Security is easy to manage via SSO. Unfortunately, however, the software's limitations are quickly reached, despite the many appealing features. Pros What I like most about is how easy it is to use. You don't need to be an IT expert to create professional-looking digital signage. I really like that the software for creating and editing playlists works similarly to PowerPoint, making it very straightforward. I haven't had time to explore all the integrated plugins yet, but I'm already a fan of the integrations! Cons What I don't like about the service is that, for touch-sensitive screens, you essentially only have buttons (i.e. certain pre-defined regions) to navigate through slides of a predetermined playlist. There are no swipe gestures, which would allow for a totally different range of transitions or menu styles. I would also like to add a search function to the screen to help people find rooms and directions in our building, but as far as I could see, this option is not available either. Being able to type or drag the schedules and always seeing the resulting playlist at the top of the screen is great. Pros The flexibility in scheduling multiple playlists was the BIGGEST feature I was impressed with. The library of music and gifs looks neat but I haven't played around with it too much. Our staff caught onto the new program in a single day which was really great for everyone. Cons I'm still figuring out sharing playlists within our organization. After sharing playlists with four users, two had each playlists shown twice and the other two didn't. It didn't impact functionality but was a little confusing. Pros Play Digital is easy to learn and use. I use it on a Samsung Tizen and it was easy to install. I tried a few other apps before finding Play Digital and they were not as easy to use and install. I also appreciate Play Digital's library of Help Files. Cons I would like to see a few more plugins with more options for displaying photos and videos. Pros Incredibly easy setup, extremely easy to manage. Slideshow creation and modification is intuitive, and has all the options we want. Makes it very simple to delegate to non-technical users to keep the signage current. Love the tag options so we can have "cut-ins" with emergency information.
