There is no customer service unless you pay the top tier monthly subscription Pros Building a community instead of using a private Facebook group Cons Kajabi is great if you already have a thriving community, and a website builder, but if you are fairly new to building a community with no website designer this isn't the app to start with. Pros But I like most is that is for entrepreneurs that don't have much experience in the business. It helps you build and market your own online courses as well as doing classes that might be beneficial to you Cons I believe the price was ridiculous honestly it was a little too expensive for what they were delivering Review Source VR Verified Reviewer President E-Learning Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Overpromises and underdelivers" December 29, 2020 4.0 Based on my previous comments -- and to be fair to Kajabi -- I think it is a great platform if you don't care much about contact management (beyond the very basic) and your audience is English-speaking ONLY. It is more robust than other alternatives such as Podia; it doesn't require add-on software like Thinkific. Just know that you will pay a premium. Pros I liked that it is an all-in-one solution. Once you figure out how to navigate around the platform, you begin to see that you really don't need other software solutions in order to offer basic, elegant, online courses. Cons For the cost (which is nothing t sneeze at), I was left expecting more. When you buy a Lexus you expect higher quality components than when you buy a Toyota...and there's nothing wrong with a Toyota; I had one for close to 20 years! Specifically to Kajabi, I felt that the contact management module (called "People" in Kajabi) was weak. Most all free versions of marketing software (think MailChimp) do more than Kajabi. Another glitch I didn't like about Kajabi was that it didn't always allow you to customize the email verbiage in your email sequence. What do I mean by this? Most of my target audience speaks Spanish...I was able to create forms in Spanish to capture emails, but the double opt-in confirmation email was in English and non-customizable. Readers of this review may not appreciate the importance of this but just imagine opting-in in English (and you only speak English) but then getting a confirmation email with Chinese characters or in Russian. Just doesn't make sense! Pros Kajabi offers many course creation tools to design online classes or trainings from scratch. For example, there's a course creation tool that allows you to create classes, videos, and other digital tools for content. Here's the best part - once your class or training is created, there's lead generation, product launch tools, and webinar funnels to use for marketing it. What is great about Kajabi is the seamless automation to build your product, sell, and manage purchases. It is truly an all in one tool! Cons Unfortunately, there is no free subscription plan. So, you may not benefit from purchasing a plan if you will not use Kajabi on a regular basis. Although, there's a 14-day free trial available to test drive the product to see if it's a good fit for you. I built a website for a coaching client who bought into the kajabi hype but when I got under the hood, I found it to be a lesser product that charged way more because it markets really well to a specific niche. Least favorite tool on the market, after wordpress. Pros I thought that the website that guides you to buy kajabi was really polished and professional Cons I have used every website and funnel builder out there. Kajabi charges so much and still limits your ability to input custom code. the editor is really unintuitive and clunky. Hard to update your brand colors and fonts across the whole site. Pros It claims to have all the features to deploy an all-inclusive solution that encompasses online pressence, marketing, and online education. Cons The website builder is absolutely horrendous. The entire platform in general is very finicky and incredibly difficult to work with. I've worked in the space for over 10 years and it's by far the worst platform to work with. Even simple things like moving text blocks or uploading images in their wysiwyg builder are an abomination. I cannot recommend to anyone, especially at the price point they are asking. Pros Once you get things set up the first time it is really easy to copy and reuse for the next set of courses. I really like all the built-in templates for the webpages and offers. It makes it very easy to optimize for mobile viewing! Love that customer support is always available. If I forget that I started a chat (I'm a multitasker) they will email me to make sure I get my questions answered. Cons The learning curve is a bit steep, we needed to hire a web developer to get us started. Once you understand the terms and processes it becomes much easier. I was about to cancel my kajabi but I will losing my 600$ customs template there. So i pay 20$ to post-phone my account. Because i found new course builder cheaper and robust. I still want to comeback in kajabi one day when My courses growing. The built-in marketing and sales funnel templates were also great and customer support fantastic. Those were easy to use. The website templates were fairly editable but ran into some problems on trying to get it to look the way I wanted. Cons For me, the Coaching aspect did not work for my business and I was SO excited for that feature to roll out. The templates were too masculine and I didn't feel had enough variety of styles. If my style was big and bold then maybe it would have saved me money. As it was, I purchase very expensive Kajabi templates from an external source but because the price vs the usability didn't match up, I ended up spending way more than I wanted to and eventually cancelling my account. It takes much of the design and construction of online courses and products out of the equation, so you can focus on the content, and on selling. I especially like that everything is integrated.. No need for separate shopping cart, landing pages, etc. Pros Great user interface and ease of use. The team behind the product is enthusiastic and their customer-onboarding and retention is excellent Cons Price is a barrier to entry, and their tiers are oddly configured. I'd like to see a one-product, one-site option for a lower cost. Email tool is not quite ready for prime-time.
