It's a great companion for any everyone coordinating and managing project teams on the field. Pros My experience with the Dalux solutions has been great. The dalux field has a very intuitive document management and workflow automation system. It has helped immensely in leveraging the power of BIM in construction and issue management Cons There are very little conc with the Dalux Field. Pros simple and fast definitions of workflows. Many possible applications such as commissioning, start-up or mechanical testing of, for example, installation equipment. Fast handling and easy handling. The tool is intended for everyone and everyone can understand it. The tool is virtually foolproof. This saves a lot of time and nerves on the construction site. Construction Technical Services Engineer Construction Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Dalux is a great way to take models from the desktop into the field FOR FREE!" July 24, 2018 4.0 Pros It's easy to use and it's free! All it takes is an upload of all of the Revit models (note it HAS TO BE REVIT file format) and post to the field app. You can also upload floorplans and assign elevations that allow you to navigate easier in the model. Cons The file formats need to be Revit. I'm a general contractor and my subs model in AutoCAD regularly so I can't post any subcontractor models in this system. The other odd thing is that all measurements are in metric as it's been developed in the EU. Not sure how to change that or if it's possible. Operations Manager Construction Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Excellent tool, that works fast, has great user interface, all needed functions and is simple to use" July 26, 2017 5.0 The main benefit is saving a lot of time of making pictures and registrations, putting them in reports, sending them on emails, checking, sending reminders, keeping track and records. The tool also allows you to have all your drawings and model on site in your phone or tablet, no need to carry papers around. It improvs and simplifies communication with the contractors, where they get clear message where and what is not in order. And they also like it as it is clear what exactly needs to be fixed and where. Furthermore records of all correspondence is kept safely in case you need it in the future. Finally project managers can track the progress. Pros That it is simple enough to understand and to be used by everyone, including simple workers on site. No need for special installation, setting up or learning course. That is why implementation in any project is very easy and the tool is actually being used, because people quickly understand how it works, see that it actually saves time and makes communication easier. Furthermore it always works fast on any device, when for example opening large drawings or 3D models. It also has a great customer support team, that is always ready to help. It also seems that they work hard to continuesly improve the product, as there are coming new updates and improvements, also keep up to date with latest trends, like using BIM and 3D Models. And finally the tool is being translated into many languages, recently it came in Lithuanian, which is a big advantage working in the Lithuanian market. Cons Works great, sorry, but hard to find any cons. The only thing I could think of could maybe be the price of the software, as it is not free, but we made a little research our selfs before selecting the tool and there were no cheaper alternatives to cover our companies needs on the market. Drawings are updated every time you sinc and dalux 360 is amazing Cons Loss of data when out of range. Cons When downloading individual documents it would be preferable to have check box selection rather than 'Ctrl shift' to select.
