Excellent. I have used firewalls and network devices in the past that had horrible web interfaces (or none at all), or didn't offer everything that seemed to be necessary in network and internet filtering and tracking. The Firebox is--for lack of a better word--very enjoyable to use.

Pros

Our WatchGuard Firebox has been up and running for years. It has an extremely user-friendly web-based interface, and has plenty of optional "addons" that can be purchased to give you as much or as little control and safety over your network and internet usage as you need.

Cons

Some steps (like for example, opening up a port to the outside world to go to a specific device on your network) can sometimes feel overly complicated. Maybe it's all necessary, but sometimes there are a LOT of steps that have to be done just to accomplish what seems like a simple goal or task.

I have been deploying and maintaining various firewalls for over 2 decades and found WatchGuard Firebox one of the best. Watchguard support is very good and documentation is easy to access and robust.

Pros

Robust security features and intuitive management. Provides great perimeter security and is designed for small and medium business. Flexible deployment with either on-premise or cloud infrastructures such as Azure and AWS.

Cons

Initial HA Cluster deployment can be a hassle. Migration for managing locally to managing in WatchGuard Cloud is time consuming.

Fireboxes are full-featured firewalls that can protect businesses small, large, and anywhere in between.

Cons

The interface is difficult to use, whether using the GUI or the management software.

Very happy. Especially with the way Watchguard handled the security issue. We were patched before the press even knew watchguard had a vulnerability.

Pros

Learning curve, value for the money, customer support, network management and security are all top 5 in by book.

Cons

The watchguard mobile ssl vpn client. It works great for the IT staff, but users that are familiar with AnyConnect struggle with lock out issues.

Overall I can definitely recommend Watchguard products as they have worked well with little to no issues. Performance is fast and efficient, and support is helpful.

Pros

Watchguard has consistently added and improved features over the life of the product. It takes some time to get familiar with the interface but it's easy to use and customize to suit your needs. Security thus far has been top notch with no issues. Support is great if needed. Very professional and helpful

Cons

There is little that I can fault Watchguard on their products. From time to time there may be issues but they seem to resolve themself automatically.

Excellent! WatchGuard provides hardware that does what the label says and offers professional technical support when needed.

Pros

Being able to control the WatchGuard Firebox from the Cloud is essential in setting up and diagnosing VPN's between sites. The interface is easy to use and changes are easy to deploy.

Cons

NOTHING! Everything that was required this box does easily and without continued supervision.

Our company has been using WatchGuard fireboxes since about 2002 and our first Firebox 700. The hardware and features have kept pace with our company all this time. The Fireboxes and features keep pace with the ever changing security concerns for publicly facing servers. Thanks you .

Pros

We appreciate all the included features in our Firebox. It's allowed us to reduce the number of different security solutions we need to configure and manage.

Cons

Access to a Linux VPN client that supports authpoint MFA has been our only issue lately.

I have been able to install quite large deployments, clusters and branch offices and the overall experience has been very good. They are every stable and tech support have assisted me on various tasks.

Pros

The firewalls very flexible, easy to configure and can work in every scenario. Cluster setups are every stable.

Cons

nothing really. What can be improved is the ssl vpn client which occasionally needs to be reinstalled on some PCs as it stops working

We started with a desktop model and over the years worked up to a rackmount M series. We always received good support for the few issues we had and always received what I felt were excellent value upgrade and tradeup prices

Pros

For us it offers many enterprise level features at at SME price. The reliability of he hardware is oustanding - we had one hardware issue in 10 years and it was swapped overnight.

Cons

The UI isn't sparkling but it does the job. The biggest shortcoming we had was lack of easy integration with Azure AD accounts using non Domain joined devices.

The required feature set at a good price. Not the cheapest by definteley the best value. We loved the features of the Palo but it was out of budget. The others were broadly the same as each other but we felt overall the Watchguard offered the best value. Being well regarded in the market helped too.

We were using SBS 2003 and Zone Alarm The SBS product was going EOL and we needed a replacement. After reveiwing several options I went with a desktop T70. Never looked back! Over the years we moved up the range as our requiremnents grew and there was always a suitable model available.

I am satisfied with Watchguard products, they are of excellent quality and last over time... customers are satisfied and have a fair price for the market.

Pros

The ease in managing the configuration of the various features and the quality of the work that the firewall does. Even in complex realities, you can always manage everything with great ease

Cons

The distribution part. There should be more distribution partners and be more structured in the territory.

The Watchguard Firebox series of routers have captured ease-of-use and affordability in their corner of the enterprise market. Not only do I use a firebox for my home network, but I manage more than a dozen for home and business customers.

Pros

The Firebox has web-based and application management features. There is highly-granular control of settings. It has multiple levels of support packages. They also work right of the box for a new network set-up.

Cons

The Firebox is a little expensive for home users. While they work right out of the box, advanced configurations can be a little daunting for those with minimal network skills.

In general it does the job. We do not have any big complains. Price to value ratio is high.

Pros

It is all in one and has nice and easy interface. I would give 5 stars but there are a couple of minor flows. the best value would be 4.5 stars.

Cons

You need separate applications to manage the firewalls.

The System Manager console in Java could benefit from an update. The spelling mistake in French on the MUVPN SSL client 'Ménmoriser Mot de passe' has been present for years despite numerous reports."

Pros

The appliance is very powerful and has many granular options when remoting into the instance itself. The cloud interface is also nice to have.

Cons

The cloud interface could use some more of the power user options that are available whenever you remote directly into your Firebox appliance.
