Pros: The slash commands add a genuinely wide range of features, without cluttering the UI with a ton of menus and buttons. It even has a built-in meme creator the keep work communication light-hearted.

Cons: For some reason, you can't seem to copy text from their shelf feature with feels like an odd function to prohibit given the shelf is supposed to be sort of the information hub of Glip

Pros: The pros are, it works,! This is great if you need to just chat , with just text.
there are some Gifs you can use too. Other pros are you can make "chat rooms" for teams or groups.
if you need something for the office for just simple communication it would work.

Cons: The cons, I find it frustrating when you send a file or photo, it archives everything in a strange way that i don't particularly like . But what really is that it opens the photo over your chat so if you want to chat about the photo you cant because your photo takes up the whole screen. I find that it is very laggy as an app on mobile phones,. But works find on the desk top. But when you are on the go and not getting your messages, its frustrating.

Overall: it works, but its not the greatest option out there, I like all the bells and whistles.

Pros: I lopve the search feature. Makes it easy to find something, even old, in a conversation. It also makes finding shared files fast and easy.

Cons: Ringcentral side doesnt work well, but this companion app is great. Its too bad you need the one for the other

Pros: It's easy to use and we've not run into issues with it. You want something like internal office chat to work at all times and this does the trick.

Cons: We don't take full advantage of what it has to offer as we use just the basic features. Haven't run into any negatives yet.

Pros: So we just implemented this at my church and I really have enjoyed learning all of its different features. Its still too early to have learned everything that is great about it but it's very easy to use and get started with and for the price it was perfect.

Cons: So far there isn't too much that I dislike about Glip.

Pros: If you have a small, startup business, and you need an easy way to communicate with other team members in one place, Glip can help. It's recent integration with RingCentral is helpful as well.

Cons: Tech challenged employees take longer to acclimate to Glip. When you create teams or conversations, you can't easily remove employees from them. Instead, you need to start new groups and hope no one bumps the old conversation. Has Zapier integration, but could use more hooks to allow communication with other Zaps.

Comments: There are so many communication tools. But this system is built by communication (phone application) company, therefore it is a very comprehensive system.

Pros: If you have RingCentral, Glip comes with it. It is integrated with phone application. So communication is seamless.

Cons: It doesn't have file storing function (as far as I know). I can attach files but it is not ideal to keep files in Glip.

Pros: This has been a very important tool to help our teams meet in one place and collaborate on projects. The IM functionality is great and well integrated. Our people from all over the country love it and have been able to save a lot of time on conference calls

Cons: We would like this tool to be better integrated to our environment - this can be unnecessary fiddling to get the tool running daily and that's where we have seen competitors like Microsoft take the lead

This is helpful for getting the word out to your team quickly.

Pros: I like that we can use the chat together and send messages on a smaller scale without having to invest in a ton of software.

Cons: I think we will outgrow this system pretty quickly when it comes to trying to file share and be more integrated with other platforms. For now it is a good fit though.

Overall: This is a great place for a small church to start when trying to think about communication options.

Pros: It has an app that you can download to use on your pc and smartphone. This has increased productivity ten fold. People are no longer getting up from their desk and walking across the building to ask questions.

Cons: I would like more control of some of the configuration settings as an admin. As an admin all I can really do is invite people to the teams. I would like to be able to check on messages and things like that as an admin.

Overall: It cuts down the time it takes to get questions answered and cuts down on the chitchat in the office.

Pros: I've used Ring Central during my final interview as an Appointment Setter in MyOutdesk. It's faster than Skype. You can setup online meetings for more people here as well.

Cons: hope you can integrate this with other professional platforms like LinkedIn or Slack for meeting/conference purposes

Pros: I like that we can have separate group conversations for different issues, and departments and projects. It is easy to use for all levels of computer users. The customer service level is top notch too!

Overall: Our team is more organized, we all stay connected easily since some of us are remote across the country.

Pros: The biggest pro to this software is that it is completely free! And it's wonderful because it helps many people to come together and plan/coordinate without even having to be in the same room together. With the busyness of life and schedules, this can come in great handy and become a great tool.

Cons: This can be hard to use with older generations that may not be as tech savvy. It works for some but maybe not for everyone, which is something that should be kept in mind when looking to use it.

Overall: The biggest pro to this software is that it is completely free! And it's wonderful because it helps many people to come together and plan/coordinate without even having to be in the same room together. Pros: Great for collaboration and overall project organization. Easy to view and complete tasks on time and ensure something does not get missed. Ability to have email notifications for a back up if something is missed.

Cons: Chat is great, but if someone needs to be removed from a group, you have to start a new one. Wish it was integrated into other programs I use as well rather than just a stand alone.

Pros: Glip allows you create chat teams and assign task in it, share large files and access it in three platforms - desktop app, mobile app and browser-based access.

Cons: Minor thing, I wish there was a way to edit team display picture or the capability to share screen. So you can aslo conduct meeting.

Comments: One of the only software programs that allows you to send tasks to other team members

Pros: Has all you need to stay organized and keep you team organized. Chat like communication between individuals or groups. Lots of integrations

Cons: Does not allow you to search tasks which would help when trying to track down previous tasks or tasks that were assigned awhile back.

Pros: I love the fact that you can add tasks and assign them to yourself or coworkers and it cuts down on email. It's great to have that "checked something off the list feeling."

Cons: It might be better if it wasn't it's own program and worked within Microsoft Outlook since it's likely that most customers use that for email.

Pros: Glip is a lightweight piece of software that gives some pretty powerful collaboration tools. We use it to share files and communicate with another organization and it's been a life saver. It's great in a browser, iOS app form, or as a downloaded app for Mac.

Cons: Not much to say here! I had a few connectivity issues occasionally with the desktop application, but those have resolved with a quick restart.

This isn't my fav probably because I used Bascamp first w/ my coach

Pros: I like the notification in my email for communication with clients and task management. I don't particularly enjoy this app though people I work with enjoy it.

Cons: I was frustrated in being able to share notes with video or screenshot so that the tasks can be completed with ease.

Pros: so I think everyone should use glip. No, I don't work for glip. I used to use slack and then we hit 10k msgs and were forced to pay or loose our data. that stinked. with glip it's free. I don't know how they survive but they do. glip is really really awesome. the app never crashes (yes my slack would sorta crash and do buggy stuff). glip is like slack but free.

Comments: It's free when you have RingCentral!

Pros: Easily communicate from anywhere. Works well on Mac and iPhone. So many integrated features that it'll work well for any company. To-Dos, keep track of shared documents, fun communication.

Cons: As the admin, you can't delete employees out of teams/conversations. Which means you have to start new groups when employees leave the company. Hard to edit teams even as Admin.

Pros: We use this daily for work communication. Very simple and commands are great to use. Groups are easy to create.

Cons: The cellphone app does not very good, I have a good internet connection and a good phone but the app freezes very often.

Pros: Very nice application, you can use it on your cell phone as well and has the option to integrate with your cell phone's Ring central app.

Comments: Overall the software has saved us tons in time and money being able to manage the different teams all in one place and easily communicate.

Pros: Easy to collaborate with a team AND keep all of my organizational and plans up to date, sharing them only with those who need access to collaborate. Very easy to organize as well. And very easy to communicate with other members of the organization.

Cons: I wish the calendar had the ability to have things recure based on the #th day of the month or by the #rd day of the week of the month, having more control over the frequency. I also think they could make it more user friendly in terms of keeping files and such organized

Comments: Great software and it can be used for free for smaller businesses.

Pros: Tasking - Not only for yourself, but you can assign tasks to co-workers and co-worker groups. Tons of integrations Instant Message/Chat/ Texting style of communication between co-workers or clients. You can collaborate a team quickly and keep everything organized and it's as easy as texting!

Cons: Doesn't integrate with Hubspot, but does with Salesforce. Really the only downside is trying to get all my co-workers to use Glip.

Pros: Easy to use. File sharing and versions is probably my favourite feature. UI is very user friendly too and looks good.

Cons: Not really a con but I prefer the desktop app over the mobile app. I use the desktop app daily and rarely the mobile app anymore. I think I'm just not a mobile person

Pros: I love the ease of setup, mobile apps, and integration of checklist progress into tasks. It's very easy to add new team members and stay in touch all day.

Cons: It lacks a lot of the nicer features of Slack. Glip is a nice tool in many ways because of the simplicity and Slack can get overbearing, but sometimes it's really nice to have all the options of Slack.

Pros: A lot of built in things. Think of it as Slack more oriented business and project management. Calendar, task tracking, collaborative document edition, you name it ... all in one place.

Cons: Could we please have code highlighting or verbatim in the chat? A bit more of support for IT project management would be great!

Pros: Glip is one of the biggest assets our company has. Communication is key to success, and glip makes it easy to communicate at team and individual levels.

Cons: Sometimes, some features that are available on my desktop are not always immediately available on the mobile app.

Pros: Everyone in our office uses Glip because it's bundled with RingCentral and that's our unified communications solution. File sharing, starting calls or video meetings, creating and assigning tasks, groups of as many or few team members as you need - I don't know if there's anything groundbreaking here, but it is all included in one app, it IS all essential, and if you're a RingCentral customer it's 100% free.

Cons: My preference would be for synchronization between Glip's calendar and Google's to be a two way street. But although you can upload your Google calendar to Glip, the extra functionality within Glip prohibits updates there from syncing back to Google.

I love Glip without Glip I wouldn't have a team

Comments: Overall great software

Pros: Glip has allowed me to keep my virtual and in-house team connected at all times. We have the ability to manage different teams, have different conversations about projects and subjects. I love how organized it allows you to be. We have an app so no one ever miss out on any important notes.

Cons: We would like the ability to temporarily block agents to logging into glip without removing them as a user. Also we would like the ability to restrict some employees from downloading the app as sensitive information are shared on Glip.

Pros: It is easy to use, and calendar is nice, many integrations make it very versatile. It is very comparable to slack.

Cons: doesn't consistently send push notifications to my phone when direct messaged or mentioned and that is a big beef. I wish it had a code snip-it like slack

Overall: it is a good messaging app, there are many out there, this one stacks up well.

I love the ability to collaborate with my co-workers from anywhere.

Pros: The Ux design is new, slide menu have all the things you need, system is fast, response to most commands is fast

Cons: I hard coded look, I would love to have to the choose to redecorate the application with my own colors and images , maybe have a shortcut menu on the main page to my fav files and notes

Pros: Glip is an [almost] all-in-one, [almost] unified productivity tool takes a bunch of what I liked about Asana's task-management, and combines it with the instant messaging functionality of Slack.

Glip makes team communication, collaboration, and task/project management as simple as instant messaging. Whereas Asana begins and revolves around task-management, Glip begins with conversation, which is a much more organic way to collaborate, I think.

Glip excels in its instant messaging, which does more than just the usual chat. In addition to allowing users to easily communicate with their teams and co-workers, Glip's desktop app allows you to create and assign tasks, create and share (and annotate) notes and documents, schedule events, and attach files from your preferred cloud service...all through its instant messenger. Pretty snazzy.

The mobile app is a significantly paired-down version of the desktop app, but again, it excels at instant messaging - very response, keeps you connected to your teams...just with less functionality.

Overall, I definitely recommend Glip.

Cons: While there are a few things here and there that need to be addressed, it's Glip's calendar that hurts the experience for me. To put it simply - Glip's calendar is inadequate. More specifically, the calendar fails in its ability to effectively schedule recurring tasks and events. While it does allow for daily, weekly, monthly and yearly scheduling, it does not allow for more specific intervals. For example, our organization has an evening staff meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of every month - we can't schedule it Glip. As much as I want to use the Glip calendar personally, it's shortcomings force me to use the ever-faithful Google Calendar...which means, it's not really an all-in-one solution (which is supposed to be Glip's hook!). My suggestion to the Glip team is to look at what Google Calendar does as far as scheduling is concerned and copy it!

As far as the mobile experience is concerned, my two biggest gripes are 1) the 7-day calendar (seriously, why?); and 2) the inability to sort/filter tasks. Aside from the above, it's just ok. As mentioned previously, it's definitely not as full-featured as the desktop app...but, since instant messaging is Glip's primary function, it does that trick just fine.

Pros: Integrated webhooks allow Glip to be an all-in-one notification system. Task features, calendar, GIF's of course!

Pros: Allows our team to quickly message each other, share files, and listen to VM our audio. I love that you can receive messages from someone else regardless of whether your are mobile or at a computer.

Cons: Glip sometimes glitches and it takes some time with tech support to resolve the issues. They are responsive but the fix doesn't always come quickly. As an integrated (free) service with Ring Central VOIP service you can't beat the pricing!

Overall: Quick communication as easy as texting or emailing with a multitude of additional features.

Glip is the best for Organization & Planning!

Pros: The 3 'tier' system. You can click on a task and have a conversation only about that task.. it will appear in the 3rd tier... or the 'shelf'. You can copy images very fast and paste them right in a conversation.

Cons: It has a bit of a learning curve. It works best if you design it for YOU. For example.. 'TEAMS'.. Can be anything. At first, you try to make a team of people... but I decided to just make it the main topic or subject. Then, Under that TEAM.. I could make a task, event... etc.

Overall: Being able to keep track of information in one place. And you can go back to it later.. instead of emailing yourself or texting people.. that stuff gets lost.

Cons: It's basically Slack and Slack has a much larger market share. I wonder if Glip can break through?

Overall: Glip is a great product but it's so similar to Slack I wonder if they are rebranding Slack? Much like Slack you can create channels and chat with members in your organization and it works great for company collaboration. I like that you can setup private chat channels to discuss issues with company employees without sharing that info with everyone. It's great that you can search previous chats and find conversations that took place in the past.

Glip is a great team messenger, similar to Slack

Comments: If you need a messaging platform for the office that does more than just let you send and receive messages then Glip may be what your are looking for. We needed a way to communicate back and forth but also a way to send tasks to each other and follow up with different projects. The cool thing about Glip is that it also ties into other programs with their integrations, such as Trello.

Comments: We keep getting messed around and they keep swapping our account manager. After we went into contract with them they changed a lot of the rules - told us we would have to pay an extra $ a month for US based support. Plus several of our lines were hacked and they did nothing to help us.

Comments: Glip recently introduced their iPad app and it is one of the most marvelous additions to team communication. I would absolutely recommend using this app. It is the best collaboration tool on the market today. It allows you to connect with groups, introduce clients into projects safely, create tasks lists for yourself, and stay on top of all of your projects. Would absolutely recommend for an SEO or web development firm.

Overall: I have used all of the PM tools on the market including Asana, Basecamp, Slack, etc. Glip works just fine for most communications, but I have yet to find a solution that eliminates internal emails. To me, most of these tools, Glip included, just adds another place to go for information. I am a Google user, and my computer relies on Google for most of our software and communications. That said, I feel that Glip, like Slack and others, is just another tool for communications. Find one you like and use it. Now that Glip is part of RingCentral, they are starting to have better connectivity between the two, but without dedicated utility training and advice, I don't know how long that is going to last.

Just as good as slack, but free!

Comments: I have been using Glip for 3 months and it has made my biz life easier and better . I love it soo much. You can invite your co-workers or employees to work or chat about specific tasks. It make things organized in your company. The best part it is free but has also some paid plans. The free plan is more than enough for me. It has everything. If you are working on tasks or projects that involves graphics. you can use Glip feature that can make it possible to make comments on the graphics you share on it.

Pros: 1-It is free 2-Reliable 3-You can store notes 4-you can do voice and video chats 5-Fast

Cons: 1-The issue with inviting guests is that I can not make them invisible for my other co-workers. 2-I would love to be able to open more than one window for each feature.

Comments: Ring Central provides an answer for my business' rather simple needs. A toll free line that is always forwarded to my cell phone and a way to distinguish incoming calls from the tool free number from incoming calls to my cell number. I do not have a need for the high level of capabilities the system offers but occasionally I have a problem I can't figure out. The representatives have been able to quickly understand what my problems have been and have been able to resolve them while I am on the line with them. I'm really pleased.

Comments: I enjoy being able to make such immediate changes in our call queues and having access to such useful data. As a call center manager, this reporting data has helped me create metrics to measure our success and set goals that have enhanced our service experience - thus, improving the relationship with our Customers. The only problem I've had was the removal of my ability to export a certain view in the reports section with the updates made to the design of the admin interface. However, RingCentral Support has been made aware of the problem and has communicated to me that they are actively working to resolve it. Fair enough!

Comments: All these glowing reviews are suspisious. From a user of many years I can say that although their prices seem good, be very VERY careful. I was misled into thinking the minutes would roll over, was told not the case only after years of service. After an hour on support line they offered to move me to a more expensive plan. Wow....thanks. When I agreed only if I get a month of free service or more minutes for this moneth to compensate was told "NO" . Way to keep customer satisfaction and a long time loyal customer happy guys!

Comments: Can you clone the reps? Their patience and courtesy is phenomenal. Many of the reps I have dealt with in off-shore locations have a language barrier, not so with RingCentral's reps.

I like the persistence of the employees following up to make sure client is satisfied and it is acceptable to close a ticket.

The only con is the words used to search for help. The terms used today for technology are not common to many baby-boomers. So when searching we may sound like we are searching for a red apple, but in fact we are searching for a green apple. Technology and terminology are always changing.

Keep up the great training!
