Comments: Overall the software has saved us tons in time and money being able to manage the different teams all in one place and easily communicate.

Pros: Easy to collaborate with a team AND keep all of my organizational and plans up to date, sharing them only with those who need access to collaborate. Very easy to organize as well. And very easy to communicate with other members of the organization.

Cons: I wish the calendar had the ability to have things recure based on the #th day of the month or by the #rd day of the week of the month, having more control over the frequency. I also think they could make it more user friendly in terms of keeping files and such organized

Glip beats Slack IMO!

Comments: Great software and it can be used for free for smaller businesses.

Pros: Tasking - Not only for yourself, but you can assign tasks to co-workers and co-worker groups. Tons of integrations Instant Message/Chat/ Texting style of communication between co-workers or clients. You can collaborate a team quickly and keep everything organized and it's as easy as texting!

Cons: Doesn't integrate with Hubspot, but does with Salesforce. Really the only downside is trying to get all my co-workers to use Glip.

Pros: Great that it has a task list. I also like the ability to annotate images, attachments, and documents

Cons: I don't have any major complaints. I have found a few minor bugs that haven't yet been resolved, but no show stoppers.

Pros: Easy to use. File sharing and versions is probably my favourite feature. UI is very user friendly too and looks good.

Cons: Not really a con but I prefer the desktop app over the mobile app. I use the desktop app daily and rarely the mobile app anymore. I think I'm just not a mobile person

Glip is great for small teams to chat and organize a calendar.

Pros: I love the ease of setup, mobile apps, and integration of checklist progress into tasks. It's very easy to add new team members and stay in touch all day.

Cons: It lacks a lot of the nicer features of Slack. Glip is a nice tool in many ways because of the simplicity and Slack can get overbearing, but sometimes it's really nice to have all the options of Slack.

Pros: A lot of built in things. Think of it as Slack more oriented business and project management. Calendar, task tracking, collaborative document edition, you name it ... all in one place.

Cons: Could we please have code highlighting or verbatim in the chat? A bit more of support for IT project management would be great!

Pros: Glip is one of the biggest assets our company has. Communication is key to success, and glip makes it easy to communicate at team and individual levels.

Cons: Sometimes, some features that are available on my desktop are not always immediately available on the mobile app.

File sharing, video conferencing, task assignment and group messaging; all for free with RingCentral.

Pros: Everyone in our office uses Glip because it's bundled with RingCentral and that's our unified communications solution. File sharing, starting calls or video meetings, creating and assigning tasks, groups of as many or few team members as you need - I don't know if there's anything groundbreaking here, but it is all included in one app, it IS all essential, and if you're a RingCentral customer it's 100% free.

Cons: My preference would be for synchronization between Glip's calendar and Google's to be a two way street. But although you can upload your Google calendar to Glip, the extra functionality within Glip prohibits updates there from syncing back to Google.

Comments: Overall great software

Pros: Glip has allowed me to keep my virtual and in-house team connected at all times. We have the ability to manage different teams, have different conversations about projects and subjects. I love how organized it allows you to be. We have an app so no one ever miss out on any important notes.

Cons: We would like the ability to temporarily block agents to logging into glip without removing them as a user. Also we would like the ability to restrict some employees from downloading the app as sensitive information are shared on Glip.

Pros: It is easy to use, and calendar is nice, many integrations make it very versatile. It is very comparable to slack.

Cons: doesn't consistently send push notifications to my phone when direct messaged or mentioned and that is a big beef. I wish it had a code snip-it like slack

Overall: it is a good messaging app, there are many out there, this one stacks up well.

I love the ability to collaborate with my co-workers from anywhere.

Pros: The Ux design is new, slide menu have all the things you need, system is fast, response to most commands is fast

Cons: I hard coded look, I would love to have to the choose to redecorate the application with my own colors and images , maybe have a shortcut menu on the main page to my fav files and notes

Glip is the most effective productivity tool I've ever used to date (despite its shortcomings).

Pros: Glip is an [almost] all-in-one, [almost] unified productivity tool takes a bunch of what I liked about Asana's task-management, and combines it with the instant messaging functionality of Slack.

Glip makes team communication, collaboration, and task/project management as simple as instant messaging. Whereas Asana begins and revolves around task-management, Glip begins with conversation, which is a much more organic way to collaborate, I think.

Glip excels in its instant messaging, which does more than just the usual chat. In addition to allowing users to easily communicate with their teams and co-workers, Glip's desktop app allows you to create and assign tasks, create and share (and annotate) notes and documents, schedule events, and attach files from your preferred cloud service...all through its instant messenger. Pretty snazzy.

The mobile app is a significantly paired-down version of the desktop app, but again, it excels at instant messaging - very response, keeps you connected to your teams...just with less functionality.

Overall, I definitely recommend Glip.

Cons: While there are a few things here and there that need to be addressed, it's Glip's calendar that hurts the experience for me. To put it simply - Glip's calendar is inadequate. More specifically, the calendar fails in its ability to effectively schedule recurring tasks and events. While it does allow for daily, weekly, monthly and yearly scheduling, it does not allow for more specific intervals. For example, our organization has an evening staff meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of every month - we can't schedule it Glip. As much as I want to use the Glip calendar personally, it's shortcomings force me to use the ever-faithful Google Calendar...which means, it's not really an all-in-one solution (which is supposed to be Glip's hook!). My suggestion to the Glip team is to look at what Google Calendar does as far as scheduling is concerned and copy it!

As far as the mobile experience is concerned, my two biggest gripes are 1) the 7-day calendar (seriously, why?); and 2) the inability to sort/filter tasks. Aside from the above, it's just ok. As mentioned previously, it's definitely not as full-featured as the desktop app...but, since instant messaging is Glip's primary function, it does that trick just fine.

Pros: Integrated webhooks allow Glip to be an all-in-one notification system. Task features, calendar, GIF's of course!

Cons: Notes are a little hard to organize. Would like some batch features for managing files, teams, tasks etc.

Overall: Improved communication tools, feature set that improved workflow.

Pros: I love glip and having it available on my phone makes it easier to communicate with my team when I am away from my desk.

Cons: The product is very good at making it easy to communicate with team members. We have tried several different platforms and this works the best.

Wish I could use it on mobile. They no longer support my Android 4.

Pros: I like that it keeps it all outside your Outlook so you don't have to go between mail and calendar. I don't use my calendar so I just have my task and when I finish it, it disappears!

Pros: Allows our team to quickly message each other, share files, and listen to VM our audio. I love that you can receive messages from someone else regardless of whether your are mobile or at a computer.

Cons: Glip sometimes glitches and it takes some time with tech support to resolve the issues. They are responsive but the fix doesn't always come quickly. As an integrated (free) service with Ring Central VOIP service you can't beat the pricing!

Overall: Quick communication as easy as texting or emailing with a multitude of additional features.

Glip is the best for Organization & Planning!

Pros: The 3 'tier' system. You can click on a task and have a conversation only about that task.. it will appear in the 3rd tier... or the 'shelf'. You can copy images very fast and paste them right in a conversation.

Cons: It has a bit of a learning curve. It works best if you design it for YOU. For example.. 'TEAMS'.. Can be anything. At first, you try to make a team of people... but I decided to just make it the main topic or subject. Then, Under that TEAM.. I could make a task, event... etc.

Overall: Being able to keep track of information in one place. And you can go back to it later.. instead of emailing yourself or texting people.. that stuff gets lost.

Cons: It's basically Slack and Slack has a much larger market share. I wonder if Glip can break through?

Overall: Glip is a great product but it's so similar to Slack I wonder if they are rebranding Slack? Much like Slack you can create channels and chat with members in your organization and it works great for company collaboration. I like that you can setup private chat channels to discuss issues with company employees without sharing that info with everyone. It's great that you can search previous chats and find conversations that took place in the past.

Comments: If you need a messaging platform for the office that does more than just let you send and receive messages then Glip may be what your are looking for. We needed a way to communicate back and forth but also a way to send tasks to each other and follow up with different projects. The cool thing about Glip is that it also ties into other programs with their integrations, such as Trello.

Comments: We keep getting messed around and they keep swapping our account manager. After we went into contract with them they changed a lot of the rules - told us we would have to pay an extra $ a month for US based support. Plus several of our lines were hacked and they did nothing to help us.

Comments: Glip recently introduced their iPad app and it is one of the most marvelous additions to team communication. I would absolutely recommend using this app. It is the best collaboration tool on the market today. It allows you to connect with groups, introduce clients into projects safely, create tasks lists for yourself, and stay on top of all of your projects. Would absolutely recommend for an SEO or web development firm.

Pros: Began using Glip for intraoffice messaging. It has made it easier to communicate with others while they are on a call and need answers. It has also been used as a message board to announce individual accomplishments and build morale. A great addition to our office communication system.

Overall: I have used all of the PM tools on the market including Asana, Basecamp, Slack, etc. Glip works just fine for most communications, but I have yet to find a solution that eliminates internal emails. To me, most of these tools, Glip included, just adds another place to go for information. I am a Google user, and my computer relies on Google for most of our software and communications. That said, I feel that Glip, like Slack and others, is just another tool for communications. Find one you like and use it. Now that Glip is part of RingCentral, they are starting to have better connectivity between the two, but without dedicated utility training and advice, I don't know how long that is going to last.

Overall: Great alternative to other team instant communication tools. It has a huge amount of the external communications and expending. There is a team discussions , calendar events, document directories and more and more. Try it with your team and keep using it everyday.

Comments: I have been using Glip for 3 months and it has made my biz life easier and better . I love it soo much. You can invite your co-workers or employees to work or chat about specific tasks. It make things organized in your company. The best part it is free but has also some paid plans. The free plan is more than enough for me. It has everything. If you are working on tasks or projects that involves graphics. you can use Glip feature that can make it possible to make comments on the graphics you share on it.

Pros: 1-It is free 2-Reliable 3-You can store notes 4-you can do voice and video chats 5-Fast

Cons: 1-The issue with inviting guests is that I can not make them invisible for my other co-workers. 2-I would love to be able to open more than one window for each feature.

Recommendations to other buyers: It is best for web dev companies but other companies that need a collaboration platform can use it too

Comments: Ring Central provides an answer for my business' rather simple needs. A toll free line that is always forwarded to my cell phone and a way to distinguish incoming calls from the tool free number from incoming calls to my cell number. I do not have a need for the high level of capabilities the system offers but occasionally I have a problem I can't figure out. The representatives have been able to quickly understand what my problems have been and have been able to resolve them while I am on the line with them. I'm really pleased.

Comments: I enjoy being able to make such immediate changes in our call queues and having access to such useful data. As a call center manager, this reporting data has helped me create metrics to measure our success and set goals that have enhanced our service experience - thus, improving the relationship with our Customers. The only problem I've had was the removal of my ability to export a certain view in the reports section with the updates made to the design of the admin interface. However, RingCentral Support has been made aware of the problem and has communicated to me that they are actively working to resolve it. Fair enough!

Comments: Janna was my technical support representative and she was excellent. She had a great attitude. She spent time with me and was helpful in explaining the steps we were taking to check my device. I'm not very technically proficient so I found this very helpful. Once we realized the device I was sent was likely defective she immediately ordered another one and had it shipped over night. Great support experience and RingCentral needs more just exactly like her. Thank you!

Comments: I procrastinated for weeks before calling in to fix my phone. It had an issue that wasn't so bad I couldn't use it and I just kept putting it off.

When I finally called in to get assistance it was super easy - next time I won't wait weeks before I call to resolve my issue. :-)

Customer service is great! I am very glad I switched to Ring Central, not only do I get better service but for a better price!

Comments: RingCentral is wonderful for a small business. I love that I don't even have to have a phone. Just my computer. Also love the RingCentral Meetings. I use it to create training videos for my team. They keep adding features, which is awesome!

Comments: All these glowing reviews are suspisious. From a user of many years I can say that although their prices seem good, be very VERY careful. I was misled into thinking the minutes would roll over, was told not the case only after years of service. After an hour on support line they offered to move me to a more expensive plan. Wow....thanks. When I agreed only if I get a month of free service or more minutes for this moneth to compensate was told "NO" . Way to keep customer satisfaction and a long time loyal customer happy guys!

Comments: We work in a virtual team environment and this tool makes it easier for customers to contact us regardless of where we are. Its affordable and pretty easy to use.

Their international dial-in numbers don't always work so we get a bit frustrated with that and call quality for international isn't always the best, but it is way more affordable than an international call.

Comments: Can you clone the reps? Their patience and courtesy is phenomenal. Many of the reps I have dealt with in off-shore locations have a language barrier, not so with RingCentral's reps.

I like the persistence of the employees following up to make sure client is satisfied and it is acceptable to close a ticket.

The only con is the words used to search for help. The terms used today for technology are not common to many baby-boomers. So when searching we may sound like we are searching for a red apple, but in fact we are searching for a green apple. Technology and terminology are always changing.

Keep up the great training!

They are very thorough and have even followed up a few days later (on more than one occasion) to be sure everything is performing smoothly.
