### "Excellent for knowledge management and team alignment"

July 6, 2026

4.0

My experience with Evernote Teams has been very positive for what we use it for: document organization and collaborative note-taking. It’s reliable and intuitive for non-technical team members, which is a big plus. It’s a great tool if your primary goal is knowledge management and keeping a shared library of information, though we do sometimes have to use other tools alongside it for heavier project management needs.

Pros

Evernote Teams is fantastic for creating a central 'brain' for our team. I love how easy it is to capture meeting notes, store project documentation, and keep everything synced across devices—the web clipper and search functionality are real lifesavers for finding information quickly. The shared notebooks and spaces make it easy to keep everyone on the same page without a ton of administrative overhead.

Cons

It can definitely get expensive, especially compared to some of the more all-in-one project management alternatives. I also find that while it's great for note-taking, the project and task management features are a bit basic; if you're looking for advanced Gantt charts or complex workflow automation, it might feel a little limited for the price.

### "Evernote, ever present across all my devices"

August 3, 2025

4.0

I have been using Evernote for 5 years now. My overall experience have been very positive, I really like their environment and the multi-task approach covering notes, calendar, task reminder, etc.

Pros

Ease to use, multi-task, real-time edition, access easy across devices. Its all in one approach is great.

Cons

Value for money, it is quite expensive compare to alternative tools. It is true that it’s multitask environment is very convenient, however, some users choose to navigate through multiple tools to avoid the costs.

### "Zero Stars"

December 24, 2025

1.0

Pros

It was solid, worked pretty well until their unbelievable manner of them deciding to raise their subscriptions and made it practically impossible to cancel.

Cons

Zero stars. Evernote's Scrooge of software—Christmas Eve, mid-subscription, caps on exports, legacy links nuked, cancel button buried. Support? ‘Check settings.' Closed through January six. Bah Hum Bug.

### "A trustworthy center for coordinating outreach and content notes."

April 29, 2025

5.0

It’s helped standardize how we plan content and track outreach outreach efforts, so we can keep our messaging consistent across social, email and reports especially with a lean team all wearing a few hats.

Pros

Evernote Teams provides a centralized space to capture meeting notes, outreach drafts, donor communication templates, and campaign plans. I particularly love the tagging feature and shared notebooks even though we’re a small team it makes it a walk in the park to keep everything in sync, even when remote.

Cons

The formatting can also come across as somewhat barebones compared to Notion or Google Docs. Also, syncing sometimes lags if more than one person is editing a note at the same time.

### "Great for Teams But Pricey"

December 26, 2024

4.0

Evernote Teams is a solid tool for organizing and sharing information in a team setting. While its reliable and feature-rich, the cost and occasional syncing issues hold it back from being perfect

Pros

The shared notebooks and team collab features are excellent. Its easy to organize, share, and search through notes across a team

Cons

The pricing feels steep for what it offers compared to competitors. Also, the UI can feel a bit outdated, and syncing occasionally seems to have delays

### "A simple and reliable digital notebook, but limited beyond note-taking"

September 19, 2025

4.0

For straightforward note-taking, Evernote is dependable and practical. It’s best suited for users who want a simple, digital notebook, but those seeking project management or advanced productivity features may find it limited.

Pros

I’ve been using Evernote since 2018, primarily as a creative writing tool rather than a task manager. It works well for organizing ideas, drafting content, and capturing notes in one place. The biggest advantage is its simplicity. It’s easy to get started without needing tutorials. Synchronization across phone, laptop, and desktop is fast and reliable, and offline note-taking also works smoothly. I also appreciate that Evernote allows attaching PDFs, images, and audio files, which makes it feel more versatile than a paper notebook.

Cons

While generally reliable, I have encountered occasional errors, such as double typing issues or content not saving properly when working on very long notes. These glitches were frustrating but happened mostly with extended drafts. Another limitation is that Evernote doesn’t go much further than being a digital notebook. Unlike newer productivity tools, it lacks advanced features for task management, collaboration, or flexible databases.

### "Good But Could Be Better"

May 31, 2025

3.0

The overall experience with Evernote Teams is generally mixed, depending on your team’s size, structure, and use case.

Pros

What I liked most about this team and collaboration tool was the ease of use, along with the functionality.

Cons

Granular user permissions are lacking. You can’t easily assign different access levels (view, edit, comment) per user per notebook.

### "One of the best content management services available"

October 15, 2021

5.0

Evernote Teams looks great and works well on the platforms we used it on - mostly Windows 10 for business plus the individual's choice of smartphone / tablet version of it. Its intuitive navigation and powerful scan and search features were its main selling point for us. All in all, the price is very fair. But with ever more subcription-based services used in the workplace, we ended up switching away from Evernote Teams simply to save costs. Our new service that we replaced it with is not nearly as sleek or elegant, but offers the same essential features - OCR and search as well as task management - at no additional subscription costs. If I was the sole decder and/or money didn't not feed into the decision-making process, I'd have stuck with using Evernote Teams as it is really great at what it does.

Pros

Hands down the OCR. Optical Character Recognition is the name of the feature that allows Evernote to scan the images you take and thus enable its powerful search feature to find content on scanned documents and even pictures. That makes for one of the most powerful organisational features I have yet come across. Even the subscrition costs are very user friendly, given what you're offered. I loved the dashboard, too. Very sleek and easy to both navigate and customize.

Cons

Personally, it all boils down to integrations for me. I loved the year-ish that we were using Evernote. Integrating it into Microsoft Teams work well enough and it looked the way it always did However, using Everote Teams within Microsoft Teams meant that we were already paying the subscription for Microsoft 365 and then paying Evernote Teams on top of that. We ended up saving us the costs for Evernote Teams by switching to Microsoft OneNote which is included in the abov mentioned subcription.

Alternatives considered

[Microsoft OneNote](https://www.capterra.com/p/227211/Microsoft-OneNote/)[Microsoft Teams](https://www.capterra.com/p/168668/Microsoft-Teams/)[Microsoft To Do](https://www.capterra.com/p/227173/Wunderlist/)

Reason for choosing Evernote Teams

We ended up switching away from Evernote Teams because using the above apps from the Office 365 suite enabled us to cover the same needs at no additional subscription costs per users, as we were already using Office 365 for word processing, spreadsheeting etc.

### "Modern Collaborating Software"

October 13, 2024

5.0

Overall, Evernote Teams has been great productivity software. Collaborating through it is easy and the most important feature - to do's is awesome. I highly recommend Evernote Teams for med to large teams that need to be on same page.

Pros

I like how easy it is to collaborate through Evernote Teams. I can create a calendar of my work and my colleagues can look at the work I am responsible for and they can see what they are responsible for. I also like how modern the design is ; and how intuitive it is. Anyone can get used to Evernote Teams in a matter of days. I also use it to collaborate in out writing jobs and it does very well on realtime document management also.

Cons

I wish it was lighter but it takes significant computing resources. It can be noticeable especially when we are on low-power devices and have to multitask ; else its not noticeable. Other than that, I can't think of any cons.

### "Efficient Collaboration and Productivity"

March 18, 2024

4.0

My overall experience with Evernote Teams is positive, highlighting its strong collaboration features, flexible task management, and efficient communication tools, which collectively enhance team productivity and project management, despite the minor drawback of occasional notification overload.

Pros

The most appreciated aspect of Evernote Teams is its robust collaboration tools, which streamline communication, task management, and project tracking, enhancing overall team efficiency and productivity.

Cons

The least liked aspect of Evernote Teams is the potential for overwhelming alerts/notifications, which can disrupt focus and reduce efficiency if not managed properly.

### "Jotting down notes made easy"

November 14, 2023

5.0

As a person who forgets easily, scribbling down notes help me keep track of alot especially tasks, overdues e.t.c. Evernote has become a real help in this for both personal or business related journals without having to carry my diary around. After all I have my pocket diary which is evernote

Pros

I started using Evernote almost 2 years ago and I can attest it is one of the best product I have used soo far. With Evernote Iam able to effectively do a range of things. I am able to jot down notes and have them automatically saves when I close the app. Iam also able to protect my notes with password for my own privacy or even use fingerprint recognition to unlock the app. Collaboration has become profoundly easy. We can work on notes together as a team and can chat on realtime using the app. Embedding attachment of things such as pictures and voice notes is definitely a plus for me. Evernote allows me to set reminders and sync my notes online which make it easy to edit them

Cons

Everything about Evernote is an advantage to me

### "Make your day productive"

August 28, 2023

4.0

Evernote Teams allows me to read all my notes that are synchronized without the need for an internet connection, physical calendars are a thing of the past, now all my notes and reminders are digitized with Evernote Teams, This software also helps me find notes when there are already many notes saved in this software, with its search option and filter support.

Pros

I like Evernote Teams because it saves my information through notes, it has also helped a lot to increase my productivity and performance at work, with Evernote Teams we can create a manual account or we can link our Gmail account automatically. Saving notes is quite practical with Evernote I can access them whenever I want on any device whether Android or iPhone or on a computer, and changes or if we add a new note is automatically synchronized and can be seen in real time by everyone on my team.

Cons

While I've found a lot to love about Evernote Teams, there are a few drawbacks worth mentioning. At first, I had some issues with the user interface, as it took me some time to navigate through its features. If you are new to the platform, expect a learning curve. Cost is another factor; It's a paid service, and for small teams or individuals who don't need a full suite of collaboration tools, the expense may not be worth it.

### "Note taking with Evernote "

March 10, 2024

3.0

I have used different note taking apps and Evernote us towards the bottom to average tier in terms of user friendliness and price comparison.

Pros

The simple note taking functionality works fine. This is the most basic feature offered in this app. The ease of use for simply creating and using almost as a text editor is good.

Cons

There are several features that are not very user friendly like attaching files to a note, exporting the note, no integration of apps that can be directly used to email the note. The search functionality barely works and it is not obvious when the search is carried out within a note versus across all notes.

### "Why Should You Choose Evernote Software?"

February 26, 2023

4.0

I have been using Evernote for my own personal agenda for 5 months because I am a busy man and i have experienced how great this application is in terms of being very user-friendly, but after that time, i recommended it to all my co-workers and even my boss and till now they are enjoying it's benefits.

Pros

Evernote is a software that anyone can use especially people with different tasks or those who like their things to be well organized due to it's attracting features like tasks management and tracking, very good synchronized system, notifications about any update on your notes and so other different features. In addition to that is that it does not need any kind of skills to be installed or in terms of being used, only just your device (computer or phone) then you're good to go.

Cons

Like other softwares, Evernote also has some limits like when it comes to the free version, -Limited note size is 25MB which turn to 60MB per month-Only 2 devices is allowed on free version-Evernote doesn't sync with Office or Google Docs as well as OneNote or Google Keep are, But in general, i would still recommend Evernote 100% more than any other note taking app.

### "The best personal note taking App - still medicore in business use"

November 23, 2018

4.0

I love Evernote for my personal Projects. I would not trade it for any other application in this segment for my personal and private Projects. In Business Projects my enthusiasm falters as the rugged edges which I am happy to tolerate in spare time projects are getting annoying fast when there is team efficency or pressure from clients. In my Opinion Evernote business has been somewhat bolted onto the most popular Note taking and management application, trying to utilize an extremely versatile and powerful core for business cases. It leaves me with a somewhat stale taste as I whish to use a business application which is not the add on to something else but an A priority project that receives maximum attention. Then again in the time I used Evernote I have been positively suprised time and again and I am sticking with this, at least for some more time.

Pros

I use Evernote personally for about when it first emerged on Iphone and Ipad. Since then it went up and down and donw and up, it was a Rollercoaster Ride. Sometimes I came close to quiting, the again I carried on with it. Everything became more severe when I started to invite Colleagues and Friends for personal and professional Projects. a great Boost always was - most knew the product and had next to zero animosities or better to put it the other way round: Even the not-so-much bunch of people were okay in colaborating via Evernote. On Top of it, it was available on their favourite Platform (no one had to switch form Android to iOS or vici versa). Everyone knew how to use the editor, things didn't look to pretty at the start but then, after a while, like a game you get the hang of after a couple of rounds, it got better and better. Tables, Images, even embeded Videos. It all got together. Also we could choose which data would be encrypted and which was okay to stay unencrypted. Thinsg synced fine and we also had an integrated chat. Basically, Evernote had covered a lot of the needs we had as a team as wel as a band of friends in private Projects. The Features you require are there and they are easy to use. Also, the team behind evernote is quick regarding upcoming Platform changes and usually Evernote is up to the newest iterration of the Operting System it runs on verry quickly.

Cons

Speaking of the features which are there...as it is often the case with growing platforms, there are some which are just not...my type of thing. Document templates might be something for some people, but not for us. Also, the Features are not homogenous on the different platforms. Thats right, if you want to do search-and-replace you better do not try to do it on a mac. Right Features like this are missing. Inviting People also can get a real pain in the arm in case they use Evernote privately without a busines account, as can the abominable dialogue for sharing notes on mac. It is absolutely clear that evernote is incredibly ambitious by supplying native clients for iOS, Android, Windows, MacOs PLUS a Webfrontend. This realy is awesome but it leads to raged edges when you are power user, save a team of such working cross Platform un complex projects.

### "Using this software is often like keeping an elephant in your house..."

February 25, 2021

2.0

The bottom line of why I use this is to keep track of literally hundreds of notes -- mostly client information like login information and passwords and such (that can be password protected in the app, a huge plus!). I also started a few years ago using it to track incoming paper payments (checks) so that my accountant can see what has come in and record it appropriately -- so one notebook can be shared easily without worrying about any unnecessary information ending up in too many places. Though it's painful to use a fairly complicated program (bloated?) to do this, it does it quite well and I haven't been able to find something else to do the same thing.

Pros

While I'm not the biggest fan of this software/service. There's one reason I've continued to use it and probably will continue for a while: it's good a creating easily searchable notes that are (mostly) available on any device I might have in front of me at any time.

Cons

It seems like the creators are constantly on a quest to make this software more bloated with features that I have little to no interest in while continuing to ignore seemingly simple glaring problems. I can always count on a major update causing some new irritating problem. On top of all that, it takes up so much computing space -- I often find this "simple" database program sitting in the background eating up GBs of RAM and making my processor spin. And worst of all they seem to think it's okay to take up valuable space in my menubar (on a Mac) with their stupid, useless Elephant logo in case I might want to create a new note and not know how to open up the program to do that. I've asked repeatedly in customer feedback and have seen others ask as well for the OPTION to make this go away and yet it remains for some inexplicable reason.

### "I wish I'd started with this"

April 5, 2022

4.0

Overall, this is my preferred note and information and personal project tracking application.

Pros

It's never crashed on me and lost all of my data, like the other software I was using before I found this. It's easy to get started with, has useful features like tagging, linking, formatting which has allowed me to easily note, link, and track my work.

Cons

The biggest complaint I have is the device limit on the free accounts. It's not enough for my convenience. Currently, I work in a hybrid home/office work model, so this means I have a work machine, my home machine, and that's all I can use. I cannot add my phone in order to be able to take evernote with me to meetings, etc.
