It's not useful for taking notes, but it's ability to collaborate when uploading and sharing files, pictures, voice notes and others is a real positive. Another major upside is being able to sync and access my notebooks and files from any device even when I'm offline. I also love the fact that it integrates with Outlook, Dropbox, Google Drive, and Salesforce. It's ideal for brainstorming and creative sessions. Cons I don't like how documents can only be edited on a desktop, especially for someone needs to think and take or edit notes on the go. The storage and file upload limit on the free version isn't enough. Meanwhile the subscription cost is a little high relative to what it's offering and other products on the market. Syncing is quick, organizational features are varies (folders/notebooks vs tags) and various types of media you can upload is very helpful. Cons My issue with Evernote is that at times it feels way too bloated with features. There's just too many stuff that's niche and not everybody needs which hinders performance and usability. Also, the UI is inconsistent across multiple platforms, like Windows, web and Android. Cons The only thing I wish I could change is more formatting in my notes and if I delete a note on accident, I wish I could go back to retrieve it. I have accidentally deleted a few notes and have lost them forever. Pros Evernote has such a great Search feature. With the vast amount of notes you take over time, you will eventually want to look through your notes and find some topics from before. Evernote does this brilliantly with even an OCR technology which is designed to find words from even pictures! Cons Unless you get the premium version, you can also sync Evernote with 3 devices. In this day and age where you have multiple devices - work computer, home computer, personal mobile phone, work mobile phone, personal tablet, etc. this can be quite costly for normal users. We also use it for checklists that we need to use daily when working on whatever we are working on. It's a great place to store information and solve questions that come up day to day. Pros It's easy to search for certain notes without having to scroll through a giant list. Notes can be shared with multiple people and given permissions allowing people to just view or edit as well. Cons Sharing a note with someone is easy, but sharing a note with someone and allowing them to edit it is kind of confusing. If you try to share through the program, rather than just a link, the invite takes a while. But if you share with a link it opens up in your browser rather than the program itself. I just wish sharing a note was faster and easier to allow the person to edit inside of the program itself. Pros There are so many positives with evernote but simply being able to log into multiple devices, make a quick edit from my mobile devise and have the app synchronise seamlessly is really great. Cons Really hard to find a fault with evernote as I have never had a problem with the app. However it would be nice to define templates so that I don't have to spend a few seconds setting up each page the same way at the start of my work day.
