Writing the menus and back end is just as easy. And from a reporting standpoint, if can't do what you need it to do already, the Focus team will work with you to create a solution. Unexpected.

Pros

Simple super easy user interface. Our staff could literally walk up to the screen and start to use it without any training. Not on purpose, but it illustrates how intuitive it can be.

Cons

There are very few limitations to the integrations. That's about it really.

### "Great POS! User Friendly, Great Reporting"

Pros

Focus is extremely customizable. Customer service was a huge help training me on how to use and customize our POS system. Customer serivce has also been quick to respond day or night. The reporting with this POS is great! We were able to set up daily sales reports, labor reports, pmix reports sent directly to me and ownership via email every morning. Reporting is again, customizable to any sort of report my business needs. Our Pub sells alot of Merchandise and being able to create different canvasas with ease for different departments of our business is a huge plus. This POS handles high volume with ease. Lastly, its afforable!!

Cons

I've yet to find any cons with this POS worth noting.

### "Focus POS - Disappointing Service & Product"

Customer service, including owner of the company can't be bothered with their customers, once they have sold them the product. They are not patient with unresolved issues and often just say, oh well, things happen or often like to revert to improper training of staff on issues that we have no control over. They want their money yesterday and they don't want to hear from you. I would not recommend this company merely because of bad customer service and tech support.

Pros

Easy but no upgrades and does not have layers of ability for programming extensive menu with modifications for large scale restaurants/markets.

Cons

Always glitches in the system... won't allow dates, system randomly changes dates when attempting to run reports, retrieves old frames when not requested. Items disappear that have been programmed.

We have enjoyed working with the Focus team and look forward to using this system in our future restaurants.

Pros

Focus is easy to use and the support we receive is fantastic. Any questions are answered right away. Focus really cares about our business and helping us to succeed. The digital sign feature and the ability to view reports on my phone are nice.

Cons

We have not found anything negative at this point. It would always be nice to pay less for the system but Focus has no on going fees and free upgrades. That fits right into our budget.

Pros

Very easy to use while still providing enough flexibility for Order Entry built for restaurants Focus's ecosystem has many COVID-proof solutions including QR Order and Pay, Handhelds, Online Ordering and cloud-based management.

Cons

There isn't much to dislike - all management has worked in the restaurant industry and truly understands an operators needs

Avoid at all cost. After 4 years, and spending amount in fees and hardware, we are abandoning this dinosaur. If you want to feel like Back to The Future is playing in your local theater, then this is the software for you. But if you want modern interfaces, and expanded feature set that is intuitive and easy to train your staff on, this is NOT your software. Avoid. I've directed the development of software for 20 years, and this software is bloated and largely useless compared to other options we have in 2018.

Pros

There's very little to like about this software but if it is working correctly, it handles high volume transactions well. Pretty much any baseline POS will do this, so it's hardly a ringing endorsement.

Cons

It's dated. Maybe design and developed circa 1988. Promised free updates and enhancements - none of which have been material in 4 years. Pay extra for everything, support, features, remote access, loyalty, etc. You name it, it is an add on. The software and company are likely going out of business soon. You need 50-100 hours of training just to navigate how to extract a report from the system. There are layers of features nested in super complex screens and this software clearly has not even attempted a modern makeover and has been far surpassed by nearly every major POS and all cloud based ones.

We used Focus for 5+ years at our business and we are so glad we got rid of it! They charge 15% of your total outstanding gift card balances if you want access to your old gift card information. For us this came out to over $10,000. They literally hold your data ransom so they can squeeze more money out of you! We now use Toast which is better in just about every way. I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE YOU NOT TO USE FOCUS POS!!

Everything is terrible. Not recommended. After they’re paid, they will not help you.

Pros

Nothing at all! We want full or partial refund. We Want to give back their system. We would have not wasted our money on this if we had known how much of a headache it is.

Cons

Software is reliant on a sales rep to teach us and show how to enter items. The sales rep is not accessible after he sold us the product. It’s extremely hard to get the sales rep back in to set up and show us how everything works after he got paid. We even called corporate and no help from them either. No support any levels! Phone numbers on the web page is the same for everything, cannot get a hold of anyone else.

im not happy and if i could get my money back i would.

Pros

easy for bartenders to use and that's about it.

Cons

all of the features that should be included in a 5k price tag are additional costs. you should be able to pull up a report and click on that number and it should take you to that information ,,, holds true for other things you want to see. it should all be linked.... you should not have to back out of it and research... CLICK AND BE THERE. You should be able to have a negative tab account , that is the owners priority to do so not your to dictate.

i chose it because the sales pitch sounded good but the realty is far less than expected it to be.

The biggest pro of this system is affordability. It performs all the needed functions for a point of sales system.

Cons

This system is not as user friendly as other systems I have used in the past. It take multiple actions to perform some actions.

### "Worst Customer Service yet!"

This was our first POS so we don't have much to compare it to. But the service is the worst. Out of all the contractors we deal with this one gets the gold medal for terrible service. They can't be bothered to do anything in a timely manner, charge you for every little thing they do, send invoices late and call non stop to get their money, and they charge a monthly fee to do absolutely nothing. They seriously act like you are calling them at 3 am for no reason when you call for anything. They suck.

Pros

Not much. It isn't difficult to use, and has a few features that are nice.

Cons

The service is just awful. Nothing gets done in a timely manner.

Transformed my almost 45 minute closing time and reconciliation to a 10 minute procedure. Sales on my phone app without me being there all the time. Alerts from the restaurant automatically when something doesnt work, or someone gives a discount or voids something.

Pros

I was looking for a simple software and also affordable. This company went above and beyond the call of duty to have my menu and digital menu screens built within 3 days after another company could not deliver what was promised. Focus Pos has many more options and integrations that I could have ever imagined. I even have the pos integrated to my security cameras which RSPOS also Installed.

Cons

Sometimes they don't even charge me for the support calls if they are simple and quick fixes.

Pros

I liked how you can set up quick tabs for things that you sell the most of and I like how you can customize it the way is best for your restaurant.

Cons

I don't like how the bartenders have a different screen than the servers. When working both positions and having to train someone can effect the way the see how the system works.

Pros

You do not have to go into the restaurant on a closed holiday to run a ticket. I had to do this with my old system for payroll purposes.

Cons

My 20 year old rapid fire system was much easier to use. You can't even properly do a half and half pizza properly. Orders also cash out automatically which has cost me customers.
