I had all my websites and projects there and was desperate to find a proper platform that suits my needs (both for small projects with free subs and for bigger ones with paid but more balanced plans). Mailrelay was the perfect match to be honest. In the past year that I have been using them the deliverability, tracking and features have been really superb. Pros Great technology, user interface, features (they keep adding new ones every week!), amazing balance between quality/price, with proper options for free users but great incentives to move to a paid/prepaid plans. I have been using other email platforms for many years and this is by far the best one. Cons The only cons is not being aware of their existence before. With so much noise in social media and websites it was difficult to discover them. But I'm glad I finally made it. This is the main reason why I would recommend Mailrelay. Pros Mailrelay's free tier is so high, that it's likely that you won't paid for the service until you really grow up - and even then, its pricing is really cheap. Also, it has a ton of learning material and their support service is helpful. Watch out for their blog and their onboarding emails, they deliver a lot of useful tips and tricks. What I like the most about their blog, is that they don't only focus on giving advice on email marketing topics, they also cover digital marketing in general. Speaking more about the app, I think it's important to remark an interesting technology that they have: some time ago, they implemented "Smart Delivery", a feature that sends the emails first to the most active customers, making sure that your IP reputation is the highest possible. Cons Features and design-wise, their competitors are far more advanced. It's UI/UX is really old, and makes navigation a bit hard. And the automation features are quite limited compared on other big players on the market. So far, this program meets our modest requirements well – once a month we send out a newsletter to our mailing list members (a short information about upcoming events, when and what is planned). We find Mailrelay's ability to add links to a specific section of our website (tour descriptions, calendar, or ticket purchase) very useful. Cons The issue we had to deal with – writing dates in the text – when publishing Mailrelay turns this "number row" into an active link. That's why we write the names of the months in words. Cons UX and user interface are poorly designed and difficult to use. Also our spam ratio grew a bit when using the service. If you have a problem just email them and they respond very quickly (I've never waited for more than 2 hours!). There are so many features that you would pay for with other services but, unbelievably, this is FREE! Amazing! I've recommended this service to so many people. A great way to start for free. Cons I simply couldn't make it work. I had all kind of delivery problems and many of the emails didn't get to inbox. I was fairly inexperienced at the moment, so it was probably because I didn't setup everything properly.
