May 3, 2021 5.0 Pros The dashboard gives a lot of information about the correct use of SEO. Before I used ContentKing I knew what overall SEO was, but I didn't know all the details. ContentKing showed me how many different details play a role in SEO. At the beginning my website scored a mere 700/1,000. Now it scores 986/1,000. My website is really SEO healthy. When I first started, the chat box actually had a human that was operating it and they didn't just point me to their not-so-helpful support page (like everyone else). + Seeing Updated Pages - As an agency I thought, ok so it crawls the pages more than once a month, big deal. Then I realized it gave me an opportunity to show clients changes by tracking those especially for moments when the CMS doesn't show the changes you made. + Pretty awesome they just integrated with GSC. Cons \- It's not immediately easy to see what you could use it for if your not too technical. When I first started using it, I just thought, "what?" why would you need to crawl a site that often, then it dawned on me. - It has the same issues that most of these tools have. And optimize the content of those pages so I can increase qualified traffic and conversions driven from those pages. I like Conductor Searchlight ability to compare search rankings of my website to other competitors. And quickly show issues such as broken links or excessive keywords so I can work with my web developer or copy writer to fix those issues. Cons Conductor Searchlight depends on Google API to collect organic keyword search data. And integration with web analytics software such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics to correlate organic keyword rankings to success KPIs such as landing page traffic or product conversions. So, dependency on Google APIs for search data and analytics software for KPI tracking are the two things I like least about this software. Pros Simple to integrate, quick, ample instruction on use, and it does a great job letting me know exactly what internal issues to work on, where to find the issues, and which pages are interrelated to those issues. Cons There may be some lists that are not downloadable, when I'm researching a deep dive into redirected links, for example. It's too manual to export lists to my team. Pros The content editor which helps you write SEO optimized texts is fantastic. As much as I dislike SearchMetrics in general, I think they nail that better than anyone else has. Cons The UI is awful. It's very difficult to find your way around and everythign is split into modules. The tool is also German which shows in the English at times. I also love the interface, it's a lot more user-friendly than a lot of the other SEO auditing tools on the market. Cons Pricing model - we love the software but would prefer it to be a monthly subscription so we have a clear indication of how much we can budget for this tool. Cons It would be helpful if the service catered to websites less than 1000 pages (it does but the service is more oriented towards commercial websites). The average local business usually has only 30 pages.
