"Improved risk and control management"
Overall: Significantly better idea of what needs to be protected and how we are going about doing that. I sleep better at night knowing that we have the procedures in place to not only to reduce potential threats, but how to react in an organised manner when an incident occurs. Its going to happen to everyone at some stage
Pros: Cybersecurity is a huge issue for us all and ensuring that we know where to use our limited resources is essential. BCMfort has ensured that the IT department and business users have aligned strategy to increase business continuity and resiliency. The tool allows us to take a proactive view on risk and mitigate potential threats to reduce the possibility and impact of an incident. We like that all BCM, Risk and Control information is consolidated and easily retrievable. The application is very simple to navigate, they really have got that right. BCMfort have being very accommodating and open to discuss features to help build a better solution.
Cons: Like many startups they are open to new ideas, but as the solutions becomes more mature we'd like to see more stability. We have seen very little to no down time, but as BCM solutions are not used frequently, we dont want to learn a new system every 12 months.
"Uncomplicated by highly effective"
Overall: We needed a BCM solution to ensure that we limited the downtime of our systems as our customers require there data and communications at all times.
Pros: Very easy to setup and maintain, yet it gives is a powerful overview of how each department is dealing with risk. The control libraries also ensured that we left no rock unturned, that with our combined experience means we have done ur best to ensure all channels are secure and supported. Compared to a number of other solutions we looked as it is very affordable and the combination of editors and read users means that everyone in our organisation has access to the relevant information.
Cons: We'd like to see an API on the improvement module, this will help us with automated alerts.
"Easy automation of business resilience processes"
Overall: I was able to customize my ISO 22301 and ISO 27001 processes with very little assistance from the technical staff.
Pros: It's a complete package. Covers the entire spectrum from Risk Assessment to incident management. Makes it easy to comply with ISO 22301 requirements.
Cons: Lack of support in Southern Africa. The support center is in Canada and sometimes one has to wait for hours before getting in touch with the support staff.
