I recommend without any hesitation! Pros Having customers connecting to our website was a big focus for us, and thanks to Argo, we've seen that our customers from USA were able to access our website 47% faster. That single factor made all the difference. Cons There is not trial offer for Argo by CloudFlare, which would have been great for people wanting to test the solution before making a purchase. Pros Integration with Splunk/SIEM, going through the data, preventing attacks and scrapers has been very helpful for us. Cons The GUI take a little to get use to, but overall, I don't have many complaints about it. I only really had disappointing experiences with Cloudflare. This is one of the very few negative reviews I've ever written, but I did want to share this as I stopped using Cloudflare years ago, because of this. By the way, I am yet to find a CDN that I'm really happy about, but at least my current CDN doesn't break my site. It does slow it down sometimes though. So there's that. Pros Well, I don't really like Cloudflare at all, since its purpose should be to speed up websites, but after years of using it, I found in most occasions (at least for me - based in Europe) it had adverse affects. Cons Cloudflare was slowing down my websites, causing conflicts and the typical "Error 502 - Bad gateway" error!! When I stopped using Cloudflare, I never had this issue anymore. Having content available all across the world speed up peoples time to get to the content, especially if are geographically remote to you. Beyond that you can protect against DOS attacks in various forms. Additionally it can hide your IP, which can be very helpful. Cons Clients may not like when it checks to see if you are a bot attack or not, but honestly its very minimal, but people are impatient sometimes. I believe that it is very safe and gives excellent protection with its firewall. I like that the website’s performance is improved with reguards to the speed with Cloudflare’s CND. The speed of the websiteis increased with the optimizating feature like Brotli compression for SSL. Pros Cloudflare is incredibly simple to install and operate. It gives fantastic security with its firewall and page rules which you can set at your convenience. There is a free tier service accessible. It boosts up the website performance with its CDN. I think that it is highly secure software to work. The domain can be set up very smoothly and DSN management is great. Cons The blocking operation of Cloudflare is great but it might prevent some honest users. The other issue is that if the website is huge 100MB upload for the free tier is very short. You can also optimize your website for faster loading just by pressing a few toggles in their interface. The interface is clean and nice, and very friendly to use. We have all of our websites and all of the websites we made behind Cloudflare, and I can't imagine how it would be without it. In one case it sped up the load time by a factor of six. Pros The basic version of Cloudflare is free and yet does more than some other paid for solutions. All of our pages are behind Cloudflare and it has saved us amazing amounts of bandwidth. We rely on it when our comics go live as we can get quite a number of people reading them simultaneously, and without Cloudflare caching it would be a disaster. Pureweb at the end surprised me with the fact I could not have a secure website and I must go to Clouf#$% to get the SLL going. Which I did and now my website is nonsexist, gone will not load. No help from either party Purweb Platform and of course CloudF#R$ because you cannot contact CloudF. Hours and hours gone!!!!! Do not go near Cloudflare beware Cons There are no pros. They have no customer service number, no chat. I needed immediate help and the only number they have to call is sales which I called. The voice mail said if you are being attacked click 1. so I did that and guess what. If you are a client getting attacked, they don't care you go to voicemail. WORST EVERY. This company needs to be shut down!! The Domain name service was quite easy to use, I linked it to Squarespace which was easy enough - becuse there's a tutorial on it on both Cloudflare and Squarespace. February 22, 2019 5.0 If you have high bandwidth costs you can cut them at least by half because if you properly set Cloudflare to cache everything, your website will be served from their edge servers which are closest to the client and that leads to super speedy websites for the client which is what we all want when building websites. I need to mention also that their documentation is really good and all the problems I had I successfully fixed by myself and when you need support they are always available by ticket system or even by phone. Pros What I love about Cloudflare is that it is a very versatile piece of art which works incredibly with all my websites. I have a small blog and have been using Cloudflare for a few years. I help me speed up my site and block malicious bots trying to log in or any other attackers. It also has included a web firewall which is great. If you need per page customization of their settings you can always use page rules or even add apps to your website which extend functionality. It really has a lot to offer for a free price. Cons I don't like that their free plan is somehow limited but that is normal in the business world. If you have special needs you will certainly need to pay a few additional page rules or even pro package which is not so expensive but gives an extra few features like image optimization and several options to even speed up your website more. Sometimes it can actually slow down your website because of all additional code added but that is rarely a case and probably is a result of bad theme or bad programming practice.
