We struggle financially often and TADs charges a $50 late fee in addition to a stop payment fee after they failed to take our payment within their policy timeline. I’m disgusted by any company that charges absorbent fees to people falling on financial hardships. We have paid in full every month but have been a week or so late and charged $50 fees each time plus the $5 administrative fees they charge for processing payments online. If I had a choice, I would stop all business with TADs but this is the 3rd party billing our child’s school chose. Pros I don’t see any pros in a company that charges ridiculous late fees to parents who made late payments due to financial hardships. Cons TADs fees are ridiculous. They charge a $5 administrative fee every time we submit an online payment and a $50 late fee plus an additional $50 stop payment fee for insufficient funds. The ease of use is probably the most notable feature. Our teachers appreciate Educate as it is cloud based so that they are able to do tasks such as grading and posting assignments from locations other than school. Pros Educate is easy to learn. There is a learning curve that comes with any software that is newly introduced to an Educational Institution. Once the user becomes acclimated with Educate, the system is straight forward in obtaining or entering information. It is easy to navigate as the Dashboard layout offers many types of daily used information at a glance. The other area I really appreciate is the support team. They are excellent in service and follow up. The support alone is one of the most important reasons our school appreciates the Educate SIS. Cons I cannot say that there is anything we dislike as many of the areas we would like to see added would fall under customization to our school community. Reasons for choosing TADS We made the switch because Educate would integrate with TADS Enrollment. This saved time in transposing data. All was good until about two years ago. They must have fired all but three customer service reps as it's been average 35 min wait times for over two years. I've told our private school to replace them, as this is not working. I'm so thankful it's my last year to have to deal with TADS. If I had another year I'd refuse to deal with TADS and would hand deliver my tuition. I cannot get back the tens of hours I've lost on hold to this pathetic service provider. Pros I don't understand how this company is in business. COVID had nothing to do with their problems they went to hell about two years ago. I've used for about eight years and use to be fine. I've been on hold today for over 48 min, on Friday it was 36 min. Cons ZERO customer service on average over 35 min wait times for questions. The automatic withdrawal is convenient and reliable. Additionally, I am able to print out tax paperwork from previous years, in addition to the current year. Cons As long as the withdrawal date is set up appropriately, you shouldn't have any concerns as a consumer. I've have a really positive experience using TADS.
