Pros

Shopvox is a very important part of our business and we rely on Shopvox every single day. The Customer Support has been second to none compared to other companies. We have dealt with in the past the features and upgrades just keep on getting better if you're a small medium or large print shop I highly recommend using Shopvox as it will scale with you regardless of what stage of business you're in we have been using Shopvox for about nine years now. #Shopvox

Cons

The Customer Service when we first started, it was not the best but throughout all these years, they have really stepped up their game to be on top of their product. I wish we had an open API system so I can integrate it with our AI business, software, and integrate, sending, and getting in receiving invoices and estimates.

It is a program with many tools to help our business run smoother. Reps have been helpful with helping set it up and us understanding it.

Pros

There are a ton of features that are super helpful to our business for both clothing and signage printing. From quoting all the way to invoicing.

Cons

The system can seem overwhelming and daunting as there are a ton of features that sometimes takes a bit of time and effort to setup. ShopVox reps have been needed and very helpful to setup

### "ShopVOX is more valuable than my right thumb."

ShopVox is definitely been a game changer in our business. I have gone through six previous shop POS operations systems... and none of them hold a candle to ShopVox. Every member of our team lives in ShopVox 5 days a week... We have been using ShopVox for the past 8 years and always scratch our head wondering what we did before.

Pros

The ability to manage all aspects of our shops performance, from quoting the customer to provide a proof and each step of the production management. The customer support is extremely responsive and we are usually able to connect directly with a support representative within 2 to 3 minutes.

Cons

We would like there to be a little bit more control on customizing some of our reports, ShopVox has been able to build custom reports for us as well. The help desk is very responsive as well it would be nice if they could connect virtually and walk us through support or tech issues we are having.

Overall my experience has been good. I've been using shopvox (and their earlier version) since 2012. It's great that we can pull up all details about any job since then almost instantly.

Pros

The ability to manage everything about our custom production in one place. From quoting/pricing and invoicg to production managment, it's all tied together.

Cons

It would be great if they could expand on their api so we can try to automate more of of the integration with our production systems.

### "Fantastic Online System"

Shopvox is our first online system so I don't have anything to compare it to. However, We made the transition from paper dockets to this program back in July and it has been a complete game changer! I am so happy that we decided to go digital and use this platform. It has helped us stay on track and move through jobs quickly. It is very easy to keep track of projects and see what stage they are at if someone calls to inquire about a specific job. Thank you Shopvox!

I love how user friendly it is! Their support team is fantastic and are always quick to help.

Cons

Inputting everything was a hassle but it helped us get more organized. Nothing to do with the program itself!

Pros

The User help options are well designed with immediate responses to chats. The Application is easily integrated with our financial mangement tools offering simplified management reporting

Cons

The cost associated with adding a second user to the system. A small business plan should offer at least 2 individul users designed to handle 2 indipendent user logins sharing the same business data.

Customer service is excellent. There is very little wait time for a representative to answer questions. The reps are knowledgeable and friendly. I like the live chat option that shopVOX offers.

Cons

On a few occasions there have been some quirks when importing to QB Desktop. However, when I do run into an issue (which is very rare) a rep is always able to fix the problem quickly.

### "ShopVox is a good solution that still needs a lot of work"

Overall, we like ShopVox because it allows us an easy way to put together a Sales Order and Invoice. But we do not like it for any pricing, margins, or any of the other "features" they offer. It feels like it was built by a programmer who has never learned any UI/UX. And I suspect that is exactly what happened.

Pros

I love how easy it is to start a new order and enter all the order information. ShopVox makes it very easy to create a new job, fill in what is being ordered, and it allows us to send the quote/sales order/invoice directly to the client through ShopVox. That is great, and we are very happy with that!

Cons

We are not happy with the backend of ShopVox. It is extremely difficult to figure out how to price items correctly. The backend system is not user-friendly at all. I highly recommend they hire some quality UI/UX designers to do a complete overhaul because it is very painful to use as it. We have been using ShopVox for almost two years, and we still haven't been able to get our pricing entered correctly, or have the correct options for different products. The system also is built on certain assumptions that we're definitely going to do it the one specific way that they imagined every sign shop should operate. But we don't do it that way, so many of the options/features/settings don't work for us. As a result, we use ShopVox to create our invoices, but we enter all of the information in manually - everything including the product name, fabrication instructions, and pricing. ShopVox serves us well as far as having a place to build an invoice and bill the customer. But it does not make it easy to enter our product information in or figure out the pricing. The backend is WAY too confusing and would require a full-time employee to be immersed in the system for a very long time in order to get it up and running the way the ShopVox team envisions. We even hired someone who does ShopVox backend work exclusively to help us get the backend up and running, and he said it would take him many months to get it done - and he already knows what to do! This is ridiculous.

My overall experience with ShopVOX has been great. Customer service is excellent. The product solves a lot of problems I had within my business. I would recommend it to others looking for a solution to their shop management problems.

Pros

The built in pricing was huge for me. Prior to using ShopVOX I used a spreadsheet based price book. Even with formulas and macros built in, it was still a process to accurately estimate jobs. Providing quotes to customers is an extremely efficient process with ShopVOX. It requires a little work up front to get pricing set, but once complete it is very nice. I also liked the "kanban" view for jobs. This helps to prioritize projects and keep them moving through the production process.

Cons

It could be easier to navigate between the "Jobs" page and the "Home" page where the remainder of the workflow (quotes, sales orders, invoices) live. They seem to be separate and that makes sense to some degree, but a more seamless transition from both areas would be nice. I would also like the functionality of having a CRM directly in ShopVOX. Right now, I use Hubspot for my CRM to manage contacts, schedule meetings, etc. If ShopVOX had that functionality it would truly be the only software needed to run a print shop.

### "Quotes getting lost in Cyber space"

It can be a very difficult piece of software to navigate and the UI could do with some streamlining. Some things are very difficult to locate. However, for most things it works for us...which is why the quoting system (a huge part of why we use it) is so frustrating.

Pros

The ability to manage almost all aspects of our works from sales leads, quoting (sort of) proofing, production, work orders etc.

Cons

I am so frustrated with the assistance received from Shop Vox in regards to quotes not getting to customers - they are not even in SPAM. Both my husband and I have contacted them on several occasions due to quotes not being received by customers. We have done all of the things they instructed us to do, even engaging an IT professional to assist, yet we still have probably 6 - 7 customers a week not receiving their quotes. Shop Vox tend to absolve all responsibility of this, telling us to speak with domain and service provider all of which we have done. We use other software for other parts of our business all of which are always received by our customers. I think this is something Shop Vox needs to explore, especially since this is a major part of our business.We need some solid guidance/fixes for this.

Absolute poor service, that permeates from the top, I've tried to resolve an issue for 3 months now, and whilst our account was suspended, I'm told the only time they will not charge is if I cancel.Had a message from the \[sensitive content hidden\],who's response is if you don't like it, go elsewhere. I agreed and asked for my data, to which the request was ignored.Your business is at risk with this company.

Our subscription terms state that monthly subscription rates will be billed every month ongoing and will cease once a customer cancels the account. We give our customers the ability to cancel at any time; there are no long-term contracts. And if any issues or problems occur with your subscription, we recommend contacting our billing team right away. After investigating the details of your experience, it was discovered that your account had several past-due invoices. After many attempts that our billing team made to settle the matter, there was still an unpaid balance that remained unresolved after several months. ### "Signage CRM system second to none"

ShopVOX takes over the day to day administration of running the company, from managing sales leads, quotes, sales orders, projects, invoicing, automatically sending statements, product pricing with profit margins, materials, artwork approval, email sync, email templates, online support, monitor the team in real time, ability for customers to have their own login portal to view jobs, invoicing, artwork & order online... the list goes on! I've used a number of CRM systems and trained people on CRM systems for previous roles in the past and always the blown away with how good Shopvox works. 100% recommend to anyone, its a no brainier!

Pros

The ease of use. They have thought of everything you need and put it in a simple interface that's user friendly and easy to follow, its a powerful bit of kit they simplifies running a team of people / company.

Cons

There is not much not to like to be honest, I guess initially its a lot to get your head wrapped around, i.e setting up materials and products, but I think they have an on boarding option for this. But after that its plain sailing.

The Clarity Software is very dated, cumbersome and full of glitches, lost count of the number of times I've been in contact with support, some of the glitches you just have to live with as there is nothing they can do. Plus its an expensive set up, you have to buy standalone computer to run it (its not an online system so cant access it on the go) and all the features are modules so you you pay a MASSIVE about for all the features, don't get me wrong its a powerful system, but ShopVox offers so much more.

Pros

I can't think of much. Truly, nothing good about it at all for our business. Perhaps this would work well for a small business with only a handful of products.

Cons

We've been using ShopVox for over 2 years now so we have a lot of (terrible) experience with this product. We have had nothing but trouble since using this program. It is not easy, it doesn't flow well, it doesn't make sense. They create problems and then make the fix a paid "feature." For example suddenly everything runs together even when you type it out in nice paragraphs. In order to not have this happen they say you must pay for this "feature." Unbelievable. The communication is horrible, not only language but just general understanding. They blame things constantly on a local server then will report an outage weeks later. It takes them months to fix seemingly simple things. When features they have don't work, they just say not to use it. Worst service I've ever had with any type of software. They corner you into using it since all your data is now in their "cloud" and who wants to start over with another software program yet again. We can't even build pricing, it simply doesn't work. It doesn't connect well with quickbooks, I can go on and on, it causes us more work than if we were to write this out by hand. WE have to manually price out everything because we're unable to successfully build pricing forms.

### "Excellent Software"

We did our own set up; it was complex and lengthy - if I had it to do over again, we would definitely commit to having their experts do the set up. The learning curve was longer that it needed to be. We are thrilled with the quality of the product and the excellent customer support ongoing. I personally HATE chat support but they are so good I use it whenever needed.

Pros

We have been using SV for almost 4 years, and we are delighted with the software, which replaced an outdated product that had become almost useless. Set up was complex - I recommend you use their services unless you have staff knowledgeble about both your operations and software installation available to dedicate exclusively to set up. It's worth it! Easy to track progess of sign build outs, printing projects, and installation; good invoicing with payment options, seamless integration with Quickbooks Online.

Cons

I wish that all lists could be modified by admin users (specifically purchase order status codes). Second wish is that all fields in transaction lists could be sorted.

Pros

shopVox is a powerful, complete business management system. It really gives small business owners like me all the advantages of the management systems big businesses have access to. The comprehensiveness of the system is remarkable. I think the organisation it imposes on a business would assist any small business improve its efficiency and productivity. The business intelligence dashboards are excellent and give a daily snapshot of where the business is. ShopVox gives us control over our processes and communication; this has been a real benefit in the day to day running of our business and has noticeably reduced stress. In fact we are now able to handle more work with less people and know where everything is and at what stage of production. This is something we struggled to do without ShopVox. We have gone to an almost paperless workplace thanks to the facility of being able to display the job board both in the office and in the factory. No more missing pieces of paper! It has been a surprise to us how much we like being in the cloud! I am able to go home and have dinner with the family and log into the system from home if I need to catch up on any matter. Support via Chat is good. shopVox is improving the program regularly and systematically so it is getting better all the time.

Cons

Along with comprehensiveness of the program comes a steep learning curve. Unfortunately, the training material is not up to the standard it should be. In my opinion the current training material needs to be re written by a professional training-manual writer. And while videos are good at giving a snapshot of a process they are limited as a training tool as they are unsearchable. There is no readily accessible Definitions Table of the terms used (that I know of). This is particularly important for users in other countries like I am as the meaning of some everyday terms in the USA can have a different meaning in other places. Because of the poor training material some users may be put off by the necessary steep learning curve which would be a shame given the power of shopVox.

We are a small business manufacturing and installing signs in Berkshire. ShopVOX is exactly what we need for our business. ShopVOX allows us to log and track all our customer interactions, manage their accounts and manage our internal workflows to ensure signage is manufactured and delivered on time and on spec. Our busy team are able to quickly and easily log sales leads, create and revise quotes, convert approved quotes to sales orders, create production workflows and raise sales invoices. Invoices can be exported from ShopVOX into our accounts at the click of a button. The team at ShopVOX are very helpful and the most impressive and valuable asset this company has is their ability to listen to customers and upgrade their software quickly to suit customers ever-changing needs. There have been numerous occasions when we have suggested a improvement and we've seen it go live within weeks. Keep up the good work ShopVOX!

Cons

Nothing at present, and whatever we don't like about the software is usually changed within weeks when we put a reasonable case to ShopVOX.

The initial setup was a lot. But our business has a lot of moving parts/products. We have about 23 employees. In house we do screen printing, embroidery, awards, and signage. We also do promotional products(out of house). Our Coach was SUPER helpful with the initial setup though. The 24/7 Chat support has been great as well. Took everyone a month or 2 to get the hang of it and we are constantly trying to tweak and improve but I'd recommend it to any shop that does screenprinting, embroidery, awards, or signs.

Pros

The amount of features and being able to have everyone on the same page at all times is priceless. From syncing with quickbooks to writing orders to overseeing production... and all in one cloud based system. They have apparel catalogs already integrated and they get updated automatically from Sanmar, S&S etc... so no need to adjust pricing anywhere unless it has to do with your labor. The job board and being able to filter it as needed for each department is great. Proofing system and e-mail templates are great. Being able to write a quote/sales order/invoice and email it over with a payment link is great.

Cons

As with any software it will never be perfect. But SV has been good to work with us on getting features/bugs implemented and fixed. They have not been able to accommodate everything but they are usually pretty good about at least letting us know if its possible or not. There are still bugs/features we're waiting on but not hills to die on. We had to pay a developer separately to integrate the API with our website and UPS worldship. That ran us close to 5K so that was a bummer.

Reason for choosing shopVOX

ShopVOX is cloud based and is a lot beefier when it comes to the features. We loved the way Printavo looked, but for what we needed it just wasn't enough. The amount of customization ShopVOX offers was a big seller.

That their developing even though it has being quick, the need of specific companies hasn't being fully develop.

ShopVox is build for my company nitch, Quickbooks is good, but it doesn't have features like the proof approval process for example.

First of all, it wasn't mobile friendly, it was too complicated to understand, and I just didn't like the way they handle support and updates. Too slow the way they update back then, Idk today. But that's the reason why we switch when shopvox was actually signvox.

Shopvox has been very easy to learn and navigate. There have been some issues making changes, and creating specific reports, but overall, a great platform. There have been some bugs with reports and BI but for day to day quotes, order processing, invoicing and reporting, it has been great.

Pros

Cross referencing data through searches, and related tabs, along with reports and lists. Ability to expand uses for production, web ordering, inventory, time management/tracking for production and more.

Cons

Limited CRM (Sales) platform with less reporting for this area of business. Custom reports can be complicated and convoluted. Setting up and using the 'Job and Production' segment can be time consuming and can become more time consuming than value for the data entry.

Pros

So many things to like and big upgrades from our current software. - Estimating is a great feature. Takes a good bit of work to setup initially, but the long term benefits will be totally worth the effort. - Love the job board and the way jobs are tracked through each step of the process. Gives us the ability to see exactly where jobs are which results in fewer status update phone calls from our PMs. They can get the info they need in a few clicks. - The analytics are great. We use Quickbooks and have never been able to look at this much info about the status of our shop. How many quotes are out there, how many have gone to production this week (or this month), how many quotes have converted to orders and much more. Makes my job easier when looking at sales. - Just the fact that basically our whole shop is in one piece of software. Accounting, estimating, purchasing, production management in one browser window.

Cons

\- Would like to see more options in the estimating area for custom signage. The ability to price signs with multiple pieces, such as "faceplate" and "backplate" will be huge for us. I think this is being developed. - This is picky, but just some general UI tweaks would be nice. When you bring up the job page everything gets a bit squished and hard to read.
