I am able to quote projects more quickly and accurately. I am also able to follow up on quotes, get customer information quickly. Shopvox is a great tool to keep all information on a project in one place.

Pros

We are able to quote jobs with very accurate cost measurements. We are able to send quotes and invoices to customers very quickly. Accounts receivables are easy to manage and follow up on. Production workflow can be managed very well with this software, down to as much detail as you want.

Cons

Navigating the software sometimes requires too many clicks, too many screens, in particular when quoting. Updates and changes occur to the software often without any notification.

Pros

The overview of where each job is at, the quote & artwork proof portals, and exact calculations of profit margins on each material/product. So powerful to make good biz decisions.

Cons

I wish you could combine quotes or sales orders together. And I wish I had more time to learn to utilize all the powerful features they offer.

Regarding wishing you had more time to learn more features, we suggest tying one new feature each month. Pick something like sales lead management. Really use if for the month, then add another feature the next month. By the end of the year, you will have more organized shop!

Pros

The vast array of features they offer that enable you to manage and organize just about every aspect of your day to day operations.

Cons

There are a fair amount of bugs/glitches, which is to be expected for a software company constantly rolling out features. But, they respond quickly and fix bugs in a timely manner.

Pros

ShopVox is constantly updating and adding new features to the software which makes it easier to work with our customers! The software definitely streamlines things on our end, so we can continue giving our customers great service.

Cons

ShopVox has a few bugs now and then where some features are down for a couple hours, but you can instantly report it to their techs using the chat feature and it's usually resolved fairly quickly.

Job tracking

Pros

ShopVox has been a wonderful addition to our busy office. We use it to track production and accounting for our medium sized business. We love that it will work on the signs side of our business as well as the textile side. With one click you can see where any job is in the production process. It has allowed our team to stay on top of orders and not miss deadlines...and alerts us early on if there is an issue with a product or production. Their support staff is nothing short of incredible. There is a live chat feature and they are usually quite quick to respond and help...even after hours. If the person you get doesn't know the answer they will find someone that does. They are also constantly improving their product. If there is a feature that you feel needs to be added and you mention it to them they genuinely try to make it happen.

Cons

ShopVox was a little difficult to set up...but it has been very worth the effort that was required.

Time savings for everything from sales leads, to quoting to production to pick up, better consistency in service, presentation and pricing and fewer human errors as we're only recording the information once.

Pros

We have fewer errors, more consistency in pricing and have freed up so much time we were wasting on repetitive tasks that ShopVox eliminates. I love that anyone can access a client file with ease and know exactly where we are in the process and give the client the information they are looking for. Allows us to provide better service to our customers and eliminates a pile of call backs for our sales staff. The newly added Canadian SanMar and AlphaBroder catalogues are a huge time saver. Very responsive customer service 24/5.

Cons

I think it started as a sign industry software and they are still tweaking it for the apparel decoration industry but I am seeing improvements and upgrades all the time. It is still functional for apparel but the language is geared towards signs.

Huge time saver and more accurate invoicing.

Pros

Easy to use with excellent support when we run into trouble. Cloud based so can be accessed anywhere even in the field at a job site. Initial setup was shorter than expected. Huge time saver.

Cons

Initial setup time. However, ShopVOX assigns new users their own "Implementation Coach" to help out - and at no charge too.

Its functionality and the features/options available makes it possible to customize the listing of any product. THere is no software similar to it in the industry. Its very flexible.

Cons

The learning curve. One has to be tech savvy to figure out all the features however, if you take your time reading the documentation and the tutorials, you'll be ok.

This has sped up our entire turn around time and eliminated 75% of our mistakes we had before switching over (from paper order forms)

Pros

It is MADE for signs, graphics and etc. We never have to worry about if they understand what is going on, because each of them have worked in the industry. If we have an issue they will schedule an online/phone consultation and help walk us through everything.

Cons

Some times the software can be a bit laggy... Training on the software was a bit harder than expected because there really isn't a training manual. I still learn new things the software can do each month.

The fact that its cloud base and all my information can be accessed anywhere in the world. Most times my customers don't even know i am not at desk when I respond to them.

Cons

I can't point out anything cause any issue I had as far as my memory was resolved withing minutes

Pros

This program does EVERYTHING...even if you think it doesn't, it does. There is so much to list i don't think i could do it all. This program is the central nervous system for our company. Everything starts with ShopVOX, continues with shopvox and ends with shopvox. We take payments, organize work flows, quote, invoice, we do everything but actually make products in shopvox....It's incredible and VERY well thought out.

Cons

The program is SO robust that setting up the libraries can be a little daunting. Luckily, their helpdesk is very knowledgeable about the product

Pros

It keeps everything nice and organized, and once you get the hang of the software's UI, it becomes easy to not only manage orders I have, but I can also easily see what my coworkers have been working on if I need to pick up a project mid-production for any reason.

Cons

I cannot get a job list of just items I am assigned to work on as a project manager without getting an excel file or pdf that includes all open jobs, so I can't easily populate a to-do list for shop meetings, but while it is a bit of a nuisance, it isn't extremely detrimental.

Pros

Love this program so much. We used to just hand type all of our numbers and really on track through Quickbooks and now with this software, we are able to not only track everything easier but also increase prices and target where we are losing. This has helped make us more profitable, accurate and organized in our day to day business.

Cons

The online portal tends to "think" a lot and on days when updates are made it makes it frustrating. But overall, not many complaints.

Pros

ShopVox helped us all be on the same page on a project by project basis. It has made us look much more professional to our clients. Especially when sending quotes and asking for project approvals. The reporting features are also a huge benefit.

Cons

ShopVox communication system is great, but adding more features and re-formatting how the information is displayed would be greatly appreciated. Adding "daily digests" for tasks. Having a 'Slack' or ' G Hangouts' style messenger that integrates with projects would be a great addition.

Streamline production control and management so we work more efficiently. Powerful pricing tools for products so things are priced out correctly and consistantly. synchronization with accounting system so no more double entry on orders. This product has saved us lots of time and helps to eliminate errors in the ordering and production process. Has completely changed the way we run our business and it is so much better!

Pros

Production control and management. Wide range of supported product types, Signs, Banners, Apparel, Promotional, etc.. Customer interactions and cPortal option. Flexible and powerful product pricing tools. Integration into accounting system (Quickbooks, Xero). Catalog integration with vendors. Job boards and reporting features.

Cons

basic eCommerce function (but improving). Not able to directly edit PDF documents for production or customer views. No CSS control/override for web views or eCommerce. No limits on input fields for pricing/configuring products.

\- versatile - holds key sales & product info for future use - multiple users help shop work flow - everything in one location (ie: contact info, quotes, work orders, invoices, PO) - allows anyone on shopvox in our shop to convert quotes to WO and then to invoices, allowing turnarounds faster. - great way to keep customer/contact data

\- setup does take some time (we are not completely setup yet) - didn't receive alot of initial training

Overall my experience so far has been fairly great.

Pros

ShopVOX makes it easier to learn a new job and position and definitely helps keep the team organized so long as everyone keeps up on their end, and even makes it nice to know who has the job at that point so if they need reminding they can get it.

Cons

Some parts are a little convoluted but this could be me as a new member learning. It definitely takes time to get used to and sometimes has minor errors (they pop up to let you know something went wrong though)

We're still in the implementation stages and there are a few glitches to iron out but it is already saving us time and money.

Pros

24/5 troubleshooting and support for myself and all my staff Sync's directly to QB so we don't have to duplicate entries We enter order once as a quote and simply convert it from there, Never have to write the same order twice, minimizing human errors.

Cons

No current Canadian supplier catalogues so we have to enter all our pricing information every order. Having glitches in QB and Email that tech support can't understand or replicate. It stores a lot of information stored but it can be overwhelming to have it all appear, would be nice to 'hide' lost quotes and completed invoices. Would like to re-use sales and invoice numbers that are deleted so the sequence is maintained in QB.

Regarding hiding lost quotes and completed invoices - could you shoot me an email with a little more detail about this? I don't believe there's anything we can do about the voided sales order numbers - but it is possible to de-couple the Sales Order and Invoice number inside shopVOX. I'd be happy to explain the details via email.

Hi Martina There is a shopVOX Go App available in Apple store as well as in Google Play. Download it. This app has only complementary features, not every thing you can do on the web. We will be adding more features to this app as we go. But shopVOX web app is to be responsive design, meaning it will adjust to the device form factor. And you can access everything on the web app on a phone also. Just open Chrome/FF browser on your phone and login to shopVOX with your credentials and you will see how it works. My personal favorite is the payment link that you can send customers. Super convenient. This software can do so much and is easy to learn. If you have any questions customer service is available thru chat.

Cons

In the past there have been a few issues with communicating with quick books but the issues have been resolved.

ShopVox has significant variables to plug-in for shop labor and materials. They also give us the ability to create custom catalogs for our clients needs. Other than a few minor issues with QB transfers, the software delivers.

Pros

Love the functionality and the ability to plug in multiple variables for shop time and materials into the pricing templates

Cons

There are no plug-ins for pricing Channel Letters other than an Outsourced product. Would be nice to be able to calculate pricing by variables when producing in-house.

They are very responsive and helpful. This company cares about customer service and it shows.

Pros

It is very thought out and customizable. From estimating to job tracking to invoicing it speeds up the process and is perfectly designed for sign shops.

Cons

It takes a bit of work and time to set up and enter products. Although it's well worth the time in the long run.
