Group Systems Architect Plastics Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Solid backbone to build your QMS on" October 18, 2024 4.0 Pros The system provides us enough structure to build a solid QMS on, but we can also customise it enough to work within our more unique manufacturing environment. We had a good experience recently migrating from an on-premise install to their SaaS product. The whole process was relatively smooth and happened on time and within the expected budget. Cons The main downside about moving from an on-premise install to the SaaS version was the reduction in speed. Obviously we understand that there are many factors which can affect this but I believe it should have come up in the scoping as something that could be an issue. Review Source HD Heather D. When we come up with product development ideas, they are not welcomed as pathology is a small user Pros It does everything you need to manage a laboratory following ISO 15189 standards. The CAPA module is the best I’ve seen in comparison to other software. Cons Account managers. The I have found them untrustworthy multiple times selling us unnecessary training packages, project management support and then recently we were informed with only 6 months notice that we would need to spend a huge % more to move our database to the cloud. For the nhs 6 months is not enough time to get funding. We should have had more commentary leading up to it and supported through it. Everyone country wide was quite shocked at the approach. Reason for choosing Ideagen Quality Management The capa module was fully customisable and exactly what we needed to meet the standards. Ridiculous considering the nature of the software. Pros I doubt we'd still be using this software if it was easy to get off of it. software itself is fine but we've been forced into an overpriced SAAS model with very little support. Cons Customer support has dropped off a cliff in the last few years, we feel almost tricked since we're now on a SAAS model which has reduced local control. It has irrefutably enhanced our QMS significantly with improved structure, efficiency and effectiveness. It is also supporting our accreditation preparedness, especially the documentation, audit and CAPA modules. Pros Simply put Ideagen quality system does what it says on the tin and more. It provides a platform for total quality system management in an efficient and effective manner without any fuss. It's highly flexible and can be tailored to individual organisation needs. Cons Wrapping my head round setting up of some module functionalities takes some getting used to for my liking. The most difficult part is getting end users engaged in the system. Pros I love the usability of the software. It is very intuitive, and has all of the features we wanted, or didn't know we wanted! The configurability of the system has also been a huge positive for us. With our old system we weren't able to fully configure, and the elements that we could configure required an IT administrator and/or a particular licence. I will bullet point the rest: Ability to link related documents Setting review dates for documents Dashboard Limiting permissions/viewing ability Ability for end users to leave feedback on documentation Automatically PDFing documents Embedding codes Training/help is within the system Overall the software is miles ahead of the others, with so many positive points! Cons The cons: There is not an option to select the information shown in an issue report The forms are "fully configurable", for example some information has to be there, and it has to be at the top of the form rather than in another section Kickstarting workflows is a little more clunky than the "pass to" function The "if" option could have a lot more power (but I understand this is a recent development) You can't do a blank search for all documents (filtering with topics for example) Alternatives considered [Ideagen Quality Management](https://www.capterra.com/p/155354/Ideagen-Quality-Management/) Reason for choosing Ideagen Quality Management Qualsys had the full package in comparison, and was a lot more user friendly. Pros The customer support is always fantastic and fast. Our account manager is always very helpful and points us in the right direction whenever we have an issue/question. The platform is very secure and complies with our Cyber Essentials Plus certification and it makes it easy to collaborate with IMS functions easily across multiple sites. Pros The documentation module cause you can always go back to the documentation using the document reference number and you can even put a URL or hyperlink instead of attaching the actual documents. Customer support, and service comprises the other half. As much as I love the Qualtrax Software, it’s the support and employees that make your company. Every single person I have interacted with has been not only helpful, and friendly, but genuinely kind. The support we have received is stellar and I would recommend Qualtrax for that aspect alone. The site for customers to submit desired features for possible implementation tells me that you take the needs of your customers seriously; that you value our suggestions and needs, which is rare in a company. Usually companies will say they want your feedback but it’s all talk. What you have done to engage your customers in the development process is impressive. Not only did you set the site up you give us feedback on the status of our suggestions. I am truly impressed by your company as a whole. The employees that have worked to help us over the years with setup, updates, renewals and issues have been amazing, I can’t thank them enough. Pros The ability to customize the database to fit our needs. The fact that Qualtrax is constantly updating and striving to add features that will benefit their customers is another desirable aspect. I've never worked with a software company that was so invested in there product. Your employees take pride in the work they do and it only takes five minutes of talking with them to see this. Cons There are some features in regards to the workflows that fall short of allowing us to be truly compliant. Reason for choosing Ideagen Quality Management We are constantly updating our product data sheets and needed the ability to customize and create our own workflows. We also needed Software that offered a Validation book, so that with each update the validation book would be available for us to use. Qualtrax offered both of these features. Only one of the other products we looked at came close to what Qualtrax offered, but at 4x the cost, with a limited ability to customize and no validation book. Qualtrax simply stood out among them as the best fit for us. I'd also like to say that I didn't feel we were getting the standard "sales pitch," there was a straight forward honesty that I truly appreciated from the sales staff that has continued to prove true with everyone I've dealt with. With Qualtrax able to made many of the burdensome tasks automated with immediate assignment to support staff and the training is assigned and completed on the individuals time making the process more efficient. Pros The support, the added training through the customer portal, fast support on resolution of questions, the lists goes on and on. Cons Software none. Pros Q-pulse is a very good tool for helping us manage key areas within the management systems, such as CAPA and document / asset control, at least it is for them that know how to use it. Our SLA process is now much easier with a standardised form giving no options for interpretation by the supplier on what information is needed. Pros easy to use portal, which you can access all aspects via one single log in. All the relevant information is at your fingertips via the dashboard which is easy to use. Cons The portal can be slow at times due to busy usage, but not excessively so. Qualtrax set out to simplify compliance and have produced a robust product that delivers solid value. If you are hesitant to abandon your current compliance strategy, don't be. Even the best in-house systems can't compete with their ready-to-use solutions. Adoption is quick because end users immediately see that every process Qualtrax takes over is more elegant, tidy, and traceable. There's always room for improvement and Qualtrax recognizes that. So, the company listens to the voice of the customer and they continuously work to improve their software. I don't think there is a better product on the market that comes close to Qualtrax's value, ease of use, and functionality. Pros Out-of-the-box document control, robust email notification system, configurable. Automates compliance management specific to individual standards. Built with ISO and TNI compliance in mind. Easy for end-users to learn, making adoption painless. Qualtrax customer support and corporate culture are the best I've experienced. The entire team is dedicated to creating a premium product that really addresses an important need. Cons Workflows are useful and configurable, but building them can be difficult at certain steps. " June 22, 2020 4.0 Qualtrax (the company) has been nothing less than one of our top suppliers. Customer support personnel through executive management always have been available and willing to discuss accomplishments and continual improvements regarding the system. There is a constant dialog between Qualtrax and the customer regarding user experience(s). Qualtrax (the software) is such a unique and fluid product. Allowing for compliance while having the flexibility to cater a software to our business principles is exceptional. This flexibility made the learning curve far less than it could have been. The system is very user friendly and straight forward from a user perspective. The system is as good as you are creative. Unfortunately it is not used throughout the organisation resulting in conflict sometimes with other document storage IT systems and we occasionally have to duplicate documents. Pros It does not over complicate things and I especially like the fact that users can use their Trust log in details and can access documents via our Intranet without logging into Q Pulse itself. Much more time efficient. Cons I would like a more comprehensive reporting suite, or a simple report building tool. Currently we download a large chunk of data and export to Excel to manipulate it there to our requirements but it is more tedious than using a pre-defined report Review Source ST Shawn T. We as a company moved from a paper based Quality System to EQMS and straight away seen the benefits. The admin burden has declined and we have gained better control and visibility of our Quality System. This also enables us to focus on future projects knowing that we have a strong backbone in the form of EQMS. Pros The most liked part of the system is the way that it has been designed by Qualsys. Very user friendly and easy to follow modules that serve the purpose. The EQMS system provides an excellent platform to enable the company to grow without the admin burden of managing documentation and training. Qualys provides exceptional support throughout the implementation of all EQMS modules. Qualsys tailor the planning, configuration and testing to suit the company's requirements. Cons The EQMS system has been great addition to our company's growth. hence we have not had any areas within the system that we disliked. Reason for choosing Ideagen Quality Management We chose EQMS because of the supplier Qualsys and their exceptional service and support.
