### "CLOCK SHARK was the answer to my time-keeping and scheduling needs"

My overall experience w/ Clock Shark has been excellent. I tried several different time-keeping systems before I was told about Clock Shark. Each product I tried didn't quite fit my needs. There was always something missing or wasn't working for what I needed. Clock Shark does it all from being able to keep time, create as many job cards as you want, customize your own JobFlow and tasks, post comments and pictures and attachments on individual job cards w/ no limits! I've been using Clock Shark for about 2 months now, and I have probably close to 300 job cards created, and double that of pictures! This saves memory on my laptop from holding so many saved pictures. I just keep them on Clock Shark now. I know if I ever need to pull up a picture or pull up an old job, all the info and pics I need are there in Clock Shark in my job cards list! Clock Shark also has the fastest response time to questions by their customer support team. They really want to help you learn how to use Clock Shark and they have sent me custom help videos on how to do something if I ask. Their response time is un-matched.

Pros

Clock Shark does everything you need to schedule and manage multiple projects. I run a graphic installation business, and we can be at as many as 50 different locations in one week, or just a few locations the next. Doesn't matter, Clock Shark keeps every job organized. The JobFlow system helps keep jobs organized by which stage they are in, and you can filter through the jobs based on stages, customized to your liking and what makes sense for your business!

Cons

Speaking of being able to filter through jobs based on stages, I'd say my least favorite thing is that when you do filter the jobs based on stage or whatever filter you want to use, the filter does not hold as you toggle between jobs. What I mean is, every time you filter your job cards, and you select a job, when you go "Back" into your full job card list, the filter completely resets and you have to reset your filters all over again. I think this is something important that should be addressed to save time and frustration from having to filter and re-filter the list over and over. The filters should hold no matter where in Clock Shark you navigate to. If I go to the schedule and back to jobs, the filters you set before should still remain and not refresh until you're ready to change them, just like in an excel spreadsheet.

Reason for choosing ClockShark

I wasn't able to upload pictures or attachments to job cards w/ ChronoTek, and it wasn't as "clean" of a look and layout. There seemed to be more things that I didn't know how to use or would never use than there were features I would use. Also, tracking Travel Time was not as easy as w/ Clock Shark. W/ ChronoTek, I would have to go through each route and approve it. I don't have time to look through dozens of routes on a daily basis and approve them one-by-one. W/ Clock Shark, I create a job card for Travel Time, and employees clock into the Travel Time card between job sites. It's much easier, and I can see a fluid timeline as I scan through their time sheets, and gaps are easily detected this way. I can see the full picture of their day by scrolling through their time sheets.

My experience with ClockShark has been excellent. If I run into a problem, or need help running a report, there is always someone available to help.

Pros

This software has changed my business! It has simplified and streamlined time tracking and collection, payroll, workers comp reporting, and job cost monitoring. The features make my work so much more efficient and employees time so much more accurate that it saves my company money!

Cons

The only problem I have is that sub contractors do not have a category. The only option for their label is “employee”. For subs I pay at an hourly rate this can get a little touchy for my workers comp auditors since I am required to pay workers comp on all employees. There needs to be a separate subcontractor title for individuals using the app.

### "Fast implementation and very easy for the worker to learn and use"

We had a software that we used that had all the features that are shown in our "like least", but the everyone hated it because it was so hard to use and restrictive in how you could view information. The "like most" things shown by far out weigh the negatives. The time spent on the things we need to enter manually now, or reallocate after the data is imported into our payroll software, a small price compared to the frustrations of our old software.

Pros

GPS Location Tracking. Easy to learn for users. Color coding of jobs and employees. Tracks Time Off requests. Can see who is clocked in and where on a map. Best Customer Support we have ever had from any software company.

Cons

Can't sort jobs and cost codes numerically. Time Off or paid Holiday time does not integrate with our system. Only one time approval level allowed. Requires that all hours MUST be posted to a job and cannot be considered overhead time. Does not allow for entry of Per Diem, Prevailing Wage, or Double Time and Triple Time pay rates.

### "Better time and job tracking"

We are now tracking time far more reliably and are able to keep up with what stages jobs are at which means we can invoice out much faster. Staff are able to add notes to the jobs as they go so work descriptions are far more comprehensive.

Pros

The mobile access is fantastic for staff to keep track of their times and switching between jobs is easy for them. Easy for staff to add photos and notes to each job. Staff can use voice to text to enter notes. ClockShark is helping us to bill out hours much more reliably which manes less missed billable hours for us and and accountability for our customers.

Cons

I have to produce a report to see the notes for a job. Would be good if this info was displayed when you clicked on the job or a "view job report" button rather than having to go through the menus at the top of the page.

Simple but functional user interface. Clock out questions for regulatory reporting.

Customer service has been superb. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] helped me with set-up and even after our initial zoom meeting he answered my questions and helped me with a few other set-up items needed. He is personable and kept his meeting appointments with me as scheduled. We had to add a time tracking app when we decided to go from in-house payroll to outsourcing our payroll to ADP as they don't do the job costing which requires hours worked on specific jobs. It has been a blessing because now we can track where our employees are at a glance and their time is more accurate. Plus the time is recorded daily so we don't have to wait until the end of the week to see how the hours are doing on each job. It is an easy process to send the time information to ADP as well as to update the timesheets in my QuickBooks so that employee hours show up there. The app itself is clean looking and easy to use.

Pros

Our work is done at our customers' homes and as an owner of a small company we can't be everywhere at once. Having the GPS Geo Location has been extremely helpful in managing the employees. If they forget to clock out you can see what time they left the area so as to get accurate time. You can see if they left the jobsite early or if they arrived late (many times this time would be inaccurate on their paper timesheets). The integration with ADP for our outsourced payroll as well as the integration with QuickBooks has been very seamless.

Cons

There was definitely a bit of work in the beginning to get things sorted out. I had to inactive 20 years of clients in my QuickBooks and also add the customer address to the Ship To address because that is the address ClockShark uses for their app. It took a few hours to get that updated but it will be worth it. Some extra work that I didn't anticipate is that in order to use the Geo Location I have to go in to each job and click the button to add that. When QuickBooks updates to ClockShark I have to remember what the new jobs are and go in to add the GeoFence and to make sure I remembered to put the address in the right spot. I have emailed them to request that our GeoFence is activated for all new jobs automatically and to update some functionality.

CS is a good system aside from the above comments. It has tools that other online/mobile timekeeping systems do not. At the same time, the GPS issues do not provide a trustworthy method of tracking of employees during work shifts. Rather hard to hold them accountable for certain situations when the system itself has errors and glitches.

Pros

The ability to track and schedule paid time off is a plus for this system. Most others in this arena have not implemented or developed this within their systems. Also the ability to track employees during their work shifts.

Cons

Although the GPS tracking allows for tracking employees during work shifts, the system has many glitches and inconsistencies such as showing someone leave the country and return within an hour. Or reflecting their position as in the middle of the woods or a nearby lake. In the area of "Time Off Requests", the filtering system used on the dashboard and timesheet screens should be implemented to avoid having to go through pages of prior authorized requests that include former employees that have been deactivated.

### "Clock Shark needs clock in rounding!!"

Everything else about clock shark is great. Love the interface, online help, easy to use for employees. If they could implement the clock in shift rounding, I would give Clock Shark a 10/10

Pros

Everything for the most part is great. Geofencing, uploading documents for easy access, payroll friendly, employee time sheet accountability.

Cons

I do NOT like the fact that if my employees get to the job early and clock in when they get there, say 6:45am for a 7am start I can't have the system round their start time to 7am. Not having this one feature costs me thousands a year and probably more than what I am saving by switching to Clock Shark from my previous system. This seems like a very easy thing to program into the system, and I don't know why Clock Shark can't figure that out.

Since we began with ClockShark we have realized improved employee performance and reduced lost employee time. We use the program to monitor time on task to improve billing and invoicing for services

Pros

ClockShark is very easy to use and makes training new employees simple. We appreciate the fact out employees have multiple options to access the program in office and in the field. We also are highly impressed with the customer services ClockShark offers us. Their staff are highly skilled and provide immediate service when we have needed technical information and assistance with the program.

Cons

Honestly, we have very little to say negatively about ClockShark and their service. We have used other software to manage our employee timesheets and we have been highly satisfied with their program and services over others we used in the past. We doubt we will make any changes in the future.

ClockShark has saved me so much office time in the evenings. I am out working all day with the guys, so now I actually have more family time at night. With the integration into Quickbooks I am able to do payroll in just a couple minutes. Thank you!

Pros

We tried ClockShark for it's mobile Time clock for employees which works great. No more pen and paper timesheets. What I quickly fell in love with is the Schedules section. I own a Landscaping/Hardscaping company and easily setup my Weekly and Bi-weekly mowing customers for the year. I am able to add 'Ready to be Scheduled' jobs for all my other projects, pull up the Month (or Week) Schedule and drag and drop these to assign to employees.

Cons

I wish there was a way to set the default filter when you open the Schedule task. I would set mine for 'Ready to be Scheduled' jobs because this is my primary use of this task.

### "Second time Customer for a Reason!!"

I had worked for another similar company and implemented the program there, upon starting with this new company I thought it was worth using again because my experience with ClockShark the first time was amazing. Customer service is unparalleled, if I get stuck I send a message and within minutes someone helps me!! They've even sent me videos explaining how to do things!

Pros

The ease of use and simplicity of the on-screen format make it less overwhelming than other software I've tried. It is easy to present to employees and overall very user friendly. The people that provide service are incredibly helpful and super friendly to me!! There is also no hard sell for anything, I'm hoping to grow the company and when I'm ready for the premium level I know it will be an easy switch but no one has ever tried to convince me I needed more than I have.

Cons

I would like there to be perhaps, a server for picture and video attachments as my techs like this feature the best, being able to upload information this way so that they have it for the future as well as the rest of the team to view. You can attach pictures but the videos have given us a bit of issue and the size of the file allowed is a bit restrictive.

Reason for choosing ClockShark

HouseCall pro was #1 very expensive but it was also way overkill for what our needs were. We are a small company that does invoicing and bookkeeping through QB and I couldn't justify the price. Not to mention, after I cancelled they kept billing me hundreds of dollars and it was a challenge to get it back. Customer service not their #1 priority I guess! After this experience I didn't even want to take a chance with ServiceTitan so opted out after the sales call.

Overall experience has been great. Great price point, great customer service. They are always evolving and that is what keeps us here. They are willing to make adjustments based on the ever change environment and needs of their customers.

Pros

Customer service is beyond fantastic! The team really cares about the feedback and suggestions they receive and do their best to implement as much as they can. The simplicity to the user is great as we have technicians that need things to be quick and simple. Reports have come along way in the past year. They give a lot of information and you are able to customize them a bit more now. Implementation is quick and easy. Works amazingly well with QuickBooks and other similar software.

Cons

There are some changes I would make personally to fit our needs. There isn't any real cons with Clockshark honestly. It does what we need it to do and the things it doesn't are simply requests we'd like to see to fit us better as a company.

Pros

It is very user friendly and connects with Sage 100 contractor through the Ryvit connector. It is also cheaper than other options and they don't try to sell you on HR or other functions really. All about time tracking and hours reporting.

Cons

There are some features that could be better. For example, scheduling I would like to see the availability to only pick cost codes that are in the budget. Similarly, when switching cost codes administratively for a field employee that picked the wrong one, I'd like to see only the budgeted cost codes. Lastly, there should be a way to remove inactive cost codes. We have a ton that are no longer used and I want to remove them from CS entirely.

Because ClockShark handles all aspects of time sheets and PTO requests, I have gained hours of productivity on the job. Employees can see their own information, such as PTO used, how many hours they still have available, how much time they've clocked for the week, etc. It gives them the power to look at their personal data to answer any questions they may have about time worked or taken. Managers can approve time sheets and PTO requests much more quickly and efficiently, allowing them to move on to other tasks. Aside from all the wonderful time-saving features of ClockShark...my favorite part is the incredible customer service. Every question is answered quickly, pleasantly, professionally, and correctly. Other businesses would do well to model their customer service after ClockShark's!

Pros

We use the time sheets, time off, and gps tracking features the most. Since implementing ClockShark, the tedious gathering, examining, and approving of time sheets has gone the way of the dinosaur. Clock in and Clock out mistakes can be corrected easily, and all employees can use the mobile app or computer to access the software. PTO requests have also been simplified and are easy to track since using ClockShark. This software has truly shaved days off of the administrative time and effort normally used when handling time sheets and PTO requests for payroll. The gps tracking feature is great when you have an employee out in the field who has mechanical issues...he/she can be easily tracked to quickly receive any help needed.

Cons

We have a few employees not comfortable with technology and it has taken some time to get them comfortable in using the software. There have also been times when an employee clocks in or out on their mobile app and it doesn't sync with the program. Most of the time this happens in locations with poor cell or internet service. It is easily fixed when this occurs.

The support was amazing. They reached out at the exact right time when I needed assistance to get things automated and setup properly. It was almost like they knew I was at the stage where I needed help!

Pros

The GPS function for clocking in is perfect so I can actually see where my employees are during work. The ability for my team to create their own schedule for their clients makes my life so much easier. They can upload contracts and/or pictures directly into the punch so I can get what I need without them having to send an email seperately.

Cons

I would love to see an add on feature that gives us the ability to send reminders to our customers when they appear on our schedule.

Better employee facing features, better ability for my employees to create their own schedules, didn't require another upgrade for my Quickbooks accounting software (which QB Time needed me to upgrade my accounting subscription) to use the same features that ClockShark already gives me. ClockShark has at a minimum sharpened up our day to day timekeeping. Since as a boss I can check to see if the guys are diligent in recording their hours, they rarely are trying to “remember what they did on Monday” on Friday when they need to band in timesheets for the week

Pros

I need a stripped down version of this. I don’t/won’t use many of the features behind the simple time keeping app entered manually end of day

Cons

How I’m paying as much as we do for as little of it that we use

### "Clockshark used for Carpentry staff"

Our field employees are able to clock in and out of jobs more accurately using this software and it only takes a minute or two to update when they change jobs during the day.

Pros

The software is very easy to navigate from an administrative aspect. It is also very easy to use for the employees in the field and the mobile app is also very user friendly. The GPS tracking feature is useful to track movements for the day if there is a question on a specific time entry

Cons

There really isn't anything I dislike . . . I don't use all the features of the software, only because it serves our need.

### "ClockShark is a great product!"

Overall, ClockShark is a huge benefit to our company. It helps us to track the employee hours as well as their locations (in real time). It eliminates the need for paper copies of timesheets, which can be hard to decipher at times and, in all honestly, tough to prove accuracy. The foremen are able to see which workers have clocked-in correctly to their worksites, with the ability to allocate hours to certain job numbers for accounting purposes and job costing. Without ClockShark, we would still be doing things inefficiently and inaccurately.

Pros

I love how I can clock-in/out from anywhere using my cell phone! This app provides total freedom from having to use a punch clock located in a specific location, or filling out paperwork on a daily basis to keep my hours up to date. The ClockShark app keeps accurate records that I can reference at any time, including past timesheets if needed.

Cons

I honestly can't think of anything negative to say about my personal experience with ClockShark. If I absolutely had to think of something, I suppose it would be beneficial for someone like me if there was an auto clock-in feature because I start at the same time every day. This way if I happened to forget about clocking in, it could do it for me and then let me know that I was clocked-in with an alert from the app.

The ability to see when crew members leave the job site is tantamount. Most don't realise that if it is a paid break, then they may sit & relax, but should not leave the site as this can be misread by the insurance company should anything happen!

Pros

This product should appeal to anyone with little or no computer knowledge.

It is simple to use & integrated easily with our exisisting programmes.

This product is so simple to use, all of our employees caught on in no time at all! The support staff are amazing - quick responses and always so eager to help. Having this software has not only increased the accuracy of our payroll and job cost reporting it has also added a whole new level of verifiability to our data. Not to mention that it is one of the most affordable apps on the market. DEFINITELY best value for your dollar.

Pros

The most important feature of ClockShark is how simple it is to use. We were very hesitant to transition from bi-weekly paper timesheets to a real time, time tracking app for fear of employee push back. That being said the transition has been seamless due to how easy the app makes using it!

Cons

There are some limited functionalities (ie. alerts/notifications are not as customizable as I would like). That being said the development team are eager to hear product suggestions and are constantly working on developing and improving the software.

I am absolutely satisfied with the quality of this software.

Pros

This program is very high-quality for monitoring very important parameters of the company's work, so it is very important. it is also extremely easy to use and easy to integrate.

Cons

I honestly don't think that this program contains any non-essential features or that it contains anything that may be insignificant for the company or that makes integration difficult.

We are still on process of the wire transfer.

Pros

It is user-friendly. What caught my eye is the Kiosk.

Cons

It is very expensive which cost the delay for the approval.

### "Good for 1 job per day work sites, user friendly"

User friendly for many things especially adding new jobs to the clock, but as I mentioned before, only good for one job per day shops. And, the base cost per month is put this at a rate much higher than similar programs, especially for small shops.

Pros

Easy to add jobs to the time clock. Job roster is easy to look over with "Hours worked" and "Hours Budgeted" readily available, no having running reports to bill customers.

Cons

Cannot edit employees while they are clocked in the system. Other programs will allow me to fix errors during the day, such as clocked into the wrong job in the morning or missed clocking in when they started working. Editing during the day while the error is fresh allows me to get a head start on payroll and being sure employees are paid for the work they do and that time is billed to the proper job. Base monthly costs put this program at a higher monthly cost than similar programs.
