We are a small but busy plumbing business managing 3 full time employees. For several months we trialed apps to find one that fit all our needs and Clock Shark was by far the most suitable. Its format is easy to use and the features make the daily management of staff time tracking easy. An added benefit for our business was being able to have electronic data from each job available in real time. This enables us to accurately invoice jobs without the need to follow up with staff regarding time spent and materials used.

Pros

User friendly Appropriate for business of any size.

Cons

Great to be able to GPS track where staff are clocking in and out but would be even better if you could follow them in real time.

Apps was easy to install, setup, and use. Apps simplifies Report, User, Jobs, and Task setup. Customer support was awesome - Someone responded to my chats within 1-2 minutes, and even screen shared to walk me through a few challenges I once had. If you have a mobile workforce you need to demo this product. Knowing where workers are and approximately how long there at one place is great to review weekly.

Pros

Easy of setup, training, and use by workers.

Cons

Missing GPS reporting. Presently tracks by manually stepping through a workers GPS time stamps.

GPS tracking was main reason for choosing ClockShark.

So far so good. I am new, so all I can say is the customer support is fab.

Pros

I like how this is visual, in terms of quickly checking to see who has been clocked in throughout the week.

Cons

I have been unable yet to find a report that works for our weekly payroll, but this is only because what we need is almost too basic.

Pros

It was so hard to track my guys before. I’m a painting contractor And it was hard to know how many hours my guys were really working. Now I know for sure. This app saves me money!

Cons

If you have an older phone it can draw too much power and cause it to overheat .

Pros

This has been a dream. I can track anything I need to from expenses per job to hours on jobs. I can set locations and be notified if employees clock in or don't clock in. Any time I have had questions, Hans has been very helpful and responds quickly.

Pros

I like that it is easy to use. Our hourly employees have no issues using it.

I don't use many features. All I need is clocking in/out for a few hourly employees.

Accurate, easy to understand

Pros

It is easy to understand for me, and to get payroll done. I like the way you can see who is working now very helpful but i would like to print that form because sometimes i need to show other people where the employees are.

Cons

It will be easy for the employees just to have access to a simple four digit codes, instead of the log in and password but again it its easy for me. I would like to have a report that looks exactly like the time sheet information as a calendar format so i can print that information exactly the way i see it in the computer.

Being able to accurately record job labor costs.

Pros

The one outstanding feature is the customer support. Always available to assist you. Great for keeping track of jobs and and labor costs for the jobs.

Cons

Had to figure out a work around to be able to show jobs by address and not customer name. Crew knows addresses where they are working, but are not familar with customer names.

We researched many employee time variables but what we like about clock shark is the gps feature for each employee so we know they are on the job and where they are when they clock in and clock out.
