Pros

The daily diary is a game changer, very easy to stay in touch with parents. Very good now that the medication form is up and running. The new home screen is a very good update and makes it very easy to see at a glance how many staff and children are in, any medications and so on.

Cons

It would be a good idea for parents to be able to create a medication form, at least for non-prescribed medication

The features are better and there were more features. Writing observations was simpler, choosing the framework and choosing eyfs statements is fantastic, availability of the resources online is very good.

Pros

Die Einführung von in unsere Kita klappte super. Die Software ist für die Eltern klar und erleichtert die Kommunikation mit ihnen erheblich.

Cons

Gerade weil wir viele Prozesse auf abgestimmt haben, sind wir oft unzufrieden und genervt. Features werden verändert oder ganz entfernt, die Software läuft nicht mehr stabil, es gibt immer wieder Abbrüche, lange Phasen, in denen kein Zugriff möglich ist (von Kita- und Elternseite). Die Rechte einzelner Rollen erscheint oft nicht logisch. Gerade für die Personalplanung gibt es Software-Defizite. Prozesse, die funktionierten, sind plötzlich nicht mehr möglich. Man hat nicht den Eindruck, dass die Entwickler hier den Überblick haben. Was wir dringend brauchen, ist die Möglichkeit, dass jeder Mitarbeiter relevante Personalinformationen (z. B. Krankheit, Urlaub, sonstige Abwesenheiten) bei jedem Mitarbeiter hinterlegen kann, ohne dass das Profil eines Mitarbeiters eingesehen kann. Das ist für uns wichtig, um Abwesenheiten tagesaktuell berücksichtigen zu können und für die Dokumentation von Krankheiten (in den Berichten). Es wäre weiterhin wünschenswert, wenn Vor- und Nachname der Kinder im Einchecken sichtbar ist, um bei Namensdoppelungen Verwechslung auszuschließen. Das gleiche gilt für die Kontakte. Auch hier sollten Vor- und Nachname sichtbar sein. Beim Setzen eines Statussymbols wäre es eine große Erleichterung, wenn darüber direkt eine Nachricht an die Eltern geht. Jetzt müssen sie erst in das Profil ihres Kindes gehen, um dort das Symbol zu sehen, ohne einen Hinweis bekommen zu haben, dass im Profil eine Info hinterlegt ist. Schade, kein Platz mehr. :-)

### "Has all you need plus a team that help and listen"

The team have been overwhelmingly supportive, helpful, solutions driven. They have also asked us for our input on possible changes, and how these would be implemented. As a whole team we are really pleased with . As the leader I'm delighted - it does so much that we need, and it keeps getting better.

Pros

was super easy to set up, and has been easy to adapt and change as we've gone along. The onboarding team were very helpful. As we've used it the main things I really value include - the invoices being simple, accurate, and easy to do; tracking children's progress is easy and has customisations that make it work for us; and the team find it easy to use - they have a variety of skills and competences as any team do but even the most techniphobic can sign in and out.

Cons

If I had to choose a niggle then - we run our nursery day quite differently, and I can't use the overview of bookings to see where we have spaces I can sell.

Reason for choosing Famly

The ability to properly test out, and the way the team really listened to what our pressure points were with Blossom made us feel that we were being taken seriously. It does what we want in one package.

There are so many benefits to , not only is the software great, the content they produce through the newsletters is so current and gets practitioners to really think about their practice and be engaging. We feel very proud that we are part of the Famly family, and recommend their services to everyone.

Pros

This software will literally make your life easier. There is often a desire to become paperless, but this actually makes it possible. We love working with , the content they produce and the desire to support settings is so unique. They are the glue holding it together!

Cons

Occupancy is a bit difficult to use and doesn't quite give us everything we need. I have passed on the feedback which was really well received and I appreciate meeting with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] to discuss this and present what we thought we needed.

It truly has become an integral part of how we work now! I love it that much that when I changed jobs I persuaded my new boss to get - I simply do a better job when I have such a good tool to aid my management!

Pros

I love that is so easy to use. It is intuitive, it has a ton of useful features and has enabled us to replace many many of our paper based clunky and long winded practices. We love that parents have a space where they can go to see all the updates and return to again and again if needed. It is so important that we can communicate among the team as well as with parents in the same space.

Cons

Integration with current business was very easy. In general we are very happy with the software, and even our sister nursery has started to use it now too. However, there are a number of things that we still would love to see improved: \*calendar to look like a page (30 days to view) \*calendar to show all new starters (day of registration)\*ability to input holiday entitlement for the year so that system then can show how many holiday days are left for the staff and management to see (currently still have to have a spreadsheet for this) \*ability to upload documents for parents \*ability to alter welcome message so we can include links to our policies / all about me books \*ability to edit About fields on child's profile so that we can add questions that are relevant for us \*ability for parents to upload documents (Birth certificate, proof of address) \*ability for parents to fill out their contact details only once if they have multiple children, as well as ability to link children to a number of contacts rather than filling out the same information many times

I used it before, and the first time I chose it at my previous job it was how many things we could do with one software and how quick and easy to use it was. Staff intuitively knew what to do.

Brilliant! Transferring over from our previous software to was initially nerve racking as we didn't want to lose any data, unsure if the new software would suit our needs and the biggest hurdle, we would all have to learn a new system all over again! But the training given was brilliant, clear and effective. Famly staff were always on hand to answer any questions and guide us when needed. Our staff are now confident and use the software daily with no problems at all.

Pros

Training sessions available to cover all aspects. staff are really friendly, very polite, approachable and always on the other side of the phone, e mail or help desk if needed. The software is easy to use, there are great features that our previous software didn't have.

Cons

Training sessions only lasted max 30min, would have been great to have a longer time slot.

So far, my experience of the app has been good. I have had support and training on the app and i am confident that I can receive support very quickly from the helpdesk. We have had a few issues where information hasn't successfully saved to the app, but apart from this and the cons listed above the app is working well.

Pros

Overall, I am happy with the app. My favorite part of the app is the News feed. We have positive feedback from the parents about the app and that they find it easy to use.

Cons

I do feel that adding holidays and holiday discounts could be improved because this part of the app is very time consuming for me. I also think that the app could improve on their data protection. Children's full names are being shared on the news feed when parents are liking and commenting on posts. Children's full names, DOB, and sex are also being shown on the signing in and out sheets. We have had to create our own because we are unable to have this amount of information visible for parents. It would be helpful if there was a filter option so that we are able to choose what information we would like t include on these pages.

changed our lives! We were in the past with paper and not really maximizing Class Dojo because of how clunky that was. Famly is the best for everyone involved: the administration, the teachers, the parents, the children.

Pros

Too much to list here! Top two are that the Learning Observations being tied directly to New York State Early Learning Guidelines and Go Live.

Cons

Family / parent-to-parent engagement could use a little attention. Teacher profiles in which there could be a Bio section, more information for parents to see to get to know their children's teachers better.

So far the experience has been mainly positive from both staff and parents using the app. Could be a few more features and informative data streams that would make the app even better.

Pros

Invoicing and communications on the app are great, so messing around with the booking plans to suit our setting, which i'm sure could be added as a feature.Fast communication with parents, and very informative to provide information in real time.

Cons

Could be a few additional features for parents to get notifications when a temperature is registered as high, and a medication form is put on their account.Some features missing like staff rotas and attendance percentages that could be included in the price and help others understand more important information, and the assessments and observations could be shown better on the smaller tablet so staff can access all of the eyfs data on the screen.

Very positive, they are quick to get in contact when requested, constantly receiving updates about new features and improvements and it has really streamlined our service, keeping everything we need in one place. Still don't think we have used it to its full potential as there is so much it can do.

Pros

Really easy to implement into our business, allows quick and easy communication and information sharing for service users and staff.

Cons

Nothing really, they have a function where you can suggest new features that would be beneficial to your setting and see what is currently being developed which is great. Already we have had two suggestions developed and now in place within the system.

Has decreased paperwork but increased time spent online filling in information. Greater communication with parents. Everything in one place.

Pros

Love as it is great for corresponding with parents, recording observations and other information such as nappies, meals etc. Have great help feature and love the personal approach by the Famly team.

Cons

There are too many features?? There are several ways to display or retrieve the same information.Sometimes it is not obvious how to do something. Printing particular pages only prints part of what you want printed.Would like to be able to sign in visitors, students, and others who do not need a login but need to be accounted for for fire regulations for example.

It is so easy to use for our staff to use and has developed communication with families and work colleagues, especially those important must get out messages on the newsfeed! The support staff at are very helpful and always do their best to support when we have questions. We love it.

Pros

So much time is saved on tasks that would take us days!

Cons

Some updates means small features no longer available - holiday calculator is challenging now as it doesn't allow consider varying contracts and this has to be put in manually.

It's super easy to keep in touch with the nursery, getting updates from the nursery is also super easy. Finding out updates on what my kids have been doing and aying with at nursery is also really easy.

Pros

The interaction between staff and families is invaluable. They love seeing what their children have been doing and being able to interact while at work has been great

Cons

The feature where I was able to add staff shifts and monitor their times has now disappeared. This was really useful for monitoring their breaks. We seem to have lost that feature

Mostly better than what we were using before, but not nearly as good as I had hoped for. I have been disappointed with the lack of ability to solve problems.

Pros

It is slightly more user friendly than the previous software we used. It is generally easier to contact parents, although group messages can be a bit of a hassle!

Cons

It is really difficult to get any help with issues. We have had issues with uploading photos and spent hours going round and round in circles with customer support, and have eventually given up! Also the way that you can only save an observation or assessment as a draft once is a big problem for us. And the fact that drafts can’t be seen by others is a problem if we have long term sickness, we can’t see what is in their drafts.

Der Schutz der Personaldaten ist nicht ausreichend. Die Kollegen können sehen ob ein Mitarbeiter krank ist, Urlaub hat oder ein anderer Grund der Abwesenheit vorliegt. Das darf nicht sein. Diese Informatione dürften nur der Administratorin vorliegen. Für die Kollegen dürfte nur "abwesend" sichtbar sein.

Diversity of view options, ability to tag/save photos into a collection, direct instant messaging to staff/teams and a sense reporting out of hours

Cons

In the balance page, it took my about a year to realise I could have a more detailed breakdown of the figures by rotating my phone. Maybe a line to explain that some features work better in landscape or a larger device at some point

Die Kommunikation und Organisation im Team, sowie die Elternzufriedenheit hat sich durch die -App verbessert. Durch die richtige Nutzung kann viel kostbare Zeit in der Planung eingespart werden.

Pros

Der Aufbau der Software ist einfach und benutzerfreundlich. Das Team kann dadurch recht schnell eingearbeitet werden. Tagesorganisation gelingt vereinfacht, sowie Kommunikation mit den Eltern wird einfacher aber nicht weniger!

Cons

Die vielen Softwarefehler stressen im pädagogischen Alltag. Der Preis ist recht hoch angesetzt, wenn nicht alles genutzt wird.

The help and support is thorough and professional. The team is patient and will explain in a way to suit individual requirements. There are various help methods including messaging, links and online guide and the response time is quick. Clear examples are provided with screen shots where helpful. The team has a forward thinking approach to ensure the software improvements are in line with industry changes. I have been really impressed and this has removed stressful elements from my role.

Pros

Navigation of screens; links with clear instructions for queries; clear use of colours/icons/visuals to aid navigation; comprehensive reports which export to csv; ability to create own lists from data (e.g. birthdays); straightforward invoicing including ad-hoc sessions, credit notes and debt monitoring.

Cons

Nothing. Once we learnt the differences compared to previous system, we could adapt admin processes to work with . There are several aspects we do not currently use but this is only because we are linked to a local authority's processes. For independent nurseries, many features will be beneficial to efficiency.

Completely and utterly worthwhile! OK so tech-phobes need to learn the package but the parents find it very easy to engage with it so it's a great communication tool. Also works hard to have the most up-to-date knowledge of the (early years) sector so you know every feature it is offers is useful. The more you look into what it offers the more interesting and worthwhile it gets. It streamlined our invoicing system and then our observations and now more.

Pros

This is has streamlined our invoicings.We are communicating more and better with parents (not just messages, but notifications on children, observations, nappy changes, registration etc)We can track our revenue better (trend analysis etc)Lots of industry advice available

Cons

I think I would like the invoice to be clearer for the parent but I need to discuss this more with the team.

Im Großen und Ganzen ist eine Arbeitserleichterung und bietet einige neue und alte Funktionen im praktischen digitalen Format, das einerseits Papier und Zeit spart. Andererseits aber auch die digitalen Medien noch präsenter macht als üblich. (Dies ist jedoch Nutzerindividuell)Es wäre für die Benutzung der App von uns noch Vorteil, wenn ein paar neue Funktionen impliziert würden: Erstellen von Tabellen in den Neuigkeiten, in denen die Eltern sich direkt eintragen können. Umfragen, die erstellt werden können.Eine Funktion, die es ermöglicht direkt in der App z.B. Fotocollagen zu erstellen.

Pros

Der einfache Überblick über die Kinder, den Tag, die Mitarbeiter und der schnelle Zugriff auf die Gesundheitsdaten aller. Die schnelle Kommunikation mit den Eltern und die Erstellung der Neuigkeiten erleichtert den Tag sowie der Einblick der Eltern in den Tag der Kinder ist großartig.

Cons

Es gibt zu häufig Tage an denen morgens nicht funktioniert. Wir keine Nachrichten an die Eltern schicken können, keine Nachrichten empfangen können oder überhaupt nicht auf die App zu greifen können.
